Huajing-Doll 1/4 Discussion

Thanks for sharing! The posing looks similar to the V4 girl body, I hope she's as good with all those leaning and fairy poses

 

Man Huajing are just knocking it outta the park with their bodies.
The only way they could tempt me harder would be if they offered a few more resin colours lol.

The two new boy bodies look SO GOOD.

 

Now let's just hope they look as good in person as they do in the pictures.

 

My v4 body came today! It works really well for what I bought it for and it's a sturdy piece of resin alright - I'm quite surprised by how hefty it feels! If anyone wants to see photos of anything specific let me know! A box opening with some pics of the body is here.

To answer some questions that I had before I got to handle the body (which maybe someone finds useful to know in advance).
- knees are double joined but she can't really sit on the knees and will do a hover-butt kind of thing like a minifee. I don't really mind but I know some people find the pose important - the fairy body seems to be better in this area from what I saw on their weibo. All other joints have a decent range and she holds poses really well, though - I don't feel the need to suede or enhance anything out of the box which is always nice.

- I was sort of hoping the body would have a hand- and foot-changing system like their mini uncle body seems to have (kind of a one-touch-system like thing). It does not, just normal round channels in the wrists and ankles... I guess some of their bodies are more "budget" than the others.

- does it look like the pictures? yes it does! the abdomen has a lot of sculpted detail so it's not just the blushing that did the heavy lifting on the company pics. Overall, the body looks a lot more mature than the previous versions and the chest sculpting looks more natural.

Currently i waiting for Skadi (from December). (I just cant stop liking Huajiing sculpt, so when i saw promotion, i bought her from acbjd this time and this was spontaneus)
Alice-s store sometimes slow in options. They sometimes not include every options by factory . So you need to ask about them if you saw them elsewhere. (for example i asked about body blush and changing face-up. Alice update faceup option only today.)

I see v4 body are way more mature. Mine Ashley has v3 and well she looks like teenager by proportions.

 

Congratulations on your purchase I hope you can have your lovely girl soon. Where did you see the more updated status of Huajing-Doll? I know Alice's collection doesn't include all the options in her catalog but I always trust buying from them, it's just a matter of asking them about stuff, but I would like to know where are all the options from Huajing-Doll since I like their sculpts very much

 

When I was first looking into the huajing ver 4 body, I was comparing the listings on alice's, new clover singing, and legend doll. I would say that Legend Doll seems to most accurately list all the options regarding skin tones and faceup options (they show two options for Skadi) as well as the addition of heel parts. And there's also their taobao store if you can access that.

It's Lunar New Year sale for Chinese BJD creators, I am thinking of finally buying Huajing Kamiya right now. I am planning to order via Taobao but it would be my first time doing so. Does anyone know how long they usually take to ship the doll you ordered and the cost of shipping to Australia?

 

I'm not sure about shipping time, but you could check the waiting room to get an idea of what their times have been lately, or the specific cost to Australia, but when I've ordered things through taobao, shipping has always been based on the dimensions and weight of the package, and for me in the US, I've generally paid at least $30-50 USD shipping, even for relatively small packages.

 

I've only ever bought from taobao using proxy services so pricing might be a bit different, but for an order I placed that included both a msd size bjd body and a vinyl one, the shipping was at first quoted to be around $90 USD but ended up being around $60 USD.

 

I’m starting to get excited about the idea that maybe the fairy girls will be flying home soon? I ordered them early November and the turnaround seems to be 4 months, so maybe March! I’m so curious to see them in person and to pose the wings!

Yes I’ll do a full unboxing post over in the gallery! The bodies look so well made in the video so I’m crossing my fingers they were accurate to the real product!

I saw that option on legenddoll (well, i do research after purchased Skadi on acbjd, i use both dealers for years)

 

I just received an update that my Violetta has shipped! WIth no faceup or wings, for reference. I don't know if those options would have taken longer. I hope yours ship soon!

 

I also received an update that my Emilia has shipped! I ordered her in October (no faceup or special parts), so it took around 5 months.

 

Oh wow, 5 months? Looks like the company has slowed down even more, I hope they manage to catch up! I also hope everyone gets their fairies soon!
