I def think I'll go with this hybrid as I'm not too concerned on head movement (if it does bother me I might mod in the future) also good to see the difference between the resin colours too! I'm gonna have to dye a body to match the tawny resin now I know what I'm getting with my next paycheck lol
I have been on a little hiatus - how is everyone? Back in April 2023 I ordered this adorable outfit by Tirin & Katten from the iMda Dorothy rerelease. It stayed in my doll supplies drawer until today. Simonne ended up being the one to wear it and I think it suits her perfectly
Ah, lookit her pouty little face! And those ears are so cute, somehow the raw/rustic edges just make them that much more adorable. I'm trying to talk myself into buying a beautiful dress (for Leonie for now, but it would be going to her future sister) but it's kinda pricey and I'm a little worried that it might not fit... Long shot, but does anyone happen to own any clothes by Emily's Doll Fashion?
Judith's pages are up! She really looks like an updated Amellia with a little bit of Angelique thrown in. The option for a closed or open mouth is really intriguing. If I had to choose between Amellia or Judith, I'd probably pick Judith, but since I already have my Amellia, I don't think I'm going to get Judith... Unless I just grab a head?
Anyone thinking of getting Coco? Or her limited items? I'm really tempted by a head and the dress but I know I set my heart on a choco Elodie (which, knowing my luck, will be available in tawny only...) Also I bought a 1.7 girl for ease of travel, which Leonie promptly appropriated as HER doll, thank you very much.
I had a think about Coco but am really still totally in love with my Nicole still so will stick with her. The outfit is interesting but I really don't like the central lilly of the valley emblem patch on the front of the bodice and spoils it a bit for me.
Oh gosh, same! That patch is the reason I didn't immediately jump on it, and every time I look at it, I love the under-dress and bodice and get to the patch and go ...eeeehhh... I actually picked out either Coco or Elodie for my next doll, the only reason I ended up swinging to Elodie was because she can take 18mm eyes. I have a pair of custom-made eyes I bought for a character from Mr. Mystic in like 2013 that I reaaallly want to fit to a doll...
Anyone with a 3.0 Elodie who can tell me if her head is smaller or bigger than the other 3.0 girls? I usually buy 8-9 wigs for my Amellia (they're a little big, but I like the way they sit and fit over a silicone wig cap). Her current one is a 7-8 because I was suggested to try that size instead and IMO it's just too tight over a wig cap. I was gonna pre-buy a wig for Elodie but I don't know if I should get a 7-8 or an 8-9...
Did anyone order the new cute Mia? I was seriously tempted because he (!) would've been perfect for a character of mine, but I had just gotten a nice camera to take photos of my dolls, so I think I will have to get him on the next go-around. Meanwhile, here's another photo of Leonie...
