I finally painted my Unitot Sezz. I wanted him to have a very young look, so I studied photos of my nephews around 11-12 years old, and my son who is only 8 years old. It's my first try at painting someone to look deliberately child-like. I think it worked well, I'm happy with the result. Unitot Sezz Faceup by Skyealloway, on Flickr
I just got the notice that my tan Sezz has shipped (with all his stuff)! It took IoS about six months from the time of order, which is a bit on the longer side but not unusual for a BJD company. Now I will need to find him some eyes and make arrangements for a faceup and all that stuff.
My Sezz plopped onto my porch this afternoon! Holy cow but his bodily engineering is impressive. All these little graduated ridges and things to ensure that I can put his body in a position and it'll just... stay there. The sculpting is as lovely as always. Super quick and dirty snapshot. I like the wig, too, but the thing sheds like mad and will need a firm washing before I use it for real! I also put him on the shelf next to my Chiclines to take a quick comparison shot, since they're the only other mature minis I own: As I suspected, his head and neck are big enough to make him look odd next to them, although his body is almost exactly the same size. That does, however, mean that Chicline, Minifee, Tonner Matt O'Neill, and similar clothing and shoe brands will fit the UNITOT pretty well. I wiggled one of the UNITOT sneakers onto a Chicline foot and it fit very well, so the reverse is also true!
I am seriously considering an Artis of my very own. Is the body really as good at posing at it looks? Has anyone has ever modded a unitot body to be unisex or more feminine?
I can't speak for the poseability of the Unitot body, as my Artis is on a Resinsoul body, but a note if you decide to hybrid instead of mod-the neck hole is pretty small, and you'll likely need to pick up a smaller S hook to make it fit, as the small top, wide bottom S hooks are a no go. The neck may need sanding as well, depending on the thickness.

I think the UNITOT body poses very well! It has these little resin 'shelves' hidden on the inside that help lock the body into various poses. Also the sculpting is fabulous, but IOS sculpting always is. My poor Sezz has come back from being painted but I haven't had a moment to reassemble him yet. Holidays, grf.
Just got in an order for Shadow, Sezz, and ASYD while that 50% off is going on! Couldn't pass the chance to nab those boys for such a good deal. So excited for them to arrive!!
i caved on this last day of sale like a house of cards and did a full unitot with Capris. i am really wanting to see what this little guy can do the posing seems really flexible. Capris is my favourite little fellow, and if they ever chose to make him in 1/3 i'd probably fall over myself on the buy button for a platoon of his head so he could hold court with Raul. IOS really has the keys to my heart with the skeleton crew.
Yay for more skeleton dolls! These little fellows are great and I can't wait for everyone to get theirs and see what you will make out of them!
Curious if anyone who ordered during the sale back in Jan has gotten their dolls yet? I checked in back in July and they said production would finish the 24th and ship out the 26th but never got a tracking number and my order still says preparing when I go to look.
