@strawberry_parade lol went ahead and ordered him anyway. He's pretty much perfect for a character I've been wanting to shell for 2 years now, though he might be a cm or 2 short (why I wanted to see him next to other dolls). The lips were bothering me too, but later realized that it was the faceup (so many boy dolls put me off with the weird way they paint lips )

Amusingly, the post literally right above yours has the link to the weibo video. I have no idea how weibo actually works but you can click that and view the video easily enough even if you (like me) cannot read a word of what's going on.

 

@Mew-Lidia9 their weibo is here: 微博 (I find them for different companies by literally googling "weibo company name") it's pretty much just a regular blog except sometimes you get pop-up telling you to register, usually clicking outside of it or hitting back on the page gets rid of it. Clicking on a specific post opens it separately, that's how you get links to them if needed.

Looks like Huajing is coming out with a new boy and potentially a new boy body? For a moment I thought it was the uncle body but it does look a bit different and it's labeled as 大四男 which is different from the 1/4 uncle term. You can look on their weibo here!

 

I guess it's to match the slightly more mature female ver 4 body? I like that it's a little bit leaner but it's hilarious to me how it has a sixpack but not a lot of back muscles

Edit: oh, seems like it'll come with magnetic JJ parts as well haha

Yeah I thought the six pack was a little silly especially when everything else isn’t really defined but I do love that there’s going to be a new boy body to match more with the girl ver 4 body!

 

I wish they speedran the orders with the same enthusiasm

 

Yeah I’m hoping all the new stuff isn’t causing delays too. Wouldn’t want them to bite off more than they can chew!

That said I do agree w y'all that I hope they aren't prioritizing pushing out new sculpts over orders... :/

 

Looks like the new boy will be on sale from tomorrow - with a free pair of hands for the first 30 orders, at least through Taobao. They also did a comparison between the old/new/uncle body here, if anyone is interested (scroll down for comparison).

 

So happy to see some comparison photos! The uncle body looks quite good next to the other two, not too out of place/proportions at all, which is good because I was a bit worried about how he might look compared to my other msd dolls. I love the new boy's face, very cute, though I probably won't get him unless they have a head-only option.

 

Good news this morning - my ver 4 body finally shipped! It took exactly 4 months in total (to the day!) which is more than I expected but is still in line with the tail end delivery time listed for the body (which is somehow more than it lists for full dolls? Confusion).

I also noticed the new boy is up on Legenddoll, I guess it'll be a day or two until it appears on ACBJD as well.

 

My girl finally got a faceup. It's only been what, like 6 months? lol.

 

Alice's Collections now has the new heroic body separately or with a head, Karios. I ordered the doll.

 

do we have a blank sculpt image for the new boy? I was looking earlier today and couldn't find one and I refuse to buy dolls without a blank sculpt image.

that body is nice looking, though I will say he has quite feminine hips. I kinda dig it.
