It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Iplehouse Discussion (YID, nYID, SID, EID, HID) Part 14

May 29, 2024

    1. Looks like Iplehouse got their issue with the main page solved! :)

I also managed to get my Iple siblings together in their adult forms and took a photo (is clicky link if pic is broken!):

    5. @luluna , @MrFjmg2003 , & @Quiet and Insane : Thank you! They were surprisingly cooperative when trying to stand them together. (I think refreshing the hot glue sueding in their ankles helped ;))

    8. Popping in~ I'll add pictures when I take them but.

Many years ago I bought an EID Akando and an SID Eva (with the circus makeup). I sold them because they were impossible to dress and their joints annoyed me.

Skip forward to 2020 and I have a Caleb (sid) and JID Tania. Caleb is awesome, I got the model body because it has the better ankles. I wanted the beefcake body for the character but being able to pose was more important. He also fits better in most clothes. ALMOST fits in his old SD13(? Early senior self) size shirts. Bottoms are a hard no due to that leg length.

JID girly is on the old body. Modified (drilled holes in her torso) to pose okay. Ankles were weak. So I swapped her onto a Myou new type 2 body in normal yellow. It's not a match since my Tania is ancient (like ten years now?) but the posing is great and the body looks great in almost all her old clothes. Almost as some I tailored for her and yeah. Gotta re-fix them.

I bought a 2nd hand YID Mari from 2022 and she fits my old SID Eva's clothing great. Haven't had much luck finding her heels or shoes yet but she came with a couple pairs fortunately. Still crap ankles, but I'll deal with that because she's just beautiful.

Before I got my Mari, I impulse bid on the nYid Ray over on iples auction page and promptly panicked after realizing what shipping would be. Not wanting the hit on my auction profile I sucked it up and paid for him.
I have no idea what to do with him now I cannot find a wig I like on him, and his eyes are impossibly hooded so getting anything to show up there is not my strong suit. Good news is his ankles are amazing and even floppy and straight out of the box he can stand? Anyone got ideas on what I should do with him?

      ETA: depression shopping is. DANGEROUS

    9. Panic buying or not, Ray was already made and had been waiting for a while for an owner. You picked him because you either were looking for something or you connected with him in some way. Give yourself time to reflect on some of the reasons why and you'll be stronger. Maybe he inspired you, or you thought you can make him shine. Everything can't be fixed in a week. I suggest taking some photos of him, for yourself. Then taking some more, if you are thinking of asking for advice or opinions.

I understand the difference of buyer's remorse because "I made a stupid or ill informed decision" and "this doll did not look like what I dreamt about". I have an OT-mjd which the seller didn't inform me was damaged and I can't forgive that seller (sell was on another website, btw). The other doll, Maria, I had problems with her out of the box when she shouldn't of had any problems. She needed a few changes and I tried to sell her. I did not want surprise projects, my first year, you know.
The problems with both of those dolls were fickle. But, in my head, Maria was something worth saving. I said "oh no, I'm not sure" once I got photos of her. But, once I received her opened the box, my brain went, "I think she needs...".
So, maybe the memory of you opening the box, versus what you think of him now, might help. I also had a weird thing that while Maria was next to me, I had to be actively trying to save her. That is another reason for taking the photos. You probably know if you've been thinking "Is he worth trying to save?" versus "Forget it".
Do your personal photos tell you, I saw something worth buying?

    11. That is such wonderful advice I think a big ooft was both Mari and Ray arrived the same day (funny but unfortunate), so the one I really wanted (a pretty SD girl) took all of my enthusiasm.

Still, do you have any suggestions for styling a dark brown skinned doll? I've tried the one black wig I have on him, on, but it doesn't suit. Maybe I can get my hands on some mohair, but what color eyes?
All of my other dolls are characters I've had for 15+ years and bought with that shelling intention. I'm not creative enough in this regard

Still, I should give him his own time. Thank you!! I do want to fix him up. There's been beautiful dark skinned dolls with gold blushing floating around and as I just finished arcane in a little in love with some of the tattoos and styling in that.

    12. @MrFjmg2003 - What a great photo! Love that sweater :D

@Hellsing365 - some time and experimentation might help! I have a few darker toned dolls, but only a few right now in the range of Iple's current light and dark browns. I have an Akando in 2010's light brown, and I originally had him with black hair and equally dark eyes. I'm going to be experimenting with changing him into a silver fox once I get him put back together. I have a non-Iple doll with darker resin that I gave royal blue hair and gold eyes. It's by far one of my favorite combos. I have another non-Iple doll that I gave orange hair and brown eyes. And the doll in my avatar is somewhere between Iple Real Skin and Light Brown, I have a very light gray/white wig on her. Definitely try to have fun with it! :)

    13. I love that you do this  I do the same thing, too.

It's been so long since I posted in one of these topics. Everyone has some nice dolls and some nice thoughts about their larger Iplehouse dolls :)

Here's a recent one of my beloved SID Eva, which is also a clicky link!

    14. Happy New Year!

My Mari arrived on December 31, and I've already got her booked for a faceup and am working on some clothing for her. :3nodding:

On the same day, I also received my order of hand options. There are few options for YID girls, but thankfully the SID woman hands fit nicely enough. Here's my Bliss trying one of them out:

    15. Congrats on your new Mari! I hope her faceup turns out even more beautiful than you hoped for :) And that's a great photo of Bliss. I was actually thinking about different hands on body sculpts recently. That SID hand looks great on your YID Bliss.

    16. Hi! Newbie here. It's so interesting to hear that Sartoria J, Raccoon Doll, and Iple House are related because these are the main brands I'm eyeing for that mature realistic sculpt!

I've placed SID Vampire Countess Wendy into my cart but I'm still on the fence about her. I see other dolls on Iple House that are serving the "goth queen" aesthetic that I see in their promo photos, but the inclusion of the outfit or option to purchase the doll with the outfit don't seem to be there...

So my question is, were the dolls in their promo pictures used to come with the outfits and are currently discontinued or sold out? Or were they never sold to begin with?

      • x 2
    17. If you're looking at the ones in the limited edition categories, then the outfits were offered as part of the original release. Rarely, a limited outfit is offered again when IH rereleases some LE dolls, or as an extra option when you buy a doll through Doll Choice, but that seems to only happen if the original stock didn't sell out. The outfits seen in the basic categories were usually sold separately, but many of them are no longer available. Sadly, IH doesn't seem to be releasing much new in recent years, since multiple artists moved on.

    18. Ah, I see. I figured it was something like that.. And as beautiful as Countess Wendy is, I'm sure that money would better go towards my holy grail doll. USD price tag is not cheap. Thanks for answering my question!

    19. @sageyufi - You're welcome! The one suggestion I can make is to keep an eye on Sartoria J (whom I've long suspected was the designer for IH's outfits, but have never asked them to confirm it), because they do release new outfits on a fairly regular basis. Once you get Marketplace access, you could try putting up a want-to-buy thread if there's a specific outfit you really want too. Good luck finding what you want!

    20. Congratulations @Quirked on Mari's arrival. The hand option looks great in this shot of Bliss...fun to use the different hands!
