1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

IMPL dolls Star, Model and Idol Discussion thread 15

Dec 23, 2020

    1. for someone who doesn't want to go through the process of trying to resin-match, are there any tan resins that match impl's brown decently and have a body 60cm or under that will fit a Star head? also I get so confused at their resin colour names because I swear they changed them since I ordered my Iris last year. Is their "anti-UV brown" the lighter tan that I've seen on more recent dolls? and whats labelled as "Tanned" is their dark tan?? All I want is a Zona head with faceup in a lighter tan and a shorter SD body that will fit >_< so many puzzle peices!

    2. Talked to my friend and she can say that at the very least the EID sweat pants she has fit it for sure. She can not recall 100% if his other pants that fit are EID or not, as like me she has many dolls and they tend to share outfits.

    3. I can’t help at all on the resin matching—impl’s resin colours have been a little inconsistent, so I’m not sure what matches to what. With that in mind, I know a couple bodies that come on tan and might fit (based on just the measurements—I can’t guarantee anything!) if we’re looking for a neck/shoulders similar to her original body 9cm/13cm but shorter we have

-supia ballerina body (60-61cm) that comes in a couple of nice tans
-DF-H has their 1/3 girl body II (58cm)—I don’t know what their tan looks like though.

these bodies are both a touch smaller in the shoulder (12 versus 13) but they look like they could work!

    4. Thank you so much for checking!! And thank her for me as well! This at least gives me a jumping off point, and I am very grateful!

    5. Cool, thanks so much! I'll message asap

    6. Got my Candice more accessories and a wig that I think suits her! She's not done being jeweled up yet, but I love her. She definitely needs more hair accessories.

    7. thanks for the info, I've been hearing impl's resins have been changed around a lot, oof. at this rate I may just end up getting her with the normal star body even though it's too tall for my liking, just for convenience's sake :vein maybe I'll find the perfect body in a matching colour someday, and then I'll sell her OG body, but till then I hope the star body can fit the smart doll/dollfie dream sized clothes I have lol

    8. I like her shiny gold nails a lot!

    9. @Thymeseer Ooooooh love the bling and the nails! Have you considered giving her some gold-themed tattoos too? (Although then again, it might just rub off at the joints, so that may not be good in the long run!)

@SteamWitch I really admire your pub setup! I'm sure my dolls (those of legal drinking age, at least) would love to drop by if they could.

This recent photo of Adhara was inspired by Disney's Encanto. I was a bit on tenterhooks the entire time because she was holding the metal-and-glass mini lamp with its battery-powered fake candle without any supports. It was a touch too heavy for a doll, but somehow, Impldoll's arm joints held, and so did Doll Legend's jointed fingers.

    10. That's some impressive joint engineering! And a lovely photo, as always ;)

    11. So I ordered a real skin Marlon head with faceup and eyes. Not sure if he’ll be a boy or a girl. Any idea on how long before shipping? I figure the faceup will slow things down. Anyone else order a Marlon? This is my first direct Impldoll purchase.

    12. As long as Impldoll does not forget Your order, it should be more or less fast.

Oh. And they are having Chinese new year soon. So add two weeks of Holidays to Your waiting time. Covid Omicron might hit everyone hard soon, too. So it might take longer.

My advice, remind about Yourself in two months. To be sure.

    13. Thanks @Swampruler I will do that for sure. Exactly what I wanted, when to make contact with them!

    14. @Brytewolf

I can second that most loose fitting EID and larger Granado clothing will fit. I also have homemade pants for my Idol man.

It's exciting to see people getting new dolls. I missed so many messages here! Fingers crossed that people affected by delays get their resinbaybees home soon

    15. Remember my problematic short-shoulder MGB? It's finally home from the faceup artist/modder's, and I've detailed the perma-shrug removal efforts in a separate post. The doll using said Impldoll body is actually a SartoriaJ Yvonne, whose character is Adhara's eldest daughter (shown here with her younger twin bro -- not identicals, obviously!).

The head is a little big on the body (at least for my personal tastes), and I needed to make a neck adapter for her so her head won't sit so low on the neck. But you can hardly notice the proportion issues when she has clothes on, so I call it a win -- after a lot of work, that is!

    16. Thank you! I am on the hunt hehehe. I may end up making clothes for him as well, especially pants. But that'll have to wait until he's here so I can size him properly. Hopefully just two months to go XD.

    17. @AntarelNefertili If you don't mind my asking, was the only thing done to your body rounding those shoulder edges out? It doesn't look like there is any good way to eliminate the uphill look of the upper arms as related to the neck. Just want to know in case my Sicily comes in on the new body. Your girl is absolutely gorgeous, by the way!

    18. Yup, only the pointy shoulder edges were rounded out for the mod. We were worried about the structural integrity of the result if we tried removing the slope (the resin might get too thin at the neck). As long as the perma-shrug was removed, I would have been more than happy. :XD:

    19. @AntarelNefertili Thanks for the info! If I end up with the new body, at least I know how to proceed!
