1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

IoS UNITOT mature minis

Apr 3, 2021

    1. I’m wondering besides official Unitot clothing, can they fit anything else? What else can they wear?

I recently got a Unitot Sezz. For any other owners, did you find yours kicky with CrazyLegs? I’d straighten his legs out and they’d snap into some weird knee-folded position.

I’ll be visiting a friend near the end of the month and we’ll be attempting to restring him. I’ll take copious photos and give thoughts on the restringing process. I actually have already tried to restring him once but my pictures are poor lighting and quality.

I’ll warn you this. The hole/channels in the leg parts for the elastic are only about as wide as a single piece of elastic going through, and yet they folded the elastic in half so two portions of elastic side-by-side are pulled through there. The elastic, folded, gets stuck in each channel and you have to pull it out with brute force! No stringing tool can fit down in.

In the Unitot doll box, there was a small ziplock baggy with golden thread inside. I couldn’t figure out what it was for, then it hit me; what if it’s the only thing you can use to help you pull the elastic through all the parts?! That’s what I ended up using, that golden thread.

Other owners, have you investigated the inside of your Unitot? What did you think? If you haven’t, you should.

    2. I recently ordered Asyd but don't expect him for a while. What size elastic did they use? Could you use smaller elastic?

    3. That’s what me and a friend are thinking, use a smaller elastic. She has some for us to try out and I’ll report my findings here.

    4. I don't have a UNITOT (yet) but the various websites tell me that their body measurements are almost identical to the Fairyland Chicline boy, which means that they are somewhat close to the Fairyland Minifee boy. They can therefore most likely wear clothing and shoes meant for Minifee boys, unless that clothing is super tight or super loose.

Additionally, this means that they are able to wear clothing and shoes made for Tonner dolls like Matt O'Neill.

This doesn't extend to wigs - the UNITOT takes a 6-inch wig, which is larger than most mature minis and smaller than the Minifee. :)

    5. I did compare the measurements to a 19in Tonner and I am hoping they can wear the clothes well!

    6. OH MY GOSH! Thank you! We’ll see what works!

    7. Ooh, the new skull headed dolls in this range! I've been eyeballing the preview pictures of the cat skull since they came out last year as I have a cat skeleton character I want to shell. I was expecting it to be for the lager sized doll like the other skull heads so it's nice surprise it's on their new smaller range as I prefer YOSD/ MSD size.
The only downside is that it's a shame they're not selling the skull head separately or have a female Unitot body as my character is female. Haha, it's alway a pain when the perfect head comes along but the body isn't right :sweat

    8. welp. fab skull heads being sold separately of body, i'm lost again in a sea of resin...
it's Capris for me.... if they make him in 1/3+ i'll pass out in happiness.... and then he will already have a mini-me

@Epicari - Catis is so beautiful too, did you decide about her?

    9. i'm glad one of the skull heads might work for you too :) For some reason I thought they had the goat skull in their class 70 line but I think I was mentally muddling it up with the bull one :sweat

Honestly I was thinking i'd have to pass on Catis due to the unexpectedly high pricing and body issue but now IoS has decided to sell the skulls separately then I'll definitely be getting one :dance

    10. I am wondering this as well!! It would be great if Unitot fit in with them even a bit-my aGatti boys are just under 6in. and look okay with Dollshe Fashion. I'm wondering if they just rounded up when stating the head size. :| Could someone measure, please? :whee:

I had asked on their Insta before release if they would sell the skull heads separately and they said no, but I am glad they changed that! I really like the deer skull. <3

    11. I restrung my Unitot with thinner stringing and boy did it make a difference! He's much more natural in moving and posing and it's not the pain it was to pull a joint apart and see the string not go back in. I highly recommend you restring your Unitots with thinner string. It worked a treat!

    12. Curious how they look next to an Iplehouse FID myself. Does anyone here know?
Would they fit the clothes for FIDs?

    13. They are shorter than the FIDs. I have both and I will try to take a picture.

    14. Not remotely. I also have an FID and a Unitot. They look like big brother to little brother or uncle to nephew, in size difference. The FID clothes would swallow a Unitot, and not in the cute "tee-hee, I'm wearing my boyfriend's clothes!" way. I'll do some FID clothing swap photos to show how they fit. Even some MSD clothing is still too big for Unitot, and not in a flattering or boyfriend-wear way.

    15. I'm still interested in more comparison photos, such as Unitot next to FID or Raccoondoll or SartoriaJ :)

    16. If you can wait until August 17th, I might be able to provide all those comparisons, as I own an FID and a friend of mine owns a Raccoon Doll, FID, and also possibly a SartoriaJ!

    17. I have a Unitot and other dolls. I will try to get some pictures.

    18. Thank you both :3nodding:

    19. I finally decided on a body for my Catis skull and settled on a Charm Doll body. It's finally arrived so i'm one step closer to shelling my anthro skelly-kitty! :celebrate

I also have an old pair of DC jointed hands and tried one on. It seems to fit okay so my plan is to paint them to look skeletal to match the head. The planned outfit will cover a lot of the body so the hands are going to be the main things visible :thumbup

    20. I keep going back and looking at the Artis head now that they are available again. I don't have a character in mind for it though, I just think it's cool and would be fun to paint. That is often my downfall in this hobby. lol
