IMPLDOLL Tiny Discussion.^^

Skye - that'd be great, if you don't mind! (I would totally be making an offer on your Bei if she was any color other than blue, but I want my next Bei to be white.).

I was thinking about cutting into it and building a joint at the 'ankle' level, actually. :P I'm just not quite sure what form it would take.

Actually, I'm not sure it could be done. On my soom paws, there really isn't very much detail or sculpting to it, its just kind of a flared blob of resin. But on the Cyril hooves, there is an intense amount of sculpting! The fur on the hooves is very deeply carved, so much so that I don't even think the pastel blushing I did could be easily removed, if at all, from all the crevices. So, I'm not sure you could cut into it and make an ankle joint x_x

I was thinking about doing something like this - - cutting off the hoof part under the edge of the fur (and probably then cleaning up that edge on the top piece which woudl be the fur), then using milliput to add a ball joint onto the top of the hoof (and probably build a little more height to the wall of the hoof.)

Dunno. :P We'll see. Right now, the deciding factor is whether or not they look goofy next to a Bei.

Bei is so skinny, I think the style of clothing you dress her in really makes a big difference on how she appears. Overall, the Aimee face just looks bigger, but it looks bigger next to a Soom face too. I think the facial features are just more spread out.

Nacho's head seems to be larger than the others, and Ragequit seems surprisingly delicate compared to the Beyla sculpt.

 

Hmm. Weird. I'm running into this again and again where 1/6 dolls are really short-legged compared to Bei- I thought that they'd be closer to her own height- the head size and chunky-ness difference doesn't bother me, but the leg thing does! Arrgh. I'm wondering if I could mod the thighs on the Cyrill to add some length- how complicated are they, connection wise? Any chance I could get pictures of an unstrung doll in this series?

Yep, she's quite tall, taller than Bei, but thicker all around. She doesn't fit into TG/LTF-sized clothing and she's worn mostly Ty Girlz stuff this last few weeks. By contrast, I think Nacho the Harley is the shortest of my tinies.

Nacho is roughly comparable in size to Trinket, but Trinket is on the old-style Soom TG body, which seems to be thicker and shorter than the new style (Ragequit the Glati is on the newer TG body).

 

Okay, I don't have a picture to post yet, but I was at a convention over the weekend... and as you can assume, I came across an Impl tiny that needed a home. Well, I now own an Impl Greta birdy.

However, I don't like the birdy hands she come with and I really really want her to be a griffin... so what do I do? I sent a message to Impldoll about purchasing the Aimee Kitty paws. Well, they let me buy them!!! So, with some paws on way and a pretty name chosen...

Azura Dante will be a little griffin in no time! She will have a grey and blue coloration with a blue fur wig. I cannot wait to take pictures and show her to everyone!

I love how you aren't keeping her as a bird, but instead are doing a griffin....kinda like how I took my 'dragon boy' and turned him into a succubus girl!

I find that most wigs are too big.....My littlefee wig is definitly too big, as well as my Leeke. My Soom TG wig isn't much better.
So let me know what kind of wig you get and how it fits....as I need to get one >.<

Gryphon, that is a neat spelling of it. I always spelled it griffin. Neato!

 

Ahaha, I didn't even realize I'd done that. ^^; Comes from growing up reading too many fantasy books, I think. ^.~

 

LOL I have always adored griffins. They seem like the perfect animal for a cat and bird lover XD 'cause I know that I wouldn't be able to properly own both, I tried. So, my little Azura Dante will be the best little blue griffin ever! She'll keep her human face though.

Isn't there anyone on DoA that owns a Greta? I'd really like to see owner photos and such of her. I've searched the forums but it's kinda hard to find! (Sorry if I post in the wrong topic...)
