1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How often do you bathe your doll and wash their clothes?

Dec 8, 2009

    1. the only time i bathe a doll is when i get an old secondhand one. if it didn't already come to me unstrung, i unstring it and soak all the parts in oxy clean, rinse it and dry it before i put new string in.

aside from that? i'll spot clean them if i actually get something on them, which hardly ever happens. once or twice i've found some small superficial stains from black clothing that i've used a magic eraser and some water to remove. that's about it. i don't do doll laundry-- they can't actually dirty their clothes, so i see no point in it.

    2. I should probably do this more often.

    3. I wash my dolls probably every few months, not on a schedule. I sponge/alcohol any color transfer off if needed and then surface clean them with water and a tiny bit of dish soap. Also a good time to brush off any dust from the wig or clothes and fresh up their look :kitty2 I don't do them all at once, it would take all day :sweat
I don't wash their clothes cuz I hate doing laundry cuz I am constantly doing laundry for human:doh

    4. as needed really, i bring my dolls (mostly vinyl) to cons so ill usually clean them after a con except for the ones with stain prevention suits

    5. Not often as I should but when its time for a restring I do but I noticed they aren't too bad.

Their clothes I did not too long ago. But I should have been more careful on some as their iron on transfer died and then had to be tossed. They were a decade old so thats a given. Also wish I did it more often and made sure better storage as some are now ruined with stains.

Anyone know how to get those out? I have tried Oxy, clean too no luck. :sigh

Wigs I've been also washing them with shampoo I bought off of Volks and styling them better.
