1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Feb 16, 2018

    1. I'm 28 now. Got my first doll on May of last year.

    2. I’m 35, I was first interested in the hobby at 19, and I was finally able to save up and get my first doll at 25!

It’s kind of odd to think about how my first doll is 11 now, and as old as some of the kids who have been introduced into the hobby!!

    3. I turn 20 next month. I've been into dolls for my whole life, and interested in BJDs for quite a few years, but I never owned BJDs until a couple (or maybe a few?) years ago. :)

    4. I am 29 and plan on owning my first BJD by next year.

    5. I am 26 and started my bjd collection when i was 18.

    6. I'm going to be 19 in january. Bought my first doll with summer job money when I was 17. c:

    7. I'm 32 at the moment. I liked bjd since I was 18 (Volks, Luts, D.O.D) and i bought my first BJD at 30 y.o.

    8. I am 24 and I bought my first BJD when I was 16. My story is similar to mysticdelights. I was 'born' into the doll collecting hobby and got into BJDs specifically a few years before I could actually own one.

    9. I feel so incredibly young here! I hope I can still be collecting dolls when I am much older!

    10. Eheheh- I'm currently twenty-seven and I will be twenty-eight towards the end of January.

    11. I am 26 till February! It feels very strange to be so close to thirty...

    12. I’m 16, and I got my first (and so far only) bjd a year ago.
It can be really hard to save up money for dolls, considering I don’t have a job!
I’ve found it really hard to find other hobbyists my age so far.

    13. 27, birthday in July. I've been idly interested in BJDs since I was a teenager, but they weren't attainable until recently.

I was a doll destroyer as a child (Barbies lost their heads, I've heard) and had no interest in dolls until I saw BJD construction, either. Something about the jointing and size just makes me happy.

    14. Just doing my part to push the bell curve a bit further... I'm freshly 37, and got my first resin bjd this year.

I technically started collecting "nicer" dolls at about 16-17, but it's been a long road to bjd land.

    15. 16! I got my first bjd at 15 and am working on getting more. My collection started with figmas basically. I loved posing them but i hated not being able to change their clothes or hair. mainstream dolls were to annoying with their limited posability and cheap facepaint. When i found bjd's it opened my eyes to the perfect irl customizable character.

    16. I'm 23 and I'm hoping to get my first bjd sometime next year.

    17. I'm 31 and have almost been in the hobby for one year. It's a ton of fun.

    18. Nearly 32. Been into dolls since my early 20s

    19. I first got interested in collecting BJDs when I was maybe fourteen or fifteen, I’m 19 now and my 20th birthday is in less than a month!
