1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    2. Im 21, almost 22 and I'm currently waiting on a second hand purchase for my first BJD

    3. What I enjoy about seeing everyone here posting their ages is not only the wide variety of age ranges, but how long everyone's been in the hobby. It makes me hopeful that I won't grow tired of it after a year!

I'm 24, just ordered my first doll recently, and I'll be 25 in March!

    4. I am 27 :) I started to be interested in BJDs when I was 13 when my friend lender her doll of a week. It took me a while to decided to really get into hobby but I have been in it for the past year and a half.

    5. I'm 26 [almost 27 soon!] and I've been in the hobbby since early 2007 but I didn't officialy get my first doll till August 2008 [Dollzone Hid who I still have and still adore]
I'm not as active or social as I used to be [work really hinders my social life lol] but I'm thankful I have met and talked with so many worderful other BJD owners over the years~
      :)

    6. I'm 23. I got my first doll right after my 23rd birthday few months ago.

    7. I'm 18, and I got my first doll when I was 16! I've been into dolls since I was barely 15 though. :) It's nice to see that there are people 50+ and still interested in dolls! It gives me hope that I'll still be interested at that age too.

    8. I'm thirty four and have been in the hobby a lil over two years.

    9. I turn 15 in 2 months and will hopefully order my first doll after my birthday ! I constantly get anxiety about joining the hobby because i feel like im so much younger than everyone ! Does anyone feel like that ? ( for people who are around my age or anyone really )

    10. I'm 29, I'll be turning 30 in June. I've liked BJDs for probably over ten years now, but I only recently felt comfortable spending that amount of money so I just got my first doll and am saving up for the second XD

    11. I'm turning 15 this year in September and got my first doll at 13 in June last year! She was a Minifee Rin which has now moved on to another owner....xD I saved up myself.

    12. I am currently 27 and I have been collecting dolls since 2007 right after high school. My collecting habits seemed to have died the minute I moved into an apartment with my now fiancé 3 years back. My dolly group spent close to a year in a box as we got our lives settled. Now that we are planning a wedding, dolly buying will have to wait for a bit, I still find it fun to sew new clothes for my dollies and take them down and play with them here and there. Honestly, I don't think I will ever be too old for the doll hobby and I am perfectly ok admitting that :).

    13. I am 33 and have been in the hobby for arround 9 years... my first doll arrived on 2008 and I was loving other dolls few month before that.

    14. I'm going to be 25 in March and I've been in the hobby for quite a few years, I've just recently gotten new bjds in the past few months though. I hadn't been really active for a while but more recently picked it up again. I've got a brand new arrival coming monday too!

    15. I'm 31, I started collecting dolls about 8 years ago starting with pullip and i had my first bjd 1 year ago.

    16. I am 17 years old (turning 18 this year). I have been interested in BJDs for almost 6 years, but I have still no BJD, so I am looking for it now. I have started my hobby with Pullips and porcelain dolls little bit more than six years ago. (Pretty young, yeah..)

    17. It's been very comforting to read this thread and see I'm not the first nor only 30-year-old just now jumping on the bandwagon. (Well, technically I don't own any dolls yet but SOON.)

    18. I'm 16 and I'll be getting my first resin bjd pretty soon.

    19. I'm turning 21 in a month haha... I got my first doll 2 years ago at the end of January (the 28th) but she's off topic... What can I say ABS is way more affordable for a college student... My first on topic doll will be here in a few months though! Gotta pay off that layaway >:3

    20. I'm 22 and I *think* I got my first BJD when I was 17, so I've been collecting for *around* 5 years. I don't remember exactly, I first collected American Girl dolls, then Pullip, then BJD. I'm just not entirely sure when the transitions happened. :doh
