    3. magnetic human ears that is awesome. what does the carrying case look like.

    4. My Fantasia is here!!!!!! SHE IS HERE!!!! I'm so excited!!!

      *Banging into walls and windows*

    5. I agree . Artsits should be able to create a doll withour being sccused of copying. fairies are so popular. there are alot od accusations out there flying around.

    6. I've put a lot of pics of my Ember (whom I adore) in a Flickr album here, if you want to check her out.

    7. Wow AnitaS your Ember is stunning in everything!

Here is my Fantasia Columbine ElfTree
Face is down by me, the colors are a bit stonger than shown here.

    8. She's beautiful, Muse Star. I really like what you did with that top; very creative. What I find fascinating about Ember -- and I suspect it would be the same for Fantasia -- is how wonderful she looks in many different wigs. I just love her in the Tibetan fur-type wigs. I think Impldoll's faces are just intriguing, so different. I am seriously trying to resist getting even more wigs for Ember. I'm about to sew up one contemporary outfit to see how it suits her; I have a feeling she will be wearing only the long flowing things tho.

PS I think Fantasia looks much better with your faceup than with Impldoll's.

    9. WOW! Thank you so much Anitas! I wanted to try my own because I wasn't impressed by the face up either.

I wanted Columbine to wear more purple, but she surprised me as being a fan of most black. I did get her default dress to, once I saw it on her. I think the only thing she needs now is a sword or walking stick. She's starting to get a Lord of the Rings look to her. This is my first Impldoll too. But when she sits, she tends to lean way back, as if shes looking up at something.

    10. Yep, the sitting is the one problem area for the girls, I think. Standing, Ember can strike some really graceful poses. But she needs another torso joint to sit well, or more flexibility in that top joint. .... I spent some time last night fooling with her joints, particularly the multiple rings at the top of the legs. Found the way to best lock the legs for standing. But didn't really find anything to compensate for that straight-up sit. I did get her to sit straight ONCE, and dang, I couldn't figure out what I did to achieve it. I think there IS a trick, just not sure what it is.

Mine is "lounging" right now on a mat with a big pillow. Sort of on her side.

    11. I got my doll in and she is wonderful. I havent got pics up yet but I think she far better than pics the company took. She is a wow and I totally glad I stayed with her! I ordered her long time back but I almost changed my mind. but once u see her in person she great!

    12. AnitaS........Glad it's just not me that can't get her to sit properly. I have to lean her against something for her to sit straight. I thought having just one torso joint was a good idea. Gosh, this sounds bad! I really do love her so very much and wouldn't trade her for anything. I'l work with her and see if I can do what you did.
Her elf ears are glued in, sounds awful, but one magnet was a bit looser than the other and so now they are permanent, which I just wanted the elf anyway.
She is sitting one leg on, one leg off of my sewing cabinet right now still dressed as above picture. I'm taking her today to see how she travels with me. They send a cool carrier bag too! Love that!

    13. Yes, please pictures!!!

    14. Fantasia is simply magnificent, such fantastic)

      I am amazed*_*

    15. Muse Star - re sitting. OK, so here's the trick (and it's still not perfect). . . .You rotate that top joint of the leg (not the ball joint itself, the circular joint underneath it) so that the narrowest part is at the front. If you want her to stand solid, have the narrowest side of that joint at the back, so her legs can lock up right behind her buttocks.

Anyway, if that narrow part is at the front, her legs will come up higher. Sitting on something without a back - say a ledge, or with her legs to the side (which she does very well), you still have to throw one arm back and to the side to sort of "prop" her up. I can get her to sit up without the arm, but for a long-term pose, I want that arm back there. If she's in a chair, not so much a problem. And you should definitely be able to get her sitting straight enough that she's not looking up.

That's all I've got so far <g>. Hope it helps. And I hope I remembered this right. If I didn't, then it's all just the reverse, ha!

    16. Thanks AnitaS. I'm going to give it a try! Maybe thats why shes got those circular joints for a reason. I'll play around with them.

I'm used to having my dolls do what I want them to do. I ended up gluing those elf ears in place. It's sound horrible, but I kept loosing an ear every time I would take her some where. She's a bit big to take, but I wanted to see if I could do it.

    17. Doesn't sound crazy at all. I have the elf ears in my Ember (tiny, compared to Fantasia's) and they are her default ears. But I'm going to take advantage of having an extra set of human ears -- I'm going to pierce those. I wish Impldoll had blushed all three sets of ears to match the faceup; they only blushed the faun ears on Ember. (same for Fantasia, just one set blushed?) . . . I had to blush the others and it's still not a perfect match. I have to have hair in front of the ears, consequently.

    18. didn't Ember come with three sets of ears? I saw her at DDE, she's gorgeous. If I didn't have a Fantasia to finish paying for, she would have went home with me!

The part I had trouble with was eyebrows! Had to redo them once, so I guess that wasn't bad for my first try. I had no blushing or face ups done by Impldoll.

      AnitaS.......you must post pictures!

Okay rotating the circular joints helped out alot. She can now sit. Now I've got another problem! I brought her out for the first time to a restaurant and noticed one of her ears tips broke off!!! Guess she will be a home elf now. Can't risk breaking anymore! grrrrr
I was lucky enough to find the piece though. But I wanted to take her with me, guess not such a good idea.

    19. Allo all!

Anyhow... I am very confused. I've fallen maddly in love with Fantasia, and I'm having trouble understanding exactly why she hasn't sold better. Not that I'm complaining; it may mean that I actually have the chance to save up for her.
      But all the same...

Was the model just not well received? Or is there something problematic about the sculpt or the company? I admit I don't know much about IMPL doll.
