IMPLDOLL Fantasia Discussion thread

It seems pretty clear to me, no one is accusing Impldoll of recasting modified parts from another company. There is just debate because of how heavily they are obviously drawing on SOOM for their inspiration. In the other case, the first company made an announcement that they believed the doll head in question to be a modified recast of one of their dolls, and the accusations were never clearly dis-proven. From my perspective, one act is obviously wrong, the other just seems to be of questionable judgment and shows lack of creativity.

Even though I really like them, I feel a little weird about the Angelheim mini's because of the heavy SOOM (and Luts) influence that can be seen in them, but at the same time at least they were making them in a size that hadn't been done before and their dolls that were in the same size range incorporated new ideas. As for Fantasia and Ember, they seem even less original to me, but that could be because they don't really appeal to me, so I'm not biased in their favor.

I agree with this.

This doll is clearly heavily inspired by Soom's dolls, but it's up to individuals as to whether this bothers them or not.

I guess failing that, she might be available on the MP, which would give you chance to have a look at owner pics and work and decide at your own leisure. However, saying that, we don't know whether this limited doll will be like all the others and rocket up in price.

Also, the more I look at her, the more her sculpt grows on me. To me, it wasn't the face that bothered me most because Topaz and Cuprit are two beautiful dolls that I will never have the chance to own. It was the hands mainly because it was rather strange seeing a doll that had such a strong resemblance (just hands) to my Cass. If I had the money, which I don't because of Tedros, I would get her because I actually have a character who I could create her to be. I actually have a picture in my head of what she'd look like but alas, no monies

 

Slightly confused, but I was under the understanding that she was only limited to the lavender resin and fullset.

And I second what Twigling said. LS was banned for outright piracy. This is just copying an IDEA.

 

I'll check on that.

Thus far I can say, her LE is for the elf version in lavender skin with the extra human feet and hands.

I received an email that after the LE50's are sold, she'll be available in other tones (normal and white, and possibly grey for $10.00 more).

If they don't offer the extra parts in the Fantasia they'll release after LE50's are sold, then the price of her in normal/white skin tone will be $295.00 starting price (blank and naked) like the other Star dolls.

They might make Fantasia a human for the regular Star doll release of her, and leave the elf as the LE. Not sure yet, nothing much has come through about the after-LE50 release of the Fantasia sculpt.

I'll let you all know soon as it's all confirmed.

I don't know why so many say this isn't true.
if anyone says " the face is not like the ones from soom" thats not the problem.But the feet ..hands..name..and of those of Ember too..the name speaks for itself..thats important.
But you HAVE to say that there are to much "coincidence" .....

okay, it's normal that companys "steal" ( sry I'm not that good with english so sorry for that word !) ideas from other companys.

I'm sure hoping for faerie elf style clothing for her!

The outfit she has is nice and all, but I think would look good on a vampire rather than a elf. It's a great piece, don't a bit more gothic than fantasy. So..........yeah..........fantasy clothing would be great!

 

Update:

After the LE50 sell out, Fantasia will not be offered as an elf doll with the extra parts or elf parts. She will come with normal magnet human ears, flat feet and normal human hands like the other Star girl dolls.

Well I have to wait if I have money left after I bring home my other wishgirls, and then if she's still available I hope to get her in white skin (or maybe Impldoll have normal skin later then that is lighter then their current NS.)

Did you got her fullset (with clothes and face up) Musestar?

 

I was probably going to get this girl, but then Soom went and killed that idea with their new girl (who I may have to get, we'll see).. so I guess that puts my Fantasia plans right out the window!
Can't wait to see pics from those of you who get her though!!!

32 sold which leave&#8217;s the LE50 edition at 18 available still to order!

 

I think they will come out the ns too, I think I read that one at the waiting room. I got just the doll, no wig, blushing, face up or clothing, cause I got an idea.
I have her on order at DDE because they are about 1 1/2 hours away from me. I'd be broke if I lived any closure! It's really cool there!!!!

I did see the newest Soom teaser picture. But I got Fantasia because of her lavender skin, and I have been just dying for one!!! I caved badly!!!
