So many cute scorpions! Wow! And I love how you've styled your Greta, Mortifox!

My Greta is just a little human girl:

 

Aww!!! Such a cute one at that! Never underestimate the kissy face!

When I saw my Azura (gretta) I fell in love with the birdy feet, because I thought the face was too chuby and silly. However, one or two comments from my fiance and the dealer at the con where I found her... Well, she came home and I am in love wih every part of her!

 

Does anyone have pics of an Impldoll baby with a Littlefee for comparison?

 

Ooh ooh! I can do that late this evening! I have a LittleFee Flora and an Impl Gretta. They are very close in size and everything! In fact, the dress my Impl is wearing was on my LittleFee not too long ago.

Nother question... Does anyone have experience with the "new" normal resin that is "less yellow"? If so, what is the difference like? Does the new resin retain all the good pose-gripping properties of the old resin?

I sold my aimee head, but I kept the implbaby body, so I could take a picture for a specific angle if you want.

Eee. They left a notice while I was gone at work. I'm sad I wasn't here to get him, but I'm still so excited! I'll be able to pick my little Colin up tomorrow. ^^

 

I picked up my Colin yesterday and did the unboxing. I'll have to get photographs up and ready.

I'm a little disappointed in that they apparently forgot that I requested a special face-up; I asked about it before ordering and they said it would be no problem. As far as I can see, I got the default without any alterations. I could understand if they didn't want to change the face-up on a LE, in particular, but I probably wouldn't have paid for it if they'd told me I could only get default. It's beautifully done, but not at all what I had in mind for the character.

Otherwise, though, he's fantastic. The blushing on the scorpion body looks gorgeous. I think I'm going to be nervous about taking him anywhere lest I rub it off. XD

 

ooo, I'm excited to see one with the IMpldoll blushing! I don't think I've seen that yet. That sucks about the faceup request being forgotten

 

Agh, got busy and way behind on things. I finally got my box opening thread posted, though!

 

For anyone using the human legs on thier impldoll tiny, is there anyway to mod them or fix them so that the joints don't infinitly spin?
The ball in the hip socket, the thigh swivel joint, and the ankle joint on my doll are consistently unaligned and it's such a pain to have to fix his legs every time I touch him.
He stands so much better when everything is lined up, and its irritating that his legs just go all over the place right now ~_~

 

I don't have any issues with mine, though I did wire and suede him...

 

mine isn't wired or sueded. I thought about hot glue sueding him, but his thigh joint is such a tight fit I was worried that it wouldn't fit together well if I put hot glue on the joint.

what kind of sueding did you do? Which joints did you put it in?

 

It's hot glue sueding, but you do it veeeeeery thin. If I remember right, it's in all the joints except for the mobility joint. It's been a while since I've taken Surprise apart. ^^;

 

I might give the hot glue sueding a try soon, see how I like it and such. That mobility joint is such a pain thou, I wish it had some sort of internal latch to keep it from moving all the time. >.<

 

Hey! there is a new category on the Impldoll website! "tiny - 12cm" !!

I wonder when they will be released...and if they will also be fantasy like~! I'm really drawn to fantasy dolls, and the prices of Impl can't be beat.

 

Ooh, I hope they will be. I'm definitely a fan of the fantasy dolls as well. X3 And to get them in itsy-bitsy portable size? Count me in!

Edit: Impldoll is fantastic! They've offered to send me a replacement Colin head, and I might even be able to get the custom face-up I had wanted! I felt horrible about even contacting them, but they really are going above and beyond any expectations I'd had for a resolution.

Between that and the free head event, I think I might just be getting a Greta to keep my Colin-head company on his trip home. :3

 

Impldoll have the greatest service ever, and they're so nice! I'm getting a Jasper head as my free event head -- I've ordered bodies for my rolling heads and got over the $180. Of course, that's kind of counter-productive, to order bodies for rolling heads and aquire a new rolling head in the process!
