LOL, Glad you got what you wanted. I'm surprised Impl was resistant, but I guess all the special orders take a toll. I suppose they won't make any of their old dolls anymore either eh? Anyone try recently?

 

Oh goodness. I'm wondering if I should try to get my big parts order in sooner rather than later then...

 

What parts are these? Discontinued parts?

 

No, I just noticed they were reluctant to do the leg swap! I need some arms and legs, a couple chests and that sort of thing!

 

I honestly can’t remember if the total would have been more with the hybrid legs as I ordered them later and separately (the TGB wasn’t available when I first ordered my doll)

I hope this is the correct place to post about this, but I'm so excited I'm placing a layaway order for the model line Iris in dark tan, and I'm wondering of anyone would happen to have any images of that mold/skin tone combo or even just the mold in different skin tones. I'm having trouble picturing what she looks like with darker skin.

 

that's pretty good too but doesn't unseat my current out of context fav, courtesy of my mother (talking to her dog, while on the phone with me): "I just cleaned all the poop off the lawn, so I'll know if you were faking it"

I might need to just do a parts order as well, to build Orange, and whatever doesn't fit/work can go towards building my next mecha (a la Legion Omega Prime, although I'm still amassing parts for HAL...)

 

Wow!! Legion turned out great!!! My weird parts order is for one character who is 7 characters? Basically she’s been reincarnated 6 times, but remembers the other lives, so I’m shelling all the lives into one body and swapping heads/other parts for each one.

 

Impldoll Iris is so cute, much cuter than their pictures But I have never seen her in dark tan myself. Here is a picture I found in a google search with a tanish skin, though the dark tan Impl has looks super dark and I'm sure it would be totally different looking on Iris.

 

It's a model body iris on anti UV tan. she looks brown in daylight. but that doll is old, maybe 4-5 years. and on hold, because I'm selling her. just don't have any attention for her, so she going to other homes, where she will be loved.

 

Hello! I'm quite new at Impldoll babes, I ordered a couple bodies, male and female star bodies but Idk about what kind of clothes do fit them as I've never owned any bigger chunkier SDs even more with the star girl body, I ordered mine with medium bust option, what kinda clothes would fit her? Iplehouse EID? maybe SID? (or should I change the bust size option before its too late lol) I hope y'all can help me, thank you!!

 

Just a note for anyone wanting to colour match/custom colour with Impl. They said they're having a very slow time right now with their colour service so you could be waiting a good while. I am still waiting on my custom colour Ziv that I ordered back in late 2019. I did get a green Ziv just after new year in 2020 but Kulfi was the wrong green (far too light) and they said they'd re-make him. Then Covid happened *sigh*.

I contacted Impl in September to ask when my doll would be done and to make sure they had my address change since I had initially had my doll sent to my work and the company I worked for has since closed. They said in September to give them a few more months. I emailed them a few days ago for an update and that's when they said their colour service was backlogged and slow. I didn't get any idea of estimated time for my doll, only that he would be sent when he was done (which I assumed would be the case).

 

@IngieBee Ordered a Leona head for my event head, thanks to your photo! I wish that Impldoll had more photos of blank sculpts in good lighting.

@Iron_Dog Oh, I hope that doesn't extend to hybrids too. Anything that adds complexity, etc. Well, at least the doll won't be going to the wrong address?

 

Well, I find that the Star female body is about the size of Iplehouse HID or EID. You can find some things in that size on Etsy, and possibly a pattern or two you'll like. I'm actually working on a sloper pattern for my med bust Star girls, but I've got a lot of stuff happening around the house at the moment and that's been put on hold (but I did get a new power supply from my mom's old printer/scanner so I can make a pdf of the sloper when I've finished ) For the boy, I have NO idea. I special ordered my Star boy's outfit from Alice's collection. They have a bunch of clothes that can be custom sized. I gave them the whole kit and caboodle with graphics showing where measurements were taken. It turned out a little too tight still, but I also did this with a suit for my FGB boy and it turned out perfect (an awesome Mod suit, love it!)

@Iron_Dog , good to know. I can't purchase anything this year anymore, sadly, but it's good to know that if I did, I'd still probably have to wait over a year. Patience is seriously something you learn in this hobby!

Agreed @Valor about more blank head shots. I do like either their new faceup artist, or else that artists new style

@gaymergoose someone has an Aigne in the dark tan and she looks fantastic. Their darker tones look very nice on the Iris/Aigne/Tdelia trio

@IngieBee I hear a rumour they won't resurrect their older sculpts, which makes me sad. I enjoyed some of those weird ones.

@Chameleon I had a lot of fun explaining to my parents and siblings in law about the bag of missing resin penis parts after I opened my first SD and the parts went everywhere...

AW, That's sad, but understandable, especially if the older heads don't sell and you end up with expensive molds rotting on the shelf :/
