1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Infiniti Doll SID Boys - General Thread

Nov 2, 2010

    1. Ah, I seem to remember it did take a bit of time. But it wasn't... that long... I think about a week or two? I can't recall, but it was long enough that I did poke them about it. Perhaps you can ask them on their FAQ board? I think they tend to ship things out on Fridays...

    2. Ok thanks Razaera. I'll give them a few more days and if I don't hear anything by then I'll drop them a message.

    3. Razaera- I love your pics. I love Julien's expressions in the pics you take. ^__^

I got my girl today, but am confused about the putty +_+

serenity- I did look at the tutorial you gave me the link to back in the waitign room thread, but I am still kind of confused ><
Since it says soil and all.

Ok +_+ onto the question. You half the putty into two and make into doughnuts shape...right? The putty feels hard and this is where I am confused... how do you shape it... do you wet it slightly or just use your hands and it will soften on its own?

    4. Congratulations Mystical Rose! I'm happy to hear your Daffodil arrived safely. : D

About the "oiled soil" term in the tutorial, I think unfortunately that's what they translated the word "eye putty" into but the pictures pretty much show what you need to do. Anyways yes, you break the putty into two parts and make them into donuts or ring like shapes then attach around the eyes.

If the putty is semi hard I would knead it until it becomes soft, I don't know if water helps or not. If it's very hard and unable to be kneaded, I would suspect it's bad and you would need a replacement but hopefully that won't be necessary. Good Luck and I hope you can get her eyes in ok. I'm anxious to see her. Will you be doing a box opening?

    5. I usually replace the standard eye putty with silicon earplugs from the drugstore. They're much softer and since they're cheap and available, I don't feel bad throwing them away when they get soiled.

Anyway, congratulations Mystical Rose! I hope you have a chance to get pictures!

    6. serenity-Thank you >^o^< lol.. no wonder it was confusing ><
I see. I will do XD Hopefully it is not old too +_+ Thanks. I am working on one. I was in the middle of it,but had to stop due to husband leaving for work and our two year old daughter needing to be watched. I hope to have it up tomorrow or Wednesday.

snowgray- I might have to buy some of those and try that ^__^
Thank you >^o^< I will be posting not only the box opening, but some for the girl's thread too ~_^

    7. Eeee Ryder's new wig should be here in a couple of days! I'm hoping by tomorrow because I really wanna take pictures of him and Kadin together. ;o;

Razaera - Julien's expressions are so life-like! Isn't it amazing how a doll's expression completely changes depending on the angle? :3

Mystical Rose - OMG YES. CONGRATS!!! :D:D Is there a box opening? If so, you should totally link it. n__n

and I agree with silicone earplugs. I've used all kinds of things as putty, and macs silicone earplugs are the best I've ever used. For the record, I've used: Kneadable erasers, blu-tak, infiniti putty (I think it might be sculpy actually? :?) volks putty, and leeke putty.

I absolutely HATE volks putty. It sticks to absolutely everything. I had to take off my doll's eyelashes to get it out all the way because it somehow got stuck onto his eyelashes. :( Leeke putty isn't much better, but it's not as oily/greasy/moist? XD

    8. PinkPlushii- Hope your wig gets to you soon ^_^
Thank You >^o^< There is one ^__^ I just posted it and am about to post the link to it.
lol... my husband was saying the same thing as he put the eyes in. I made him do it after showing him the picture of it from the link serenity gave me. Where do you get the earplugs from and macs is the brand?

Oh no sorry to hear about the trouble with putty. ack... sounds horrible.

Here is the link to box opening ^__^

    9. Mystical Rose-I'm glad to know you were able to get her eyes in ok. Congrats again and now you'll have to start saving for her companion. We need some more company in this room. LOL

PinkPlushii- Looking forward to seeing Ryder in his new wig.

    10. Hi there everyone I need help I have an infiniti doll head and I was wondering if it matched the volks resin? please answer soon! thanks!! <3

    11. Hey! I have a volks and an inifiniti doll and I'd be more than glad to take pictures. :) But first I have to get this Spanish assignment done before 12 AM XD

    12. serenity- One eye was easier then the other. husband just put it in and it was perfect right away. Of course he asked me to look and make sure it was staright. The second one he had to pick her up and place the eye while lok at ehr sicne I could not tell him which drirection he needed to go XD My husband told me the hook kind of makes it hard..lol
Thanks >^o^< Indeed. I was just telling my husband that ^__^ The look on his face was funny, but he has agreed we will get her a companion..LOL

    13. Oh, has anyone a Switch wig on your SID boy (I think Razaera mentioned it, but I'm not sure)? Which size do you use?
Oh well, I'm sorry for just asking all the time.

    14. Hallo =) I use Switch. <3 After using Switch wigs I haven't wanted to use anything else on him haha! I use a 8-9 on my fellow. =3 The chocolate cut he has is sort of big, I have to slip it over one ear, but the madeleine cut I have, in the same 8-9 size, fits nicely without having to put it over a ear. =) But Justin may have a smaller head size than other fellows so I don't know if it will be the same...

    15. Thanks, Razaera. I know the Infi says they boys should have 9-10, but from what I have read it seems it depends so much on a sculp and company, I can't take Infi's info that seriously ^^
The Switch wigs look the best to me, what a pity they are so hard to get (I would love to get my hands on a Chocolate or Candy Cut, but that's a big dream I guess). I also like Leeke's variety of colours, but I don't like how the cap shows <_< (I guess I'm picky.)

    16. Oh yes, it depends on the sculpt I believe. Ah, not to worry, I'm picky as well - I don't like when the wig cap shows, which is why I like the switch wigs. =) They are really worth your dollar!!!

    17. Razaera: OK, thanks for your info, I'll try hunting for switch 8-9 one (and if it doesn't fit, then at least I'll have future reference ^_^)

    18. Dropping off a picture of Julien taken by my friend whose camera skills definitely pwnz0r mine to the end of time!

    19. Razaera-Oooh, Nice piccie of Julien! He looks very intense. . . . You were right, my suit shipped on Friday. Although according to the tracking it's been sitting in the airport since then. Oh well at least I should get it during the week. I have another suit coming for one of my other guys from Leeke world and I'll try it on Ash to see if it's even close to fitting. I'll be pissed if it does because I like the style of the coat better.

    20. Just an update. I got my Leeke world order this morning and wanted to report that this shirt and tie set fits great!
      http://www.leekeworld.com/En/Product/p_view.asp?it_code=3258&B_catalog_num=25

I tried on the suit I ordered http://www.leekeworld.com/En/Product/p_view.asp?it_code=3254&B_catalog_num=25 and was suprised to see the coat fit very well. Slightly tight going on over the shirt but looked really good once it was on. No problem buttoning it either. The pants fit good in the waist and are tailored in the legs but too short for my liking but if you don't mind them resting on the top of the foot it could work.
