1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You (continued... 2)

Feb 16, 2018

    1. 26 next week, and I hope to get my first doll by the end of the year! I've been wanting a BJD since high school. Fingers crossed!

    2. I’m 18 (though I turn 19 very soon). I started getting into the hobby when I was around 13-14, and got my first bjd when I was 17!

    3. I'm 21.

    4. I'll be 30 in a week.

It's fun to see people from different age groups in this hobby! Even if we 20-30somethings seem to be a small majority. xD

    5. I'm 31! I got my first doll about five years ago, but was a fan since high school.

    6. I’m 39 and have always been into dolls (mostly Barbies until I fell in love with BJDs two years ago).
My grandma, who is 93, is also into dolls. She has some of my dolls of when I was a small kid.

    7. Just turned 30 and still going strong in the hobby.

    8. I'm still 31 but in two months I will be 32 xD

    9. Soon 30 years old  Started doll hobby just this year but I've been dreaming about it since I was a teen

    10. I'm 21! Ive been into bjd for years but only now that I'm working fulltime without having to worry abt school can I justify the expense lol

    11. 46 in 8 days. I got my one (and so far only) doll in 2008. I have told myself I will NOT consider another until I've got her the way I want her. But Iplehouse has a sale going on...
      Sigh, stupid cancer bills!

    12. I am 24 and I have quite a few ball jointed dolls. I first started in the hobby when I was 18 when my dad was not around my dolls anymore and I could get one. I spent a lot of time collecting dolls my whole life so the ball jointed dolls just seemed natural. I also have a family history of collecting dolls.

    13. I'm 17, I started looking at ball jointed dolls a few years ago after I played nameless and managed to convince myself, with a lot of help from my mum, that it was worth the money if it made me happy. I've always loved dolls and I'm so glad I got one.

    14. I’m 26 years old and think I was 16 when i came across the hobbie.

    15. I'm 26. I first discovered Dollfie Dreams a long time ago (I was in my early teens), but was only able to get into the hobby when I was 23.

    16. I’m 26. First got into BJDs when I was 14, but couldn’t afford one until 5 years later, which I’m actually glad about. I feel like my tastes had a chance to really solidify before I spent the money. I’ll be out of the community for years at a time, focusing on my antique dolls, but I always wind up coming back.

    17. Almost 30. Not sorry! <3

    18. I’m 22 about to turn 23! im so surprised a lot of people here are my age too :o
