Yep, they did post a "notice" they would be closed for almost a week because of holiday. They will "be back" up and running, no worries.

 

I'll admit - I emailed Dolk and Raccoondoll. I was honestly worried - not about dolls, but about the people. Nancy at Dolk reminded me that it's a week of Korean holidays. So they're all probably at home, blissfully unaware. Frankly, I'm cool with that. As long as everyone's safe, dolls can wait, right?

 

It worried me too, but I also got worried about my doll plans as the character that I want to base Falcon on, have become so dear to me, that I can't imagine not getting to order him. His future husband Andrei is waiting for him



It would be a punch to my heart if they can't be together Andrei is my most precious doll

Not the best image but I hate using the flash on my camera because his hair shines and look way to glossy when I do.


I do have a backup plan though if I for some reason would not be able to order Falcon, Impl Doll Idol - Garza would work well too. Only downside is he's not 74-75cm.

 

Thank you Robin for the information. I haven't been to the Iplehouse site in quite some time and I really had no idea what had heppened to them. I forgot about the holidays and I thank you.

 

I bought wendy vampire last year and Grace vampire this year. I’m glad they bring them back because I can’t afford to buy them all at once.

I'm logged in right now, but what happened gave me a scare so I have to try save up for Falcon as fast as I can. It'll probably still take months to do as Christmas is coming up soon, but I'll try my best!

 

I've been looking at a Dollmore Model Doll F - Jenna, and I really like that sculpt and am thinking of hybriding it. Not on an Iplehouse body, but having this sculpt being a part of my Iple family I think would have been pretty cool. I have a big weakness for sculpts that show teeth

IpleHouse and Dollmore

I have not really found anything but this image. It's the difference in size between the Iplehouse and the Dollmore heads that are my biggest concern. But I don't think it look bad in this image.


I'm just curious if anybody else have some Dollmore SDs alongside their Iplehouse dolls, and how well you think they go together?

 

So Dollmore Model F head openings are a wee bit smaller than Iplehouse. The head is definitely proportional, but you would need to sand down the Iplehouse neck. Dollmore heads are like FeePle65 - faceplate style - so "opening up" a Dollmore head is... not really possible. It perches nicely on everything. It just looks kinda weird.

Editing to add: some Model F heads are faceplate style. Others (Mary Louise) are headcap style. I do not pretend to understand the logic behind this.

 

on their website, I have never seen one, and I don't know of one done by anybody personally.

 

I understand, it were just a thought because I have a body at home I could have tried it on. I'm just going to put that thought on the shelf for now though as I got a HID Falcon to focus on and a Supia Hamin. Might as well buy a full Dollmore Jenna or Keeley Sum if it comes to that later.

I have this photo of Dalton, EID Rex and Grayson, Dollmore Lilis Liv on Glorydoll body. Grayson looks tiny, is a more anime sculpt and looks much younger than Dalton but has a gravitas to hold her own against his permanent frown. They’re not a couple but I could imagine them bickering all the time.

Lilis Liv is one of my favourite Dollmore sculpts. I had one years ago. It were in ws and had half closed eyes. Every now and then it's really tempting to get her again in normal skin, but I'm unsure if I really should as I have to be careful with the doll choices I make now.

I always worry how certain sculpts would look next to my Iplehouse dolls. My Luts Sweety Bliss for example would not fit in with my current Iplehouse dolls, so he belongs in his own group. I feel the difference in face sculpt and size is too big. But your Lilis Liv actually look really cool next to that larger man

 

Here's a photo I did a day or two ago with my Iplehouse SID Eva (body current as of 2014, I think there was an older body and there has become a newer body) and my Dollmore Model Doll Leah Cox from 2009. Both of them are on high heels with high heel feet, but note that Dollmore high heel feet are remarkably high. I didn't take this photo for purposes of comparison, but you can see a height difference here. Leah is on a stand, but the base is pretty thin.

Thank you so much, this is really great I'm a long time Dollmore fan, and lately I've been wondering how well and Iplehouse and Dollmore dolls fit together. My focus have been on finishing getting the IH male sculpts I needed. But I always meant to get some SD ladies as well into my collection. Your girls look amazing together

I think hybriding heads are not necessary after all, having just a full Dollmore Model Doll F alongside my IH dolls I see works just fine. And I love how tall Leah is in comparison to Eva. I can really see myself getting a tall female character like that as well I like the tanned Keely Sum a lot though because she reminds me of Coco from Fame.

I haven't figured out quite what Dollmore sculpt to go for, but that will have to be something for future me to think about, as right now I still have to finish saving up for an ebony skin HID falcon.

While the mega legginess of Dollmore Model Doll women is a departure from what Iplehouse does with their sculps, I've found pairing Model Doll Leah with SID Eva to make quite the photogenic couple. Having seen Leah next to my nYID and EID dolls, she still seems like a natural part of the scene. It also helps that there is some degree of crossover in clothing between Model Doll and some Iplehouse mature SD sculpts, though EID is mostly in a category of its own with how full-bodied of a woman she is.

I hope you find a Model Doll that you like They're so lovely. I looked up tan Keely Sum, and she is wonderful! I was scrolling down the page and thought to myself "she looks nice but I bet she would look nicer with a darker wig" and then they put a darker wig on her further down the page I especially love the parted lips. They're so perfect for kissing!!!

(PS: Take a look at Leah! I adore this sculpt, and so few people have her. I think I could count on one hand the amount of people I know of that have or had a Leah over the last 15 years.)

 

Hello, I would like to ask for some hybriding advise. Does somebody know if Switch's milk tea rose and Iplehouse's peach gold are a decent match? Unfortunately, I was unable to find any resin comparison on IG, Flickr, etc. Google search also didn't get me any further. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

 

No, they don't match, in my opinion. I'm out of town right now, so I can't take a picture, but milk tea rose is a somewhat cool tone while peach gold is warm.

 

Leah is very pretty, and she really fit that long legged model type But I only know I'd love to have at least one Model Doll F, at the moment. It'll be a while before I get to order one, but I'm very tempted to make it the next thing I do after my HID Falcon. But thanks so much for the post. What worried me were not the body size, but how does the head size compare to an Iplehouse SD head size. Like for example, my Luts and Dream of Doll dolls could never live in the same world as my Iplehouse dolls. They just look way too different and their head size would stand very much out in comparison.

But I'm very happy to see that your girls look very good together. Mixing dolls together from 2 of my favourite companies would be awesome
