If you could have a doll in any color resin

Dec 2, 2016

    1. I reckon metallic colours would be amazing! Silver or maybe a metallic pink! Duo-chrome colours would be even cooler again! :D In lieu of any of those, resin with really fine glitter that came to the same effect would be great~

    2. I have 2 handcast Clever Littles by Batchix that have superfine glitter in their resin. It's very difficult to photograph the effect, but it is noticeable in person. Prasiolite is seafoam green with silver glitter and Rhodolite is light purple with purple-blue glitter. It's most noticeable in strong light, especially sunlight. She also did one of her 51cm boys with glitter in his resin, but he was also cast by her and is a one-off like my guys are.

    3. I have a character that's a really specific color of pink...over his whole body (and his hair). I'd love some sparkles built into his resin as well in certain places just for some interest! (He also has four arms, so...he'd be quite a project.) I also have a gecko character that's a specific green with red/orange stripes and a blue belly; it'd be super cool to have those colors actually in the resin, though it definitely sounds like more of a painting kind of project.

    4. Id like to see a olive/moss green doll or a greyblue one. Preferably a sd elf or fawn :)

    5. Transparent with iridescent glitter! Especially the arms and legs, as I'm not sure about the head being so sparkly, lol.

    6. I always love normal skin...All of my dolls are normal skin. But seeing a brown skin is also good :love

    7. A very rich lavender, which I have found in my Soom light violet girl :aheartbea and super rich dark tans.
I think very sparkly resin would be super cool, though I'm not sure I'd own a doll in it?
Agree with the comment about a gradient! That would be so cool. Like an ombre look or even a swirl.

    8. I'd truly love a doll in a pitch black doll. I don't even have a character or an idea to go with it - I just saw a few dolls which were purely black and I loved the idea so much. Probably going to be hard blushing it, though.

    9. Perhaps a doll in a dark tan with a black gradient at their finger tips and toes, otherwise nothing of that kind. I love seeing them, but after owning a gray-skinned doll, I can say that fantasy colours are not for me.

    10. Bright yellow! Oh wait . . .I already have a lot of those;). Joking aside I would love a yellow or lavender centaur doll to mod into one of John Varley's " titanides" (most of the members here are probably too young and not nerdy enough to have read his sci-fi trilogy from the early eighties though)

    11. might be dark blue with a glitter and grey colored dolls ^^

    12. Soom did a doll in brick red some time ago that was a deep rich color. I'd love to have a doll a color like that.

    13. I absolutely adore fantasy colors, especially on non-fantasy sculpts! I've got a handful of grey, and a translucent blue, among the girls in my collection. But I hope that someday I can find a doll with red resin that ombrés to burgundy at the hands and feet. I've always been partial to red, and it doesn't appear that often for non-fantasy sculpts.

    14. I would LOVE to have a pastel lavender doll. Or a translucent creamy color with golden sparkles inside. Fantasy skin colors are everything :chibi

    15. For one of my characters I really want a white skin with the tiniest hint of a strong blue, but not like a strong blue. So light it's almost undetectable. I guess that can probably be achieved with just white and some body blushing, but it'd still be neat.

    16. These are skin colors that I really like, but it would hard for me to reshell them into different characters(which I do very often), so it'd feel too limiting to buy them .

If I could have any skin colors other than normal skin tone ranges, I'd want a: Mint, lavender, strawberry pink, glitter white, glitter sky blue, metallic pink, metallic silver, and metallic gold.

I'm being so greedy, but it is a wish list :apirate:.

    17. Black opal. :D Translucent very very dark blue (or brown) base color, with multi-color, iridescent glitter cast in.

... or fire opal - same inclusions, but translucent red base color. Or white opal, with a milky white, or very faintly yellow or pink, base color.

    18. A purple gradient would be awesome!

    19. I have two fantastical characters that I'd like to shell as dolls someday. One has skin like bone-white pearl. The other is dark like hematite. Both of them are slightly iridescent. So I'd love to find pale cream and dark grey resins with a subtle gemstone shimmer.

    20. Have any of y'all ever seen the Blue Tsarevich Constellation Egg? It was to be part of the famous Faberge eggs that Tsarinas Maria and Alexandria Feodorovna received during Tsar Nicholas II's reign, but after the October Revolution the egg was left unfinished. It was to be a lovely egg though, made of this lovely shade of deep blue glass with a base of rock crystal and a sprinkling of the jewels that were commonplace on Faberge eggs. What caught my eye though was that blue glass; blue is my second favorite color after green, and I hold a special fondness for dark blue. I'd love to see a resin in that shade of blue, darker than cobalt but not quite royal blue, and translucent like the glass. I know there are blue ball-jointed dolls out there, but none of them are that lovely shade of deep blue, translucent or otherwise. That would be my dream color.
