Huajing-Doll 1/4 Discussion

If anyone want comparison pictures between the old and new Huajing, I have three Huajing girls, two ver II and one ver III. For me, the differences seem fairly minimal, but they are nice. Improved torso sculpt, with some more detailing (such as back dimples), a more realistic chest. Smoother thigh joints. Her head has slightly more movement and it’s a cleaner sculpt, by which I mean she no longer has the finger webbing that my ver II girls both have.

 

Thank you both for your answers! I wondered if the ver 3 body permits the doll to sit with her knees to the chest?
And I would in general like very much to see the photos of that new small-chested torso, which is quite unique for msd girls I must say.
Also, have you seen the new Huajing boy? He is soooo cute, and he appeared the morning after I placed my order, ufff....

 

I gave it a go but no, she won't pull her knees up to her chest. She can sit really well, better than a lot of my msd dolls because she had properly shaped hip wells (So many bjds lean slightly backwards when sitting) but I can't figure out how a doll would be able to curl up like that anyway just because of how their hips and legs are sculpted....

she can however put her foot on her shoulder thanks to her mobility joint lol. I'm amused.

Knees are really nicely done with an invisible peanut while the arms have a long visible peanut which works fine but isn't quite as aesthetically pleasing. Chest allows quite a range of motion but gaps. Fine with clothing but i've never found chest joints to look very nice when they're pulled to their extremes. I don't like the shelf and gap they leave.

Head tilts nicely and can look down but can't really look UP.

Wrists need a ball on the end of them, as it stands they can't move much compared to my dolls that DO have the ball.
Ankles ARE on a ball and might point, if she wasn't so tightly strung lol.

When i get a chance i'll strip her off and take some photos but maybe also compare her to other dolls in similar price ranges so that'd be uh... Doll Leaves? Myou is a bit more expensive but their body shape is similar.

I'll see what I have in easy grabbing and stripping distance lol.

Also ooo new boy! they're sneaky with their releases aren't they? I wish they had blank sculpt images, I refuse to buy a doll unless I can see their sculpt blank. but it looks like we've now got a type 2 boy body, is that also new? It looks a lot like the new girl body, has a little curve to the hip. Quite nicely androgynous actually. I like it. Same joint system too, which means the arms and knees will work the same way.

I got my first Huajing doll some days ago (It took just 2 months to arrive, this was really fast!).

I was very surprised by the quality of the doll and the default faceup, I love her very much even if she is waiting for her wig
I have preordered today another Huajing girl which will become her sister.

 

Has anyone else noticed the new v 4 girl body? It looks really good, and... at that price? Please

Also noticed a light tan option now on acbjd that I dont remember seeing before... does anyone have any reference pics for what it looks like?

Two new heads as well. Locke and Bella. Locke is cute, nice to see another boy. I love his massive ears lol.

I'd love to see blank head sculpts though, so i'll have to do some searching to see if anywhere has those. Huajing sadly aren't great at showing their sculpts blank.

 

Their tan is a lovely shade, this is my tan Nanxi on a version 3 girl body. The tan is paler than Fairyland’s, with a nice warm undertone.

 

I agree! I wish they did show their blanks cuz its hard for me to picture what they look like under the makeup

 

They have blank photos for some of them on the Dolk site. It’s possible Alice’s Collections might be able to ask Huajing for one if there was a particular sculpt you were interested in.

 

ooh good to know I will check it out... I generally like all the company face ups but I'm curious still what they look like blank. just to see the potential and get some ideas lol

Ohh the tan looks nice, now I'm regretting ordering NS a bit (but I am hybriding so maybe a smart call)
