1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

In a parallel universe...

Aug 19, 2019

    1. No yellowing or discolorations would happen. BJD brands in malls, or like one big department store for dolly things. Non-lethal sealant cans for faceups.

      • x 1
    2. Every doll would be glorious love at first sight upon opening the box - never another disappointed "meh" in the bunch...

    3. All skin tones on every site would have detailed and labeled pictures
the hobby would be more accepted in "mainstream culture"
I would make enough money to be able to afford more / be able to afford spending more time to make more

    4. Clothes for my doll wouldn’t cost as much as clothes for myself. Lol

Correctly scaled accessories like furniture would be readily available for all sizes.

    5. The same sculpt would be available in multiple sizes, so if you fall in love with the face of an SD doll but find SDs too big for your taste, you could get the same face on an MSD doll.

      • x 2
    6. Doll head profile pictures. And blank pics as standard.

A video walkthrough with articulation shown off.

Comparison pics with other dolls sizes the company offers.

    7. You can take your dolls directly under the sunlight without worrying about yellowing.
You can draw your doll's faceup perfectly.
      Faceup materials smell safe.

    8. Or in a perfect universe, you always have enough space and storage for them, no matter how many? ;)

EDIT: someone already said that [facepalm]

    9. Ooh, I've got one! All dolls come with, or can have extra faces that match the original for different expressions! I'd love to be able to have a large variety of expressions that are still sculpted to match the character!

      • x 1
    10. All natural resin skin tone shades would be the same price (no extra fee). Female dolls would automatically come with a heeled foot and a flat foot.

    12. Small wigs are available in a wide variety of colors, both natural and fantasy, and styles. And always fit the doll size they are for well.

    13. 9-10 sized wigs actually all fit and come in way more colors and styles.
Doll production and wait times wouldn't be as long as multiple season changes.
Dolls and items labeled limited would be more available to the doll owning public.

    14. Easy to find larger than 1/12 scale dollhouse miniatures. 1/4, 1/3...they even sell them at hobby shops.

      • x 2
    15. Dolls are both affordable but allow enough income for creators to be paid; large companies commission artists to cut costs.

    16. Dream FCS would be regularly available at all VOLKS Sumika locations and ordering discontinued items would be a possibility.

    17. Dolls wouldn't be seen as "naturally creepy"

      Limited dolls are now seasonal

More variety in clothing sizes. No more "oh this is really cute... It doesn't come in BB/Uncle/RealPuki/Bunny size :("

    18. They would create a system that would give the dolls all the pose-ability without using elastic string so you can take them apart easily for cleaning and put them back together, never have to restring, suede, or wire them, and dolls would be 100% waterproof and never yellow.

    19. Accurate historical wigs in BJD sizes would exist without having to be custom-made!

    20. BJD Shops would be in major and mid-size cities on every continent.

Volks would have Dolpas in the central USA and not just on the coasts: LA or New York. And in Europe, although since I don't live in Europe I'm not sure what cities would be best for that. But in the central US regions: Chicago, Kansas City, Minneapolis/St. Paul or Dallas/Fort Worth.
