"I'll never own more than one or two dolls"... Now I own three full dolls, one floating head and one body is one its way. And tbh I'll probably sell my DD in the near future since I've noticed that I actually prefer resin over vinyl dolls - never ever thought that I'd even think about selling her!

 

"I'll never make bad financial decisions for dolls" - WHOOPS, hooboy, not doing it again but it was a mistake worth making once and one hell of a deal, even if I'm a bit broke now

"Buy a doll on layaway when I don't have enough savings."

Got a list...

"I will never buy more then one doll" just got a shock I already own 8 dolls (well including one head on a tree strunk and one body...but geuss that makes 1 doll together...) and got 3 heads and a body comming my way....

then when I broke that rule, "I will never buy another doll or head before I finished one". *glanses at 3 unfinished dolls that are waiting for face ups..face redos, tattoos, clothing and body blushings*

Aaand "I will sew all the clothing myself" so far made only two small dresses and got a whole chest (small child could fit in chest, just to illustrate how much it is) of fabric.
"Never buy a wig thats over 50 dollar". Just payed for a wig for a prize I would pay for my own hair that exceeded the 100+ and now I'm starring in the mirror contemplaiting my sanity and life choices...(in my defense its the only doll wig that looks a little like my curly mess I have on my head)

"Buy a doll body without a head" Did it two times, one a really good deal on fairyland sd body, which has been collecting dust for years...and another a kid souldoll body, also a verygood deal on it however she was ns and I like my dolls ws so I sold her pretty quick (and yes...yessss I regret it now...ow how I could have used it rn).

"Buy sd sized dolls". well that went out the window aswell.

 

I told myself that I will never buy a BJD.

But I did.

 

I will never buy another doll, this one is enough! Yeah, no... I now have 17 :/
And then just earlier this year after I bought my S&P bird came the "I will not buy any more dolls this year." Thanks, IOS, for releasing Koo. You've single handedly ruined my finance plans as I'm seriously debating on buying one, possibly two. I mean, they're offered in different colors and they're cats...

 

I said I would never be one of those people who own a bunch of minifees... jokes on me I guess? Most of them are going to be hybrids, which is another thing I said I'd never do

 

I purchased a body from a company that I had purchased from before. I was so disappointed by the body at that time and promised myself that I will never order from them again Finally when the company had a bid sales, I purchased something again. I am so weak against sales in this hobby.

 

I never thought Id wipe the company faceup off my iplehouse doll, but eventually I got confident enough to redo it and it was so worth it 0w0 am so glad i waited tho

 

i will never buy any other doll until i get my grail next year.. ended up getting a bluefairy girl because she was sold at such good price..

 

"I will never buy more then one doll." I've said it many times. But now I'm close to breaking this rule.

 

Buy a Yo-SD. I originally only self-limited myself to two "big" companion dolls (one boy and one girl preferably in the MSD size) and a bunch of 1/8th scale tinies in order to fit my Re-ment and Calico Critter sets. Turns out Yo-SDs (or at least Fairyland's Littlefees) can actually fit to scale with Re-ment props and all this time I thought they were too big and so I would never own that size cause I would have nothing to do with it!


Now I have a LTF Ante on the way as part of my b-day present this year thanks to someone on this very site showing me a pic of how they fit with Re-ments, lol!

 

I will never spend over 1k $ on a doll and then Fairyline60 Scarlett happened. This year I had a strict 'just-one-doll' policy and then my best friend showed me a Dust of Dolls Cöta and thus I broke my policy, because I already promised myself to a Cocoondolls Aamu ...

 

I never thought i would have a doll at all. Then i discovered BJDs and how gorgeous they are. I just got the shipping notice for my first a few days ago. Who knows what else I will "never do"

 

I managed to break two of my 'nevers' with a single doll...
-I will never get a 65-70cm other than MAYBE Dollzone Raymond
-I will never get a floating head

Then I saw that Akagi Doll Ban's head was on sale for $25 and couldn't help myself.

 

I'm usually pretty good about sticking to my 'nevers'. That said, there are a couple I have broken.

"I will never have more than X dolls" - One I think many of us can relate to. I've gotten so I've just thrown this rule away.

"I will never buy a doll I don't already have a character for" - My Dollshe Saint's character was created during the wait for him to ship (and he's turned out to be one of my favorites!)

"I will never own a bjd that exists outside of my storyline" - I won a Dollshe Bubblepet Molly, and honestly, I'm not going to turn down a free doll. I'm going to paint her to look like my real cat.

 

I will never have more than one doll. I just bought my second. The first isn't even here yet. I think they'll actually be arriving around the same time. No regrets!

 

I will never buy a childish YOSD anthro doll!
