I'm getting weaker. I'm starting to plot how I can do this during the special ed. sales period. Not good. So not good. And poor SD Lester keeps getting pushed back because of limited dolls. First Logan, limited to 25 and mine will be in the 20-24 range (there were two left at last notice), and now Arvid taunting me in that RS. I can't count on taxes. I have no idea if I'll even owe. Which is one reason I should wait. Gak! Not like I can't do what I'm plotting during a CDS period. Or to a basic if I like him in NS. I should run my tax numbers. Not looking forward to the mess, but it'd let me know where I stand on that score at least.

For the layaway, I just check out like I normally would and then paypal them 1/3 of the price? I don't understand how it works. I don't even see a layaway option.

 

You check out as normal, but, yes, pay them at least 1/3 the price. You then reference your order number in a message on the Q&A board (you have to be a member/create a log in first) saying you're doing layaway and you've made the first payment. The FAQ page on layaway is here.

HOWEVER, keep in mind that any doll that's on sale during the discount period is not available for layaway. The CDS is never available for layaway. The only dolls right now that you can use layaway with are the lmited editions and Elemental Guardians (which, naturally, aren't on discount).

I ordered Arvid after the day he was released
I was searching for a more masculine Doll a few weeks and never found the right one, I liked some of the other IpleHouse E.I.Ds and S.I.Ds but none of their face sculpts were 100% for me, but Arvid so IS! He has the perfect balance between beautiful and masculine/handsome.

Can't wait to have him home!

I ordered him in special real skin, without the clothes(I'm not a big western fan) but with the boots

 

I want him so bad..;_; But I dont know if I'd rather wait until/if they release him in basic.

 

IH said they'd release him in basic. It's a matter of thinking he looks absolutely dreamy in RS and not wanting to wait to pay $50 more via CDS with no layaway option.

 

Yea, that's true...now you can do a layaway (for cheaper)....later on CDS you can't.
I put one in my cart...just to pretend.

 

I've got one in my cart too..............just trying to decide if I want to go ahead and order him now so I can do the lay a way, or wait and order him through the custom system so I can get the strongman arms. Decisions, decisions...............sigh............

 

Totally - I want to bring this guy into the collection (in brown, although I wish we could see a photo of him in that colour first) but the clothes are keeping me from going through with it yet. I love the coat, but I'm not quite so taken with the rest of the outfit. To buy, or not to buy?

 

Jackie, you know when you see pictures of mine, you're going to regret not getting him. But I did order the Model body for mine and not the Super Hero.

 

Yeah..I want him in NS so you can still do layaway on basic tho. Not that I ever do layaway..but in the event that I do want to. I might save my tax refund and buy him in basic when they come out.

 

LOL! Here we all are with our carts full of resin! It's so hard sometimes to know the best way to go...those strongman arms are nice though......and so is the layaway.

 

I was just talking today about building carts. Building computers, cars. Even if I found I'm getting a small refund (it's always small except for the housing credit last year), there are a couple of other things coming up this year that it could/should go towards. Man, why is a good sugar daddy so hard to find.

Oh the lamenting I've done that it's not the case, kaourika. IH doens't sell through other retailers iether, retialers wo often have more generous layaways.

So somehow my AMEX payments got off and it's like I'm behind a payment even though I'm really not. Whch means a bigger payment to get it back on track. {sigh} Had to buy light fixtures for ahome improvement project (long story), and you knwo you can't get out of Loew's for less than a couple of Bennies. Property taxes are coming due for the OH condo and somehow my tax stash has dwindled. I was going to start my fed taxes tonight, then realized that I haven't received my W2 from the OH job. Know they were mailed and they have my new address. Oy. I could do something, but until I know I won't owe the feds I want to hold that pat. It ain't looking too good for Arvid right now. Maybe I'll go ahead and run the numbers without. As I think back, that's only like two weeks worth of pay because I was moving in Jan to start the new job Feb. 1, so it shoudl make a ton of difference. Keep your fingers crossed!

 

I finally ordered him. Complete fullset with all the options in RS and model body. I did the three month layaway so it wouldn't hurt so bad.....now for the wait.

 

Azha: hope you get him! He's gorgeous If it's not the right time just order him later on from CDS. At the very least you'll have the doll in real skin if you really want him in that tone. I have to admit, the real skin is GORGEOUS. I love it. But the character I want isn't a dark skin tone like my EID Tedros. I also want another tedros in ns..and an akando yet. >_> Maybe I should sell some of my SDs and make them into EIDs xD
