If you could have any BJD, which would it be?

If I could afford it, an Iplehouse EID Chase in their Light Brown glow skin color... If it wasn't for that gawd awful extra price I would already have one (maybe once my mortgage is paid-off?)

 

Probably my grail: Volks DD Saber Lily. She's just to expensive now (like $2500 to $3500). I could never imagine myself paying that much for a single doll, so likely the only way I'd ever get her is if Volks does a re-release. ^^;

 

I'm just really curious, could you tell me about this lost doll?

Those old rare bjd dolls. Not the composite types but actual original German or Dutch made bjd with ball joints. Lost in El Salvador years ago and it's gone like the rest of my mother's stuff. I love bjd but I doubt I will ever see that doll again. She lost a whole lot of her treasures. Even an antique Spanish guitar. I can't really share more information like names and locations or time of events. I believe it's gone and I would have to explain a whole lot of personal information if I wanted serious help. It's just a doll at the end of the day so I will accept that it is gone. I am a very private person so I wouldn't get help anyway.

 

I understand..and I would not ask for personal information. I was simply curious as to what sort of doll it was. I am sorry that your mother lost her treasures. That is heartbreaking. You never know, though. The world is getting smaller all the time. Perhaps, someday you will find a beautiful doll to give your mother. It cannot take the place of the one she lost. But it would show her that you love her, and you remember.

My mother's family are German, but unfortunately they have no dolls: They are Pennsylvania Dutch. It was very nice to meet you. I hope we can talk again sometime.

 

Personally I would have loved to grab the Luts Kid Delf Poseidon - The Breath of Life doll! At the time he was one of my first and only MSD dolls that I really liked; too bad he was so extremely limited.

 

I really want a minifee soony head with a cutie bust and cutie legs with the #4 or #3 hands.

 

Has anybody ever made their own head for a BJD? I bet there're some real artists out there.

 

Definitely Soom's Midnight Whisperer Amber, hopefully he'll be available through a tawny free choice at some point. A second one would be Switch's Seowo in mocha brown. I'm so so sad I didn't get back into BJD's until the start of this month, completely missing him. Hopefully I'll be able to find him some day

I would love (oh, dream the impossible dream!) to have a doll made by Ryo Yoshida. Barring that, the Ringdoll Dracula with the white locks. Oh, lovelyjubblies.

 

A Marina Bychova China bjd, or the resin SD one, a Tatyana Trifonva Sphinx Cat, a Popovy Sisters bjd ( this one is doable and maybe this summer or early fall) and a Soom Warrior Lady Alex-maybe secondhand.

 

Anything by Twigling or Lillycat! I love their unusual face and body styles sooooooo so so so so much, but both are just outside of the realm of affordable for me at this time. Gotta pay daycare/mortgage/car/insurance/etcetcetc ;___;

 

There are way too many for me to count! But I suppose at the moment my no.1 is @raccoondoll 's Daisy, or Soom Taco.
