1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse B.I.D. Baby discussion part 9

Jul 7, 2016

    1. Oh I like these! I have since bought some of the waist-type stands, but they interfere with clothing so much. Thank you! I might get some saddle stands.

Your little girl's outfit is ADORABLE. Did you make it? I'd like to make a little dress like that with set-in sleeves but haven't found a pattern. I might need to make one.

    2. My little still-nameless Bono girl at work with me again today. She likes her new wig (after an extensive haircut)... Another little dress made with @MB Lilac's pattern. I'm mulling over name ideas. My boss has been calling her Piper.

    3. All my little ones have been attending art classes (six per class) This group drew portraits of their favourite stuffies...

    4. What talented kids! What a talented dolly momma, that art studio is incredible!

    5. I did not make this outfit but I do sew for my BID girls using patterns to fit the Tonner Ann Estelle and Patsy 10 inch dolls. Look on Ebay and Etsy for patterns.

    6. Amazing details and full of color! Each student's drawing of their favorite stuffed animal was an added touch of genius. I always love to see your photos.

    7. My goodness ! All the lovely colors in this and the variety of dolls. They are all so cute !

    8. @Therese52 - Thanks! I actually got my three granddaughters (ages 9-11) and husband, to help with making the drawings, so they wouldn't all look the same.

@PinkBear - Thanks! That's just half my BIDs. The other six also attended art classes, and here's a group shot of them after one of their projects...

    9. @MB Lilac - Oooh the tiny little glue bottles! :XD: Where did you find them or did you make them?

    10. I made the glue bottles out of Sculpey, over a cardboard core. Then photographed the label on a real glue bottle, shrank it, dropped as many of them as I needed onto a page (there are four bottles) and printed them out to glue on.

    11. This might be a long shot, but does anyone have a Bonnie as a boy? I'm thinking about getting that sculpt in special real or light tan as a boy and making him a surfer

    13. OH my lord. He is so cute!! Thanks for sharing those. I never knew these pages even existed haha

    14. when browsing Iplehouse... click on EVERYTHING lol... ya find neat shiz lol... you also learn where to look for stuff 'later' and 'how to hunt the illusive stuff. That being said atm some of the iple pages are kinda messed up lol hopefully they get it all tidy again.

    15. @1234back Yes I do!! check out my Flickr, I have quite a few pics of him. I usually just keep the sculpt name, but I call him "Bobbie"
He's in nPG resin with I think Bonnie face up B. He poses so easily and nicely and is the only boy in my collection. I couldn't be happier with him.

    16. Oh my lord. He is so CUTE. I'm so happy with my choice now. I just hope I can get his face up to look how I imagine it. My mother and I just placed the order last week so it'll be some time still, but I'll be sure to post pictures when I get him~

    17. Can anyone help me find places that sell 4cm shoes? I can't find any shoes for my Iplehouse B.I.D Aki.

    18. Unfortunatelly, I can't be of much help regarding first hand experience with buying shoes for the little ones since I made my own shoes for my BID, but I think generally people tend to use Etsy or Ebay a lot. Oh, and I know of Releaserain shop for example (Doll Shoes - Yo-SD BJD, 12" Kish - Page 1 - Releaserain). Anyway, I am sure someone will come along who can be of more help. Good luck shopping! :-)

And by the way, Iplehouse has just released previews of a new type of BID body: Q-type ("cute" type)! It is in the Iple BJD section. Looks good, but they redid the neck and head attachment, which probably means no use of the new body for older BID sculpts :-(

    19. I can't say I like the new body. It's going the same direction as the new JID body, which is so much like the KID body, with very narrow shoulders and wide hips. I do like that they've changed the neck joint though, since it means we should be able to order KID heads on the BID body.

I wonder if they will change the old neck and head joint while they are at it, or leave them just as they are? If they leave the old neck joint as is, that means only new BID sculpts can be ordered on the new body, and not any of the older ones.

    20. I like that there is again more variety with the bodies. Not that I plan to have more BIDs, but still ;-) Though I admit that the quite a lot narrower shoulders of the new body may make the little ones look too bobble-headed...

I wondered too. It would be great if they could come up with some practical solution. If they just adjust the older sculpts to fit the new body, then the old body will be useless, which I think is not their plan (I bet they are going in the "types" direction: regular body type and "cute" body type).
