1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You (continued... 2)

Feb 16, 2018

    1. I'm 27 and recently got into bjds. I'm waiting for my first one to come (hopefully in late winter, early spring!)

    2. 14, turning 15 in December! :)

    3. I will be the big 50 in February. One of my younger co-workers seemed really surprised that I do BJDs.
It's truly a hobby any age can enjoy :)

    4. Hey there!! I just turned 31 this year, but, I fell in love with BJD when I was around 23 and in college. I had a friend in one of my art classes that used her 1/3 Resin Soul boys in a project. It was amazing. As soon as she walked into the room with him in her arms I was immediately not only curious but had this sense of ‘want’ in my heart. We started talking about him and I’ve been obsessed with them since then! I know I am well past that age but I do not own my first BJD yet. If you’ve read my introduction post on here you know why. Because of some health problems and things of that nature it just hasn’t been feasible until this point in my life.

Growing up my grandmother and my mother both owned and collected the “pretty” dolls. You know, the kind that sit in a glass case for everyone to see. I’m still trying to get them understand the concept of BJD but I am looking more and more forward to this hobby the closer I get to saving the amount I need for the doll of my dreams. She’s going to be a Christmas present for myself! As long a hobby makes you happy; it should make no matter!

I am sorry for may long post but my general moral is that age is just a number! Remember that! I am a 31 year old who still loves everything cute, unicorns, has everything Hello Kitty, and plans to play with a doll! :blush:kitty2

    5. I got my first doll in 2008, when I was 46. I'm now 57, almost 58, and after taking a break from dolls due to health issues, I'm getting back into playing with my Crew.

You're never too old to do what you love. :3nodding:

    6. As of this writing I will be 59 in 3 days. I have loved dolls my whole life--literally I cannot remember a time when I did not love dolls--in fact, one of my first memories is crying because I was given a doll that couldn't move its arms or legs. Even at three(ish) I was all about articulation...:D
