Does anybody have any of the Idol guy heads on a different body? I really want to get a new body for my Chad since I just can't seem to get any of the Impldoll bodies to work out for me. I'd love to find something that's a similar height but a bit less bulky!

 

@chalyss has helped me with placing an Impldoll Chad on various bodies. Chalyss, do you still have your Chad to help @witch-hammer ?

@witch-hammer Which version of Chad did you get, btw? I have the Beast version myself! Because the beast version has a large head and long ears, the broad shoulders are important. Nartower shoulders might make him look bobble headed, unless you don't mind that. For reference, Impldoll Idol bodies have 19cm shoulders. I think you might be able to get away with going down to 17cm.

The neck part is also important. You will need around a 12.5cm neck. A 12cm might also work... If the neck is too narrow, the head may appear too large. If you don't mind that, you should be able to solve any posing issues by filling in the neck hole with epoxy, hot glue sueding, or a silicone kip.

 

Funny, I only have Impldoll boy bodies at the moment. I have FGB and Star . However, I have on order a Resinsoul 72cm body which I hope will get here in a month or so. I'd be happy to try an Impl head on that when it gets here? In case you're interested, my Dylan is normally on the Idol body but I have him on the Star, which is still buff, but indeed smaller than the Idol in every way. (IE clothing as well as shorter)

@IngieBee "Swagger juice" has now entered my lexicon forever. I want to see your incoming resinsoul body against the FGB. I was always curious about their largest boys and how they'd compare.

 

Sadly I have to leave town this weekend for at least a week, so it'll be a while. It's supposed to arrive Monday (my family is still home so they'll be here no problem) and he'll be unassembled. So yah, no pics till I get back I'll be asking my daughter to unpack and check that all is OK, but she won't try assembling it, LOL. I love Dante but don't tell him for goodness sake!

 

Question,I'm looking at shoes for my Implstar boy and the site says 8.2 for the foot, meaning if the shoes I'm looking at are 8.5 they should fit right? I've got a few pairs I'm looking at on Etsy and I don't want to buy them and have them not fit

 

Popping in here to add an answer to @witch-hammer 's question. One of the people in the local community was able to put an Impldoll Martin on an Angell-Studio body (not sure what specific body, but it's definitely one of the bigger ones). I also finally got myself an update on the Impl jointed hands I ordered late October last year. ACBJD informed me that Impl needs one more month on it, hopefully the timeline holds! Apparently, the Doll Legend hands I got for Adhara was already there, and it's Impl holding up the order.

 

Ooh, share the link please But yes, my personal measurements, I wrote down as 8.5. As long as the stated 8.5 measurement is for the interior of the shoe it should be good in my experience??!!

@AntarelNefertili , Do give your opinion on those hands when you get them, I like them but don't know what others would think

 

@Madwren I hear you on the shoes, though. I've been half temper to sand down the heel of my doll's foot to fit more pairs of shoes XD

If your doll's foot measures 8.2cm, then an 8.5cm shoe might fit, though it would be tight. You'd also have to consider the toe shape. If the foot is 8.5cm, however, then the shoe would be too small.

 

@Silver_Unicorn297 I was actually considering getting spare feet for my Idolman for modding, for that exact same purpose where shoes are concerned. XD I'll admit that the Idolman FGB's feet are quite sexy-looking (well, compared to my flat-foot LoongSoul), but they're a pain to find shoes for!

@IngieBee It was your doll that made me decide on the Doll Legend ones, haha! At this point I could hardly care about the resin match since Impl has already brought me on a crazy ride where RealSkin was concerned, so it's the proportions I'm after.

Two certain dolls finally got their complementary robes, yaaaaay. A rather funny learning experience on the black underrobe he's wearing: I was pre-washing the cloth for sewing, and I made the stupid mistake of using powdered laundry detergent on cold water. You can imagine my horror when it dried and there were white streaks all over, which was made even more obvious because it was black. I ended up having to re-wash the cloth twice just so it won't look like he had an accident. (Cue Adhara snickering from the side.)

Thank you @IngieBee! Most of my dolls seem to have the same color palette these days, but I guess that means they've finally settled into their style. Congratulations on having the package home, tho! If it's from the MP, at least you didn't have to go through the awful wait times these days.

@A Wee Tiefling Adhuoren, lol! I use GuorenDhara in my head whenever I ship those two, but your mashup is easier on the tongue. :P For more sensual mashups, here's another that's different. I hardly post Okuni here because she's not an Impl, but she's with Implhybrid Adhara in the pic, so it counts! In their three-way relationship, it's easy to assume Guoren was what brought everyone together, but nooooo it's actually Adhara.
