1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How much would you pay for a doll outfit?

Dec 14, 2020

    1. Probably no more than $150...I just admire doll clothes from makers like Pink2nd from afar, there's no way I could afford them. :aeyepop:

    2. I just recently got a very fancy doll outfit (shirt, pants, jacket, jewelry, cape - all embroidered) and I paid 220 Euro including shipping and taxes. Depending on the outfit I'm willing to go up to 300? But then it really needs to be fancy. For normal clothes, extra outfits I'm willing to pay 20 - 50 Euro per piece, again depending on complexity.

    3. Personally i like to keep it around the 100 euro mark if the clothes are durable for a long time. For example, i would not spend a lot on a set which is mainly pleather, since those deteriorate after 2-3 years. I had a brand new unopened set by volks that was for their yuki morikawa doll, and the shoes deteriorated immedietly into dust in my hands. However, that is just my own personal preference. There are definitely some doll outfits that should and deserve to be priced above that!

    4. In theory, around $150 for something I really like with nice details and as little pleather as possible. In practice, I think the most I've spent on a single doll outfit so far is around $50...? But that's a little rare for me; most of my doll clothes purchases have been $25 or less. I also have some sewing aptitude so I'll also make stuff.
