1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You (continued)

Mar 16, 2015

    1. I turned 23 back in November and only just really started purchasing BJDs. I've always loved dolls, but I probably only really started looking at these particular kinds of dolls a couple years ago

    2. I'm 37 - I started collecting dolls when I was just out of uni, which feels like an aeon ago! I took a break from the hobby for a while, but just started back. :)

    3. I am only 17! I have loved dolls since I as little. So it was only a matter of time before i moved on to a hobby this expensive :)

    4. I'm 23 and only got into the hobby about 1-2 years ago. I got my first bjd close after my birthday and I still love her.

    5. I'm just turned 28! I got my first doll last year, I'm also really new to the community. I'm pretty excited to expand, and I think being of the age and mindset that comes with time, handling the urges and desires to just get MORE can be managed better. At least that's my opinion, since it's already really hard not to spoil myself XD

    6. I recently turned 19. I've been collecting dolls my entire life, but have been into bjds for the past 2 years.

    7. Im 33, almost 34. Been a dolly fan most of my life

    8. I'll be 24 in April :)

    9. I am 20 and i am new in this hobby!

    10. I'm 20, turning 21 this fall. I bought my first BJD when I was 14 - I earned all the money for him myself doing summer jobs! :)

    11. I'm 24, and bought my first doll (which then turned into four within five months) when I was 22. I had taken notice of ABJDs a couple years before, but didn't think about actually getting one of my own until I started working full-time.

    12. I am 21, hoping to get a BJD sometime. I'm not sure how soon, but I hope the one I'm really pining for shows up somewhere secondhand. D; I've been very interested in them for years now, however!

    13. I'm...28 I think? I have to ask people to remind me because I never think it's important enough to remember. But I did just have a birthday recently so I'm pretty sure I'm 28. I'm new to the hobby as a collector but I've been a lurker for well over 10 years now. It's been a long long long time coming for me to jump into the hobby but better late than never!

    14. I'm 31. I feel a lot older.

    15. I'm 25, going to be 26! I first tried getting into BJD's a couple years ago, but never did much research or made the effort to get into the hobby. I'm actually really looking forward to getting into it now, because I feel like it's something I'll really stick with, instead of just sort of being very aggressively into it for a short period of time.

    16. I am 16 and will hopefully be able to order my first doll soon :dance

    17. I am 44. Seems to be fewer of us past 40 than I would have expected.

    18. Lol I'm 18 and a poor artist and college student. I don't have a doll, yet, but I'm saving up for one right now. I mainly got into them because I want to start doing face up. And it was kind of the same for me with starting with something else, except mine were monster high dolls rather than Blythe and then slid into BJDs.

    19. I am 57 and have been collecting BJDs for a couple of years. I have been collecting dolls in general for over forty years.

    20. Hahahhahahah - two things;
      1) Birdieburritto - I'm sad that I get no credit for corrupting your young mind with my resin family over the course of your lifetime!!

      2) I'm 41, head first in my resin sea..... my gateway doll was Barbie. From there I discovered the 27cm volks dolls (about 11 years ago now!!) which led me to where I am today. Most of the 27cm are packed up because my SD's and like sizes are free to roam my home. What I meant to only be one doll has, today, turned into 18 (because I bought my YoSd Megu last night)
