1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

IMPLDOLL Tiny Discussion.^^

Jul 9, 2010

    1. I use 6/7 with a silicone wigcap underneath in fiber wigs, and 5/6 in fur wigs. My Impl Jasper wears a Beachgirlnikita fur wig. My Harley wears a Happy Camille fiber. My Pinky wears a Monique fiber. My blue Jasper wears a random 6/7 I got off ebay.

    2. I don't have an Impl fantasy tiny, but I follow this thread because they're adorable. Anyway, Monique has stretchy wigcaps, and Leeke offers a 6-6.5 size that I've heard works better for YoSDs with those in-between sized heads.

    3. I really liked Leeke wigs, I wouldn't mind trying on of those, but they don't carry any white wigs! They have a couple of their "art wigs" that are partly white, I guess I could maybe try one of those out....

    4. I think they sometimes have seasonal limited white wigs, too, but I'm not sure if they have one up right now. :sweat

    5. Came to see about wig size and some one's already answered it lol. I tried some 6-7 and 5-6 monique wigs today and both of my little ones seem to be right in the middle. Maybe I'm imagining it but it almost seems like their ears prevent the larger wig from sitting on their head correctly. Like there's "bubble" under the top of the wig, not to mention the 6-7 bangs tend to cover up their faces. And the 5-6 I tried on were all too small. So I'm thinking maybe a 5-6 with a lot of stretch or like a 6.5. Wish someone other than Leeke made them, they're so expensive.

EDIT: And my Teno and Aimee came strung with what appears to be 3mm cord in their arms which prevents their wrists from turning since it's too thick. So just curious if any of you have run into this problem and where the best place is to get some elastic that will fit in there. As of now Teno has doubled over 1mm walmart elastic sooo not the best.

    6. Just to update, I have ordered a Leekeworld 6-7 which someone earlier suggested might work.. I will update when it's arrived :)

As for the elastic question, I've not noticed a problem with my Gela's wrists. But, in my experience with Impldolls, it seems like the elastic is always a bit too thick to slide through the elbow joints properly. I know a few doll companies sell elastic though I'm not sure which ones. The shipping from foreign companies is so expensive that I always order my elastic on ebay. Just search for "doll elastic in the "doll making & repair" category. It takes a bit of looking around, some sellers only have full spools available for sale while others willl sell you 2-10 yards.

    7. You can also get marine shock cord at the hardware store which I have heard works great.

    8. Cool Cat sells elastic in a variety of sizes as well as hooks and wig caps (and clothes and eyes and wigs and...). Despite them being overseas, their shipping is very reasonable (I think I paid about $7 shipping for several sizes of elastic, S-hooks, a wig cap and a wig a couple of years ago). They're also fairly quick with the shipping although you'll need to take into account the Xmas season right now. JS and MoC might sell elastic, too, and they're both US dealers although the MoC one may require a pre-order where JS would have it in stock if they show it on their site.

RSCN1861 by Reslie, on Flickr[/IMG] My boy (Simon) named Sean Felix is back from getting his faceup and I am really happy with it. The wig he is wearing is a 6/7 ForMyDoll wig and is almost too big for him but it works.

    10. I received my 6-6.5 Leekeworld wig! It is still a bit too big, I have a rubber band on under it to help hold it in place.
If I put it securely on her head, it looks like this:
But with some adjusting and trying to sweep the bangs to the sides a bit, I got it to sit like this:

I'm debating on whether or not I want to trim the bangs so I don't have to mess with it so much, but it's a $31 wig -_- so for now, I'm just happy she has hair! :)

Edited to add a question: Anyone else have problems getting horns to stay on with a wig? I don't have this problem with my dolls from other companies...the magnets in her horns are super weak!

    11. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I must have missed the updates until now lol. I think I might try and order some 2mm dollzone elastic from MoC. I've had nothing but good service from them so far. Probably wait til after the new year though.

@Drensik I know what you mean about cutting a Leekeworld wig lol. My RS Ju has huge ears and I had to cut slits in the wig cap so it would work. Not an easy thing to make myself do.

the wig thing seems like it's gonna be a trial and error affair. Times like this I wish I lived near MoC. The bjd store near me only carries Kemper and Monique...mostly Monique which doesn't work.

And I came up with names for my girls Aimee= Wen'diel "Wendi" and Teno(girl)=Ruineth "Ru". I had intended to call Aimee Wendy before they gave me a free Teno too. I decided to make them both elves but Aimee was already Wendy so I made it more elf-like lol.

    12. Drensik: If the wig isn't too oversized on her, putting in some small darts should be a fairly easy thing to do. Make them at the same points where the original wig parts are joined and do even darts and you should be okay. As long as its a small amount you take it in, you shouldn't have to worry about removing and then re-sewing the weft. When you try and take a wig in by an entire size is when it gets complicated.

If you're not dead set on a fibre wig, mohair is a possibility. I bought a wig for my boy from Michele Hardy and it fits beautifully and is soft. She's lovely to buy from and very willing to answer any questions you have.

blueboy57: I have an RS Jun and his ears interfere with getting wigs on his head. I also needed a specific length of hair for his character. I bought a 7/8 from Cool Cat and completely re-worked it to be a 6/7 and dyed it the colour it needed to be. Long process but worth it in the end as he now has the wig he needed.

    13. So I packed up the two heads (Aimee and Teno) to be shipped off for faceups and I just got to thinking. Do I even want them? Part of me just wants to sell them so I can get my bigger girl a body. If I sold them both it'd be enough to pay for her body completely (gotta love RS). They're going to end up costing me money that could be used elsewhere. Idk what to do. Anyone else dealt with this? I guess I could get them faceups and end up selling them later if I don't want/need them.

    14. I just order a BB doll Ives and I can't wait to received it! he's sooo cute :3

    15. curious has anyone gotten an Ives in yet or no? I want to order an Ives but I can't decide on what skin color I want its either real or tan. If anyone has ordered one what skin color did you chose?

    16. I get mine in pink skin :) I can put pics when I receive it :) he will be there around easter.

    17. Well I decided to keep Aimee and got her a faceup. So here she is. Her name is Wendael or "Wendi". I guess my pony obsession has rubbed off on her lol.

I'll be trading my Teno and her fantasy parts as well as Aimee's fantasy parts for a body for one of my other dolls.

    18. I'm getting an aimee soon. I want to mod her so she has big fluffy neko ears. How is the posing on these little cuties?

    19. Hi everyone! I don't have an Impl tiny (yet), but I wondered if they fit well into Littlefee clothes. Based on the website measurements, thee doesn't seem to be much difference in size. Thanks to anyone who can help me out!
