Internal organs, for realisms sake?

For me that's going too far ... unless they will be displayed then that's a different story ...

 

I was completely for this idea, initially! I love gore mods, I love realism, so this seems right up my alley. Unfortunately, how would the internal organs fit in the doll around the stringing, without effecting movement?

 

I was thinking about possibly buying a slightly cheaper BJD to go zombie expirementing/modding on... My idea was to carve out parts of the torso , place in a slightly concave barrier of sorts to keep things from actually falling into the body, then molding organs and ribs into this barrier so it appears to be the insides showing, but not actually being inside of the BJD. It would appear to be something along the lines of those medical diagrams where you see the outside skin, but parts are open to show the inside. Other than that extreme modding I want to subject myself to, I don't want any little things clinking around and making retringing a pain.
But the little felt hearts and squishy brains sound fun (:

 

hahaha for me no, I don't care about internal organs in my dolls because I only appreciate my doll on outside but dolls must have nipples and penis. LOL

 

I'd love to have brains for my dolls, especially considering my friends and family look inside their heads and go like "they have no brain o_O" xD

Also, if I had a dead and/or physically hurt doll, it would be cool to have some insides showing.

 

That would scare the CRAP out of me. xDD It sounds awesome, but since I've always been squeamish and other dolls and even some BJDs scare me, I'm going to have to pass.

A brain would be kind of cool. I like the way Soom incorporated one into their Idealian line, but I think the other organs might get in the way of the strings, but it certainly would be interesting to see if someone did do it. I have contemplated doing a heart once or twice.

 

The idea with heart seems enough lovely, and with brains - cheerful. With pleasure saw in other dolls, but it I will directly not do. And internal organs- me it is not pleasant.

 

I have a friend who is a doctor who is not into dolls. When she came to visit me after I started collecting BJDs, I showed her my dolls and she was very polite and let me blather on about them.

However, when I went to show her how you can change their eyes, I popped off the headcap and she freaked out on me!
"Um," she said, "THAT'S NOT WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE!!!"
It bothered her significantly that when I popped the headcap off, it didn't look like the inside of a human's head... because she's seen what the inside of a real human head actually looks like.

Since then I've been tempted to try to find realistic brains to put in my doll's heads, just so that the next time she's in town I can proudly show her.

 

Ugh, no! That's a bit too much realism for me. Someone into gore mods or horror mods or something like that might find that idea appealing, but it's definitely something that I can do without.

 

I think the idea is really neat, but Im not sure if I would do it myself, maybe a heart as a prop or something for a vampire, but not sure I would actually do that either.

 

Didn't that Soom idealian have a brain? Does it still? I though there was a bjd company that used to put heart beats in dolls...

I wouldn't mind a soft sating shaped heart in my dolls like build a bear, that'd be cute!

 

hmm, personally I've never thought of this. However now that you've given me the idea, I think I definitely want to make a heart for my doll. make a realistic heart, but make it for more than just realism sake.

 

WOW kinda a gross idea unless you want to play operation then it sounds like a plan

 

I'm a little bit morbid, perhaps, but I would absolutely love this! Depending on how much space is available in a particular doll, I could absolutely see sewing up a little set of felt organs to slip inside. :3 I would appreciate it the most if they were actually visible (I would love to have a zombie doll) but I think it would give me a twinge of glee every time I opened a doll and saw the soft little innards hiding in there.

If nothing else, I am very sold on the idea of popping a wee brain into the head.

This is... an interesting idea.
I can see why someone would like to have internal organs in their doll, and I am tempted by the idea, but only for the zombie/ gore doll, where one can see those organs also from outside.
If they'd be just stuffed inside, I wonder what delight there might be besides of the knowledge that they are there.
I'm also wondering if organs that are just put inside would affect the moveability and poseability?

But yes, I'm thempted by the idea, if I can see the organs from the outside, as a part of the doll's aesthetics.
So now I just wait if someone is going to execute this kind of extreme modding.

 

I don't think it's needed, even for realisms sake. Unless you pointed it out, no one would even know. Your doll wouldn't look any more realistic. Hearts do sound sorta cute though.
