@gaymergoose From what I know of impl's smaller sculpts they are slim and some clothes that are standardized may look big on them. I don't have a model girl (just my boy) and he is...not necessarily small or slim but his overall scale is smaller than my Spiritdoll Proud boy (who is a skiiiiiiinny stringbean of a doll). Also, those damn single joint knees suck all the popsicles. They suck every lollipop. They suck. They need a stern word and probably some kips, at least if your doll is top heavy.

@Silver_Unicorn297 Granado's new New Normal is PALE compared to the 2016 version I ended up with. For reference, my Granado Michael x Impldoll Idolman FGB hybrid that I spam this forum with is supposed to be a combo of New Normal and RealSkin. The match was pretty reasonable (especially with faceup). But, as per this picture I posted on my IG, the newer Granado Enoch on the front row looks white compared to my doll (the one standing behind). They're both supposed to be New Normal; Enoch's owner and I even compared the insides of the headcaps of our Granadudes just to make sure my guy hasn't yellowed like crazy. And alas, it seems Granado had indeed gone the near-white route where their New Normal was concerned.

@AntarelNefertili Resin matching seems to be a trip, so glad I'm not a chemist

 

I second the info about the model boys not fitting into the typical SD sized pre-made clothes. Kulfi is currently wearing a coat from Luts and it fits him pretty well although it's a touch long in the sleeve. He's wearing pants from an outfit that is of unknown origin and they are too long in the leg and too wide at the waist although they fit nicely around his butt especially when sitting (no plumber's crack).

 

Most normal SD clothes should fit. If you'll forgive me that my model bodied dolls are with other heads, I'll link here some of the outfits I've gotten.

And I'm pretty sure anything from dollmore model dolls will fit, but I can't prove it (so take it with a grain of salt until someone who has proof shows you )
I feel comfortable getting anything intended for a SD doll.

Also, I don't know anything about the boy model dolls, but what @A Wee Tiefling says about the boys, in my opinion, is not true for the girls. The model girls are double jointed, very poseable, very stable, and I absolutely love them You can check out my review pictures here Please ignore the bad resin match, LOL

@IngieBee thanks so much for the photos and info! I ordered the short version of the overall outfit from the 2nd picture, along with some other SD outfits from Alice's Collection, so I'm glad that they fit well. Can't wait to get my Iris and dress her up! I'm excited about how poseable the model body is, it'll be perfect for photos. ^_^

 

Has anyone a Leona at home and could show me a photo or two? On the Impl Doll Site she is super crosseyed and I can't look past that I think her sculpt is rather pretty, but with her looking at me like that, I can't take this doll serious tbh

@jade-eyed-cat Thank you for the pictures! The match is actually pretty darn close, with Impl being more pink. I actually like the peachier tone of Granado, so I think I will go for a custom color body rather than blushing the head more pink ^_^

@AntarelNefertili I noticed the change in resin. I actually don't mind the new, paler color of Granado, although I'll have to see it in person. I can always blush it darker if I decide that it is too light for me--and it will look darker once I finish adding the faceup anyhow.

@A Wee Tiefling Ahh, Dante looks so cute! Love his style!

@IngieBee Oh wow, they really do look similar! I have an Azalea myself, although I was debating between Aurora and Azalea for the longest time.

 

@IngieBee @Silver_Unicorn297 Dante could always use MORE praise and adoration. He's neglected and scruffy, just a poor orphan waiting for resin table scraps. But as a fellow sucker for a pretty ginger, I suppose I just have to take him under my wing.

RE: the Leona sculpt, there are actually very tiny teeth in her mouth, though not really painted by Impl. I forgot they were supposed to be there

 

@IngieBee Is Leona's disappearing teeth like those other quirks of the Impldoll sculpting, semi invisible until the right faceup catches it?

(Definitely don't ignore Dante. It's a health hazard)

 

@A Wee Tiefling , actually, I just looked closely in Leona's mouth and I didn't see teeth. The picture shows teeth, I thought maybe they just didn't paint them in well, but under light, I see no teeth, but the mouth is indeed deeper cut, like maybe they decided to remove the teeth??


I like the teeth, too bad they're gone!

 

Now I'm imagining a dolly dentist somewhere doing mouth mods.

Did we ever come to a consensus on places to buy clothes for an Idol man? Tony is in sore need of trousers and shirts that weren't made for small dogs. I want to use AC but I also am broke and don't want to risk the international shipping.
