Internal organs, for realisms sake?

It is an interesting idea but I think even if it was for the sake of realism it wouldn't be too practical to have internal organs being INSIDE the doll although the Satin Heart is a cute idea as well as the whole brain-shaped stressball in the head.

Unless the doll is a zombie or sometype of mythological creature like the Penanggalan or is fantasy-based or futuristic, and/or a cadaver, or an autopsy experiment?/victim? I think it would be cool. Scary but cool none the less.

But personally I don't think I would bother with every internal organ besides the heart and brain for my dolls. I like them just as they are since they are already realistic.

 

I feel the same way about this as i do about video game graphics- i like the realistic aesthetic details, but i want the overall look to be fiction. like i want my doll clothes to be realistic, but not the dolls themselves. For instance i love dollzone sculpts because they have what someone called an otherworldly or cartoon look to them. I like game graphics to be like Dark Cloud or Kingdom Hearts, obviously virtual looking surfaces and shapes but some level of small detail or lighting effects or fluid movement so in those ways they are realistic but overall no one would call those real looking games.

So I wouldn't put any organs in my dolls at all, it's also just unnecessary.

 

Idealian has a resin brain that the string loops over instead of an S-hook. I makes taking the head a lot easier.

I sort of like the idea of a heart--but I would use one more for symbolic reasons as opposed for reaslistic ones (so I'd be using a symbolic heart than a realistic one with arterties and all attached to it).
The brain inside the head is sort of amusing, but I don't think I'd actually do it myself. Personally, if I were to stick anything inside one of my dolls' heads, it would be extra eyes, putty, or something similar. ^.^;

 

It could definitely be interesting, especially if there are features like ribs showing or similar (assuming it's relevant to the doll).

 

Its interesting, but slightly disturbing to me. I mean, I dont really wanna open up the head-cap and see a brain ._. and it would feel like one of those anatomy kits made of plastic that you see in biology...just saying >.<

 

Wait, dolls with detachable penii? Which dolls are these? What is the reasoning behind them being detachable? Is it so owners can change them with penii in a more 'excitable' state?

 

I would only go so far as to put a felt heart inside my doll.... perhaps with thier name on it or "date of birth"

 

Not for me. I will not buy internal organs for my doll unless it fits my theme of my photo. HOwever, I do not htink it wouil ever come to me. Organ is just a little too much for me.

 

I never thought about my doll having inner organs....I mean my girl doesn't even have a vagina...I think it would be cool though...kinda gorey...hmmm

 

The idea sounds interesting itself, but I would personally pass. That is just a bit too much for me. One reason being that it would probably add a lot the weight of the doll, but really, just the fact that I would probably never ever see it! I mean, insides are inside so.....I wonder how I'd ever even see all this work inside. Also that might interfere with stringing too no...?

But anyway, too much for me. *laughs*

 

I don't care for the idea much myself. I just think that it would make them cost even more *gasp* and for something you can't really use or see

 

There are actually dolls with heartbeats? I think that would creep me out. Then I'd get used to always hearing it beating (I imagine it would sound a bit like a clock and the ticking of a closk used to relax me and help me sleep) and then one day it would stop and I'd be like "omg it's dead! ....wait a minute...)

But further on topic, I don't think I'd want organs for my BJD. I'd be intrigued to see someone else's doll with organs, but it's just not for me.

 

I'm assuming they were talking about dolls with jointed penises so you could make them erect if you wanted to. I forget which companies had them. I wanna say maybe DragonDoll and/or Unoa? I think there was a U name that had em, anyway. But I forget. I've only seen a couple pics of them. It may be for realism's sake, but honestly what kinds of shoots are you taking where you need an erect penis in the shot? Makes em too much like hentai dolls, in my opinion. I wouldn't want one. People would think I was some sort of pervert.

Umm this is on topic cuz I'm saying that realism just for realism's sake isn't necessarily a good thing.

So my question is, would you ever make internal organs for your dolls, or buy a doll that came with them?

I would love to put some Build a Bear Workshop satin heart or there heart beat recording thing in my ABJD. That would be all though!

 

While it would be really really cool to see, I think when it came to actually doing anything to them, they would just get in the way. The idea seems cool, but practically.. eh...
