Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.       Anyways, in response to your speculation, elfmoon, I quite disagree. Mars and Lion are definitely not the same head mold. XD; Similar maybe because it's an Iplehouse doll, but I dont think they're the same. I think Mars look like he's related closely to Tania and Tatiana than Lion.

      Also, these dolls, Iplehouse Lion and Mars are Iplehouse dolls, not Soom.

    5. I think they call him model because he has the model body, not the muscular? Also, his face is meant to be asexual, according to the description. He is LOVELY but I am having a hard time deciding between him and the gorgeous fullset Barron they have up right now. He is 43cm? I can't believe it!

    7. I did notice the Tatiana resemblence. Very similar face shape, small nose and expression. I think they would make a very believable brother and sister or father and daughter.

      Too bad about having no news of the Basic release. I'm sure it probably will happen, though... maybe around the time my Soom layaways are paid off. :sweat

    9. For true asexuality, the IP girl neck would have to be just a tad wider in circumference for a pefect fit.

      He has the look of Lion, but with slightly fuller cheeks and an Abadon chin. Definitely in the IP-artist family style.

      Not really caring for the raggedly outfit, though.

    11. When I looked at the company information earlier, I thought it said he was 63cm or so, but looking again, I can't find it. I was going to get a barron, but if Mars' basic version looks good and he's msd sized... I don't know...

    12. According to the photo he is a 'Young Iplehouse Doll.' That means that he should be 63cm. The 43cms are Junior Iplehouse Dolls and the upcoming 70cms are Elder Iplehouse Dolls.

      No, not the same... Lion has an even squarer chin, and much sharper cheekbones & nose. But Mars definitely has the Lion-and-Cocori family mouth: it's a curvy feline smirk. :kitty2: The smirk was what caught my attention about this boy... Gawd! He's lovely!! He's definitely a mishmash of his big brothers' & sisters' & cousins' faces, though, that's for sure. At first glance, I thought he was like a softer, less-angry Soo Ri, but with Ryushin's nose & Lion's lips. ^^ But you can also see the relation to Freezia & Silvia and the girls, too.

      I too thought he was a mini at first, until I noticed they'd started calling the big boys 'Young'. So Young = 63cm (and you probably get a choice of Muscle or Model body types when it's time to order). Then our new Mr. Mars is a tall, pretty metro-boy supermodel, with a nice strong chin and a lacy muffler around his neck. <3 I LOVE the simultaneously-butch-and-femme outfit, too... the trashed-up jeans vs the pretty blouse, the stompy boots vs the fluffy shojo-manga-hero haircut. If we're to believe his backstory, he's a French model who has nothing but cynical laughter for those who spend too much time speculating about his home life and trying to start scandals about him. :D

      But I am going to be predictable here: Must! Wait! For! Tan! Release!! :aheartbea I'm not crazy about the pink mouth, and besides, no matter HOW gorgeous their NS/WS dolls are, they always look even more stunning in tan resin. *sigh* And here I am already, still waiting for Barron or Ryushin to go under the tanning bed first...! :blush I will bide my time.

      (Also biding my time till the JID boys come out! *boing* Cannot wait to see them!)


      I'm of the belief that there's no such THING as a 'bad impulse buy' from Iplehouse. As soon as you open that box, he will be so much more beautiful than even those stock-photos imply, that you will immediately be unable to think of your house without him.

      Anyway, if the choice is between 'pretty' and 'rugged', then I don't think there is any in-between area where Mars is concerned, to begin with: Ruggedness is NOT his strong suit. ;D
