1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Instant/Quick BJD Family

Apr 4, 2007

    1. Update: Since Jan 8th 2007, (when my first doll arrived) I now have 3 full dolls and 3 floating heads. I'd buy a new doll once a month if I could! It's been almost 6 months and I'm still bringing new girls and boys home.

    2. Well, I got two dolls in the same year, but I'm simply not rich enough to do it super fast!

    3. DoC TToo and Bee-A Pair - both arrived in November 2005
CP Delf Lishe - arrived October 2006

      Soon
CP Delf Shiwoo or Latidoll M - November 2007
      Latidoll Lumi - December 2007

      So no x.x; I will get two in two months though 6_6;;;

    4. Wow I don't think your alone at all :3 theres loads of people who would get them that fast an have allready done an I would be included...if I had money Ive just ordere my first doll an Im allready funding for the next an the next....if I had my own way it'd be raining dolls here theres just so many I want its crazy D=

    5. I always want to make sure I'm buying a doll I really love so I tend to space them. There was a year between my first and second dolls arriving and there's been about two years between my second and third. Part of my limitations in ordering though was money.

    6. I'm probably going to wait quite awhile before my next doll. I got a second-hand Sato FCS for my first girl, so I think I might stick with Volks and get another FCS for my second (if I ever get one...). However, with the shopping service and all it will be quite expensive, and I also need to think of all the choices I would need to make. I think I need to know a lot more before I'm ready for that!

    7. Heh, I just past the 1 year mark. 7 dolls @_@ I have no idea how it happened either. I promised myself only one doll per three months this year, but seeing as I'm ordering two at once in august (if I can even wait that long!) I don't think that's gonna work.

    8. Well, the time difference between my first doll, and my third was about two months or so. So from 0-3 within a couple of months. I never planned it that way - it just... happened.

    9. Augh, I have to post back in here...

Cause over the last two months, I've bought...four dolls. :sweat

      And I am DONE. REALLY.

      :|

My bank account hopes so anyways. XD

    10. Well if I win him on E-bay I will have two dolls in a year. I wansn't planing on geting another doll for a while but I coulden't say no to that cute face.

    11. :sweat
      First doll arrived Aug 06.
      Second doll Nov 06.
      Sold second doll Jan 07.
Started lay away for another second doll Jan 07.
Found great deal on third doll second hand, um... March?
Then second doll came in April or so...
Then suddenly last month, the Angel of Dream came up and I had to have a Chen, so there's number four - currently still being made.
But in the meantime a couple weeks ago, number five popped up on the marketplace and I snapped him up too!
      So, yeah. :sweat
      You're not alone. :)
When the funds are available, dolls mysteriously show up on my doorstep.
      ;)
      Funny how that works.

(And yeah, I started out as an avowed "only this one doll" person. :XD: )

PS - Update: Number six is now on layaway! When a Dream Doll of yours pops up, ya grabs it! ;)

    12. I recieved my first doll on December 22nd of last year.

I now have 7 dolls and I'm waiting on the 8th. x.x So I've gone pretty fast I think.

    13. Let's see...

early January - fell in love with the Elfdoll Red, spent a few days waffling back and forth as to whether I'd get him
      January 5 - Ordered him!
      February 13 - Asher arrived
      February 22 - Ordered Benjamin
      March 9 - Benjamin arrived!
      May 2 - ordered Paige
mid-May - ordered sleeping head for doll #5 (as it's limited and it'll be harder to find later on)
May 29 - the sleeping head arrived!
June 5 - got shipping confirmation for doll ordered May 2nd

3 1/2 dolls in less than six months. I guess it's still fewer than others! But is there really a shame in it if you can afford it and love the doll?

Summer - most likely will order doll #4.
Autumn sometime - most likely will order doll #5

That will be my entire main cast (save doll 5, who is technically a minor character, but I'm in love with the sculpt and buying him anyway). After they're all here, I hope to be good for awhile. I think my bank account will be happier for it ^_^

So less than a year for a full cast of 5? Not too bad.

I wanted to buy an MSD girl found in the Marketplace in this last week, but I simply can't afford her this month. Otherwise, I would certainly be on doll #4 and six in a year.

    14. Well, it wasn't quite so fast, but quicker than I would have hoped!:

late April 2006: First interest (began buying Pullips as I thought BJDs were too expensive)
      May: decided to buy BJDs
May 31st (My birthday ♥): Ordered first BJD
June 6th/7th?: Ordered 2nd doll (along with three outfits- for 1st, 2nd and intended 3rd dolls)
      early August: Bought 3rd doll
Late Aug: eyeing fourth-doll-to-be in eBay
mid September: 4th doll relisted at a lower price. Ended up winning him (of course..!)

This year so far, I've bought (in Feb) a couple of cheap heads for experimenting on, and my MNF Shushu vamp elf head, his body, and in a week I am about to make a major order (two more dolls, and in the process getting the Nanuri 2007 head!). Not to mention I will be buying from the Unoa boy preorder, whenever that is. *please not too soon! XD*

However, since my only income is pocket money and birthday/Christmas money, my poor boys have next to no clothes. (Two of them share an outfit, Tiv (my only SD-sized doll) has a free event outfit that I don't consider suitable for wearing out, and the next three dolls (the Shushu and two other MNFs) I will HAVE to make clothes for over the summer.) And two of them won't even have wigs for a while. -_- Sadly, my efforts are targeted at getting my gang(s) together. *had a huge list from the start which is only going to grow*

    15. OMG I am almost embarrased...I ordered my first doll Soah, April 14 and now almost exactly 2 months later I have 4 dolls, am expecting 2 more and have 1 on lay-away. ALL of my personal money goes to dolls. ;)

    16. I ordered my first doll on Feb, he arrived in March. I ordered my girl in beginning of April, she arrived the same week. I ordered my tiny in end of April, he arrived May. And my ultimate splurge.. Cecile was won off Y!J near the end of May > < I got him beginning of June. I'm totally content now though, I don't think I'll be wanting another doll SUPER bad anytime soon ^-^ Of course, if I have the funds, I may need to rethink that :D I'm planning a F-17 FCS and if I make enough at AX this year, I might have to take advantage of the fact that I live within 35 minutes of the LA Sumika :D I'm moving to New York this August so I'm hoping I can get my FCS in before then XD;; *hopehope*

Once I move to NY however and have enough funds saved up, I'm ordering a SD Kun ^-^ Save on $50 CA sales tax and just pay $20 shipping! :D

    17. Not insanely quick or anything, but I try to get two dolls a year lately. It's just become a habit, and a big holiday isn't the same without a BJD ^^; So, one for my birthday, and one for Christmas. I got Alex for a birthday, took Christmas off that year (lame attempt at responsibility), then the next year I got Caelan for my birthday and Maverick for Christmas, the year following I got Laurent for my birthday and Mikel for Christmas. This year, I want Xavier's body for my birthday, and a Dollshe for Christmas . . . but things are a little tighter, so who knows? I might have to slow pace for a bit. I did order Meztli, though, so I already have one and might just end up with two or three. For me, that's pretty fast.

    18. Well, mine haven't been quite so fast. It's just felt like it to me! LOL! I was just telling a friend that it feels like I blinked and suddenly there were six! :o LOL!

January '07 - Got into Dollies
      February '07 - Kaz & Liam arrived.

      May '07 - Jaz & Cale arrived
June '07 - Malbro arrived & Zak is due to arrive.

I tend to order in doubles. :P

    19. Here's my dollie family line:

Sometime Summer 2004: got into BJD
June 7th 2005: Ordered my first doll (U of DOD)
July 29th 2005: First doll comes home (It's also Wil Wheaton's birthday!!!)
November 10th 2005: Ordered second doll (Si from DOD)
January 10th 2006: Second doll comes home
May 18th 2007: Ordered new dolls (DOD Tender Too and Tender Bee-a)
      now awaiting dolls

yup...I'v had lots of gaps in between getting dolls.

    20. I would say 4 BJDs in about the span of a half-year is doing okay. I had a major run on boys this year, and got one of the LUTS events heads within it too...Does that count as 4.1 boys then? :)

The tide doesn't seem to be slowing...only the funds!
