1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

injuries your dollies have caused :O

Feb 18, 2016

    1. I've got a ridiculous one! I just got a new respirator recently and the straps must have been rubbing at my ears weirdly when I put it on and off for spraying, so that after a day of faceupping I finished up and went to take out my earrings... and realized both the second holes in my ears were bleeding. I didn't even register the discomfort at the time, but boy am I aware of it now as I'm stuck leaving earrings in all the time while they heal! :...(

    2. To this day, each times I try to take off Yo's head, his S hook tries to take my finger down with it.
But he was my first doll and when I tried to simply grab the S-Hook and turn it for the first time, he pinched me rather hard.

    3. Something in my IOS Chaos' packaging was so sharp that it cut my finger cleanly enough that I didn't notice. As I was turning him over in my hands I kept seeing these powdery reddish smudges that would reappear in different places every time I wiped one away, it took me a bit to figure out that it was my blood and it looked powdery because of the mold release that was still on him. I guess he's mine now. :sweat He has been properly sanitized, but I like to joke that IOS demands blood sacrifice.

    4. I was restringing Lance with a restringing tool, and it had gotten stuck or something because it wouldn't come out. So I tugged again, it slipped, and I slashed my thumb clean open. I did end up tossing that tool in frustration; I ended up buying another restringing tool because (horrible injury aside) they're generally easier! But definitely swore them off for a while.

    5. "Rope burn" from elastic while restringing one of my boys. Hurt for a few days!

    6. I can't remember which doll it was, but I was posing them and went to bend them so that they were looking down. I was standing under them, and I got beaked really hard in the head! It hurt for a couple of days.

I'm sure I've had others over the years, but that is the first one that comes to mind.

    7. oh!Almost every restringing turned out to be an accident. But there was only one time that I bled. I couldn't find my hook so I used scissors instead , thought it would be ok……It worked well, except in the end they stuck into my thumb……perhaps it doesn't seem to be an injury compared to all yours. :sweat

    8. I regularly get rope burn when re-stringing my SD boy.

    9. @Lighthouse Asylum

      Ouch. Blood for IOS indeed!

I have a history. Everything from cutting myself with X-acto knives to being gouged by an S-hook. But my favorite was provided by my first doll, a Bobobie Long.

He needed tightening. I pulled and pulled, but the elastic was stuck somehow. So I pulled again. Off came his head, and the momentum sent my hand back into my face. Yes, you read that right. He made me punch myself in the eyesocket, still holding his head. There was moderate bruising, but thankfully no black eye.
