Illusion Spirit Discussion thread

All I can offer is a Baitu, 62cm IS head on a 70cm body. I am getting my boy in tomorrow, so I can take photos of it. ^^ It is a.. sorta experiment that I HOPE works out. XD I will let you know if it will work well.

 

Never mind. I found a Doll in Mind Minimee head that will work very well for my character and has the same neck circumference as the Morse doll. From the photos it looks like the skin tone will be okay... we'll see when it arrives.

 

Hope that works out for you! You might have to modify the neck cavity, but it'll be interesting to see if the head is proportional to the body in other aspects.

 

It is not a perfect match, but I rather like the look of it. XD Plus with the hair it hides it well enough for me. Baitu's head was too perfect not to get for the character, but 61cm would not cut it for me. @_@ It was a risk, but I like it.

 

AjiAji - Ohh he's so pretty! Would you mind posting a few side shots of him?? I've been thinking about getting myself a BaiTu but I can't seem to find anymore owner pix of him.

 

I do not have any side views at the moment, but tomorrow, or Wednesday I will try to get some shots. For now I will show you the blank head and with his faceup. (I was going for a slightly dirty faceup this time. >w< I think it suits the character.)

Side note. I noticed that most of the 70cm dolls seem to have basically the same proportion looks. owo So I am not bothered by mine at all. He is too perfect for the character like his is.

 

I thinking of getting an Illusion Spirt Muka and have a few questions. Which body do you recommend? How well does their pink skin match Luts? And how well do they pose? I would really appreciate any feedback you can give me.

 

As far as bodies go, I would personally go with the NEW generation body. The one with only the top joint. While the first generation new body has the bottom joint with the notches, it really does not do anything for posing. Just kind of gets in the way and pops out whenever it pleases. @_@ I do not have either, sadly, I have the OLD first generation body. Which I have shown what mine are/do.

I have a new pink, and an old pink IS and a recent LUTS normal skin body: http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b371/Akiko_Neko/IS Pink LUTSNormal/ The little boy in his lap has a a new pink body, but an old pink head. The head looks more yellowed and possibly could match - his head was not taken out at all, except when I did the faceup. The larger body with the Luts body is closer in color than the new, but like I said it is an old Pink body, and it HAS yellowed some.

Xellos said that Normal Yellow skin from IS matches pretty well with Luts if you are wanting to do some sort of Hybrid.

AjiAji, thanks for the information and the photos-they've been very helpful. I have a Luts floating head in real skin normal, and was wondering if they could share a body(my other SD dolls have white and yellow skin).

 

Yeah. I would imagine that the normal yellow would be a good match because of how yellow/creamy the Luts skin tone is. I have noticed that Illusion Spirit has been making their pinks very pink lately - as one of my friends has a new pink girl and she is VERY different from my boys. @_@ But lovely all the same.

Soooo. I am kind of freaking out. I decided that I am a bit uncomfortable with the way the Baitu head looks on the 70cm body.. so I was going to MoC to look for heads for its correct size... Only to find IS does not offer JUST HEADS anymore. @_@!!! I confirmed it with Jeeryama, and she said it was true. I am going to give a plea to her that hopefully she will pass on to them and HOPEFULLY they will take pity on me and give me it just this once... but I am not holding my breath.

So I am wondering from everyone here.. Do you have a Tan IS that you can possible, hopefully, compare to another Tan doll from a different company that offers JUST HEADS?

This is my IS Gino (on the AOD body). His name is Alex. He's an albino (but not red-eyed and snow white-haired, I wanted him to look natural).

 

Oh wow!! He looks absolutely lovely!! I love his faceup with his lovely blond lashes~!

--side note. Jeeryama says Dikadoll Tan matches Illusion Spirit Tan. Here is for hoping. @_@

 

Thank you) I like his faceup now too, I think, it's the best faceup I ever made. But I need to repaint it, it has "holes" on the nose, because of wearing glasses. Hope the next one won't be too bad

 

Yeah. I have that issue too. Where I do a faceup, like it for like five seconds and then freak out because I missed something, or I want to change it. XD; Whoops.
