1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You (continued)

Mar 16, 2015

    1. It's funny you say that. Most of the time I come up with "Apples?...umm, gherkin??" For ALL math questions. :thumbup

    2. 18 in March ahaha. I got my first doll last May and my 2nd in August... and I ended up with a third that I got in a raffle at a con. I can't believe I got that lucky it's ridiculous. I'm really grateful for that and especially for my parents for supporting me in this and taking me to that con. They're kind of the raddest people.
Anyway... I've always liked dolls, but my gateway doll was Takara Jenny. In searching for those I eventually found Azones and then BJDs, but when I first discovered BJDs I only found Volks, and I was 14ish and not about to commit to something that expensive haha. Ok that was more info than was asked for... I'm so happy to be in the hobby though! It's an amazing creative outlet for me and I love just hanging out with my dolls too.

    3. I turned 18 in August :)

I ordered my first doll in late 2012, when I was 15- he later arrived in March 2013. Since then, my life's been in and out of dolls! So far, I've proven that this hobby isn't a "phase" for me, although it may feature low activity at certain points. It's also shown my family how responsible I can be with online spending.

    4. 20, turning 21 at the end of the month, and oddly enough, the process of discovering the hobby, deciding I liked it, researching sculpts and makers, purchasing my first doll, and continuing my research during the excruciating wait all happened throughout the year. It's like once I hit 20 I decided I needed another pricey hobby in my life.

    5. Im 19, almost 20!! >< But I discovered bjd when I was 12 in an anime! ^^
I currently own 3 dolls, but im thinking about selling one...

    6. I'm gonna be 20 in about a month and I got my first doll about two years ago? I think? I jumped right into it, too. I looked at a few sculpts and hopped on the BJD train almost immediately.

    7. I am 18 and got my first doll 2 months ago! I really love immersing myself in this hobby

    8. I'm 44. I have only recently started with bjds but have been a doll collector for many years, mainly Pippa and Blythe. Currently I have a Dollfactory Pet Ari Kiki, and Pukifee Zoe and a Realpuki Toki, with a Pukipuki Anti on order and am loving exploring the bjd world :)

    12. I'm 20 but I've been in this hobby for 7-8 years. I researched these dolls for years before I actually got one <3

    13. I am 22 and very new in this hobby. I don't really know if it's for me or not, I am waiting my first doll to arrive, but for what I am feeling now I love this world.

    16. I'm 15 and started in the hobby when I was 14, currently waiting for my Doll Chateau Carol to arrive :kitty2

    17. I'm 26 and I just started this hobby this year. I had heard about it a few years back when I discovered Dollfie Dreams on MyFigureCollection and I instantly fell in love. And now I'm the proud owner of three lovely little ladies. I'm looking to hopefully some day getting a RingDoll. I love their style.

    18. I'm 32, and have been in this hobby for exactly 10 years now. It's weird, but it looks like the longer I'm a part of this hobby, the more I'm drawn to old-school sculpts. Come to me, you Bobble-headed Beauties!

    19. I'm 18 and just got my first doll this month. I've honestly never really had anything that could be considered a "hobby" before, so this is all very new and exciting for me.

    20. Hi! I'm 19(20 in February) and I actually started collecting recently, as in like a year ago. I don't have a lot of dolls due to not having the funds...but I'm glad I did. I have a new girl on her way.
