Infiniti Doll SID Boys - General Thread

Nov 2, 2010

    1. serenity - urmmm Sorry...If it not troubling you...Can you show me picture of Hue side face angle? only one would be enough...:sorry

since on the website not showing any side face of Hue...only one picture but still not accurate side face of him...

I'm so curious for the side face of him...I dunno why... :sweat
      Sorry to bother you... :sorry

    2. Hi Kaykatsu-Sure no problem. I'll have to take a new pic because I don't think I have ever taken any complete sideview pictures of him. Do you want him in a wig or bald? Just let me know and I'll post it tomorrow.

    3. serenity - Terribly sorry for troubling you more taking new pictures of Hue.... :sorry

urmmmm bald because can see clearly the face....but if it hard for you..I don't mind if he wearing wig also....
Thank you so much for willing to take Hue picture....I appreciate it... :dance

    4. [IMG]

You're Welcome, KayKatsu.:) Don't worry, it was no trouble at all, I'm glad I could help. I hope the picture is ok? If not let me know and I'll try again. If there is anything else I can help you with feel free to ask me here or you can PM me too.:)

    5. serenity - OMG...his side face so awesome n gorgeous...just what I had imagined...It just great...I fall in love more with him... :aheartbea

Your Ashley is so amazing...Love the white/black wig u put on him and the coat is it? :aheartbea

All the pics of him really nice... :XD:
Thank you very much for all the pics...I really appreciate it...Many thanks... :dance

    6. KayKatsu-You're Welcome, I'm glad the pictures helped. :)

Thank you for complimenting Ashley as well.:aheartbea I happen to like him in the black and white wig too. I just wish his eyelash/brow coloring was darker to match it better. I didn't realize his default make up was suited for a redhead until after he arrived. :(

To be honest, I was more shocked to see it and had to compare it to the one on the website. I wish I was more observant because I would have preferred his eyework to be painted in dk brown or soft black and would have asked to see if it was possible to change.

A few times I have contemplated having his face up redone or at least his eyelashes, brows darkened but I keep talking myself out of it since it is painted so beautifully. Maybe next year I'll be brave enough to change it.

Regarding the coat, it's from the suit set sold at InfinitiDoll. If you are in the market for a suit I would recommend it. It fits the guys great and I think is a good value for the price.

    7. Long time no see! I wish I could still post Ryder in this thread but I can't since he is and has been a Popodoll head on an Infiniti body. XD

But I'm shopping for a shorter SD for my one character, Sidney, and I just saw SID13 Ricky and he's really nice! Does anyone own an SID13 here? I'm debating on making him an SID13, but I also want to see where the Feeple 60's go...though none of the Feeple 60 characters suit him as of right now haha. Or maybe even SID13 Brian could do!

Oh, dolly woes are me!

    8. serenity - Maybe I didn't see the face up for Hue face to face so I feel the face up for Hue on the website was okay and nice...If me..I also prefer Hue face up a bit more black...

Don't worry serenity...you can make your own fav face up later for him...you can do it...you can always try again if u make mistakes.... :XD: at least u got more experiences with the face up than me who don't even have the doll yet...ahahaha :sweat

rather than coat..I wanna try make him wearing normal cloth for starting...coat is one of my fav suit also...i want refrain myself from being greedy for the style...so better I slow down for starting style...lol:sweat

PinkPlushii - I wanna see Brian and Ricky also from those who had them...they both so cute...I hope there someone that willing to share their pics here... :aheartbea

    9. Hi Pinkplushii. I haven't seen any of the little ones either. On another forum I did see a review of one of the SID13 bodies with a sdf head and it look pretty good from what I could tell.

Thanks for the vote of confidence KayKatsu. I'm sure he'll come out fine no matter how many times it takes. Lol;)

Do you plan to sew clothes by machine or hand? I'd like to see your clothes when you're finished.:) I'm not very skilled at sewing myself but I have made a few things. I think for me a combination of machine and hand sewing works best.

    10. serenity - about the cloth...for beginning..I just bought the clothes first for him to wear...I will sew some clothes for him..that for sure..I wanna create new clothes for him by my own style...sewing by hand will take long time... :sweat by machine fast...but then..I need to agree with you...using both is more nicer...can't wait to make my own clothes for him...I'm not really good in sewing..but will try my best since I love styling.... :dance

you sew for him...that so awesome...! I would love to see him wearing the cloth you made for him...I love to see clothes that the owner sew on their own for the doll...that really cool...various style for fashion...really attract me... ;)

serenity...I do had a lot of questions wanna ask you...but then...I may not be able to on for like 5 or 6 days starting tomorrow...need to go to my grandparent house...no internet there...so sad... :(
will see this website as soon as I come back from there and continue....lol...
      take care... ;)

    11. Kaykatsu- I'm positive whatever you make for him will come out great.:D I think having a sense of style and being creative is more important at the moment than sewing perfectly. You can work on your sewing technique as you design more clothes.

I'd like to be able to show you the clothes I've made but unfortunately I haven't sewn anything to fit my Infiniti guys. The clothes I did make were for my first doll and nothing special to show off, just a couple of t-shirts, pajamas and a costume for his first Halloween. I do have plans and fabric to make more things, it's just lately I never seem to have the time to sew. :(

Don't worry Kaykatsu, I understand and we can resume our conversation later. Take care as well and I hope you have a nice visit.:)

    12. KayKatsu - I'm debating on buying an SID13 Brian or Ricky to be one of my characters. :) If I do decide to buy one of them, I will definitely share my pictures here! The other choice I have is a Feeple 60, but I don't think any of them quite fit in with my character's look. xD At least the one's released...but god do I want that body lol.

serenity - Would you happen to have a link to that review? Or is the forum members only? I tried googling for a review but google was very unhelpful. XD

    13. Thank you so much, serenity! It seems like the SID13 body has all the perks and flaws of the SID body, which is personally fine with me as I'm used to handling the SID body. xD

    14. PinkPlushii - I'm looking forward for ur SID13 pics later.... so excited... :D both Brian and Ricky are awesome..if im in ur place...it will be hard for me to choose also...

serenity - I'm back...LOL...so happy suddenly... :dance how are you doing...? :)

Even pajamas or t-shirts...as long as the owner who made the cloth for the doll...I still think it precious...different people different style of creating the cloth...even it simple..the effort they put very priceless...coz I know sewing not that easy for starting...or even for some people who already sew many clothes...even me still not good in sewing..I wonder how my first cloth that I sew for the doll later will look like....even imagine it made me laugh...:sweat

    15. PinkPlushii- You're welcome.

Hi Kaykatsu, I'm doing well. I hope you had a nice trip. :)

I wouldn't worry too much about your first sewing project. I'm sure in the end it will be a success even if the first attempt fails. I think as long as you are happy with what you created it doesn't matter if it's perfect or not. :D

Although, I'll have to admit my first attempt at sewing a shirt was pretty funny. I downloaded a pattern for a sd13 t-shirt I found in the sewing section of DOA and thought I'd have no trouble making it. Boy was I wrong. It ended up being too short and too wide so he looked like he was wearing a midriff top. :sweat Not what I had in mind at all. I don't know what happened but I think the pattern got distorted when I printed it and I should have realized the size was off before I started sewing. :doh

Have you decided what hair color/hair style you'd like for your Hue yet? What about eye color?

    16. serenity - The trip is nice..just the journey is exhausting...made me sick.. *_* overall it was fun...

I will give my best for the first cloth that I sew later...need to be careful for the measurement...that why I will wait for the doll to arrive first and then take the body measurement...at least a bit easier to measure...
It ok serenity...first time making cloth will always be like that..I remember the time I sew my first cloth in school..it was so plain and ugly... so shy...:sweat but that for human size..I wonder how will I make for this doll size...I bet my cloth later for him will wrong measure a bit also...even if i got him in front of me... :XD: nervous and panic when sew always effected me...

About the hair and eye colour...Im so greedy...if can all I wanna put at him..LOL... :sigh
but I guess to start with..I will make him wear brown hair and red eye or yellow/gold eye... :)

    17. Kaykatsu-Sorry to hear you got sick, but I'm glad you had a nice time. :)

I'm always changing the hair/eye color on my guys too so I don't think it's wrong to be greedy.(lol) Actually I find it somewhat boring to keep them in the same wig/eye color all the time so it's nice to have a variety of styles and colors for them to wear. I think the brown hair and either color of eyes will look great on Hue. :D

As for Ray's hair I'm thinking about black or a very dk brown that looks black with either dk brown or plum colored eyes.

Although, I'll have to wait until he arrives and try on what I have on hand to make sure. Sometimes the wig/eye coloring I plan for my doll ahead of times doesn't work out to my liking due to the make up, skin tone etc so it may end up being something entirely different.

I'm getting anxious for his arrival. Hopefully it will only be a few more weeks. This upcoming Monday will be 4 weeks since I paid off my layaway. I've never done a layaway with Infiniti before so I'm not sure of the shipping schedule. They told me it would be 3-4 weeks after making the final payment but I paid it off early so I don't know if it alters the timeline. Ordering normally, it takes about 45 business days which ends up being a little over 2 months so hopefully he will ship soon.:aheartbea

    18. serenity - I love many styles and colours for hair and eyes...but seem like i love brown/brown gold hair more... :whee:

ohh that great...I can't wait to see how you styling your Ray later...so excited :aheartbea I think black colour goes well with Ray...even the blank sculpture he looks younger but black and dark theme suit him best...
No need to worry if it doesn't suit him...You can always change to another styles later...like you said it will be boring just the same style for long time....

You getting anxious waiting for Ray...I feel excited to see your Ray...No Ray pictures yet from any owners...Can't wait to see his pics with more angles...and in different styles...wanna see the differences between those pics on the website and those who own Ray... :love

About layaway...can you explain more about it....even it wrote on the website...it still confused me...*_*
I'm so curious about this layaway system...I'm new about this that I scare I might wrong in some points...I understand a bit about it...but getting more info from those who got more experiences with the layaway is more better... :XD:

    19. Kaykatsu- I can only submit one pic of Ray in this discussion thread per post but I'll make sure to take many pictures of him and give you the link to an online photo album so you can see them all. :D

As for the layaway, I'll try to explain the best I can. If you haven't signed up for an account yet I would do that first and make sure your shipping information and phone number is correct.

Next step would be to choose Hue, pick the skin color you want for him then add him to your shopping cart. Now choose "go to checkout". Again verify your shipping info, phone number etc then it will ask you how you want to pay. Choose layaway and complete the checkout process. At the end it will give you an "order number". (Write it down, copy it to a notepad, whatever is easiest because you will need it when you pay.)

They have a shipping estimator when you add the doll to the shopping cart so I took the liberty of looking up the shipping to your country which was estimated to be $32.90 so the total cost of your order should be somewhere around $632.90.

Before you make your first payment, decide if you want a 3 or 4 part layaway. If I was doing the 3 part I'd put down $212.90 for the first payment and have two payments left of $210.00 to pay each month.(Easier to get that .90 out of the way to me.) For the 4 part layaway I'd put down $158.90 initially then make three other payments of $158.00 each month. (Now if your total is different you will have to readjust these numbers)

Onto the the payment process, Go back to the main page and click gift certificates on the left side. Lets say we are doing the 4 part layaway and you need to pay $158.90. Click the brown gift certificate 0.01 usd change the amount to 90 then add to cart.

Next select the green gift certificate 1usd and change the amount to 158 then add to cart. Verify your amount $158.90 and before you checkout write in the comment box something like "This is the first layaway payment for my order #???" and then select how you want to pay and complete the order. Usually I'll write them a message on the Q&A board as well to verify the payment but it's probably not required. Hopefully this isn't too hard to understand.:sweat
