1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You (continued)

Mar 16, 2015

    1. Congrats on your new girl! Who's your new lady? If you don't mind me asking. Also, very cute puppy! :)

    2. Thank you! My new girl is a resinsoul Mei in normal skin. Naomi is going to be her new name. I know that a bunch of people don't like resinsoul/bobobie but I have been looking into getting an elf eared girl for my character and just fell I'm love with the scuplt

    3. Well I think she's lovely! For my next girl I'd like to get either RingDoll's Little Red Ridding Hood or their Julia.

    4. I love ringdolls scuplts! I was thinking about getting one but I'm not sure yet. Might have to add that to my wish list

    5. Oh yay! It's nice that someone else on here likes them! I've been looking at several sculpts but for some reason I/m just really drawn back to RingDoll.

    6. Ha-ha yeah they just have a nice look to them. My sister thinks they have a "darker look" which I haven't seen in a lot of dolls

    7. Haha! She's right. But I don't thing all their dolls look dark. But, yes, their infamous line is a little on the dark side. I still love that look. Plus, it creates for neat characters. :)

    8. I'm 19 but I actually first started getting into BJDs when I was 11. I had always been into dolls and once I discovered them in a magazine it was like I wanted nothing else in the world but one of them. I got my first doll when I was 14 and my second when I was 16. Now that I'm an adult with a real job making actual money, the full extent of my doll hobby shall unleash itself. I'm planning my purchase of my third doll and I could easily get two or more within the next year. I'm excited!

    9. Definitely. I'm not really fond of their gore doll zombie Amy I think. What about you

    10. They did a really good job at the gore. She looks disgusting. Haha! But I'm not a fan of her either. It's a neat doll, but it's not for me. I do, however, really like their K doll. Like I'm still on the fence about male dolls, but I really like his sculpt.

    11. Oh yeah! I love ringdolls boys. I think their boys look so cool.

    12. Yeah, I'm still in the fence about male dolls but I would consider a RingDoll man. Maybe in the future. :)

Wow! I wish I had know about BJDs a lot sooner. I'm still fairly new to this but I have been doing a lot of research. :)

    13. I'm 19, I saved up and bought my first doll when I was 13/14. I can't remember exactly.

    14. I was around 14 when I fell in love with BJDs. However, I had no money at the time and now at 17 I can finally squeeze in some dollies. I've been into dolls since I was a child and I'm still into them.

    15. Just turned 20 in October! I think I got my first bjd (Hujoo Lily) when I was 17-18 i believe!

    16. I'm 21! I started in the hobby 5ish years ago and managed to accumulate 3 dolls and a floating head, but ended up selling them all as I was still young and jobless.

Now that I'm an adult with a steady income and a place of my own, I'm finally getting back into the hobby and I couldn't be more excited! :D

    17. Almost 30!

    18. I'm 27, and am only getting into resin BJDs now.
I'd been into smaller dolls (azone pure neemos) since 2012 but only really started to get into bigger ones in August this year after seeing Smart Dolls at SMASH - I did a lot of research on them, which lead me to doing research on Dollfie Dreams to see what was different, which then lead to research on other types of BJDs to see what was different about them...and after I went to my first meetup I had collected a whole load of company names to look up. Looks like I'll be here for a while, it's a pretty intense world.

    19. I'm 21 and started taking interest in BJDs when I was 19! Hoping to get my first doll soon!

    20. Normally, in response to this question, I smile and say "but what does it matter how many times the rock I'm standing on has carried me around the sun?" Because I usually end up as one of the youngest in these things.

I'm almost 18. Because of the price, I'd liked the idea of a BJD since I was probably ~15, but bought my first about two weeks after I turned 17. Having a job makes it easier to afford them.
