Congrats, carmen!

OK, so here's how I can work drama for all it's worth. Just ran the taxes. Wouldn't have thunk the job taking both FICA and state retirement would pay back, but it greatly increased my refund. Enough so I could pay for him in RS. However, somewhere in my 30's I apparently developed a financial conscience. Now I'm like, well, yeah, I could buy him, but then I'd miss a chance to pad the savings or not worry about covering some other fun bits down the road. Being responsible bites.

Just shoot me now.

I'll sleep on it; see what my subconscious comes up with. One never drops a grand lightly. Britt, if only I had other things to sell. I was looking at NC Tedros pix on IH. We talk about the changes from batch to batch of the resin. Man, NC Tedros in RS seems a lot more tan. Arvid's tone is warmer.

 

Hm..in IH pics the Tedros does look slightly more tan then the Arvid. ::shrugs::I hope you end up getting him regardless. He's gorgeous.

 

So, I've decided I'm going to order a model-body Arvid, on layaway.

 

LOL! I know how you feel!!! You are right about the skintone. Arvid does seem a lot lighter than Tedros. I hope you come to a decision you feel comfortable with!!!

 

*whimper* Their email announcing the tail end of his sale teases me. So cruel, Iplehouse! There's just no money for this hunk of gorgeous for at least a handful of days to come yet. Ah, well. His sale dates and my pay dates just do not align so well. I'll have to keep an eye out for him on CDS and start refreshing myself on pattern-making.

 

I made peace with the universe. I bought him in RS. On layaway. And I keep reading my confirmation email that the IRS did accept my tax return so I don't feel as much like Wile E Coyote running out of cliff. True to form, I couldn't just get him and come in under my refund amount. Oh no. That'd be too much like right. I got the ltd ed Heuksan warrior outfit too (which makes that light brown Bichun look TDF, but we gotta have limits at some point). While I was married to the gunslinger otufit, he does scream warrior/adventurer to me, so when Ronin gets home, he'll start out on the good foot. I also bought the extra hand parts. Something tells me I'll want them to hold a sword or something one day.

 

Congratulations Azha Nei RS was a good choice!!!! I got the hand parts too!!!

 

I know. LOL. And with Iple's knack for wildly varying tones in their darker resin batches, I figured I better get the hands now so they match. The RS just looks so right on him. His NS will hopefully make up nicely. I get that they make a prototype and use that for the beauty shots, but I wish the studios would go ahead and cast a head in the other resins so folks can see what it looks like. They'd surely get enough initial orders off it to justify the cost of demo heads.

I agree. I have spent an absurd amount of time this week looking at pictures trying to visualize him in light brown skin. I am running out of time and no where near sure of what I want to do, UGH!!!! I have two WS Soom Idealians and a RS Tedros so I am thinking time for a darker guy, BUT is this the one???? Just one picture would be so awesome

 

I feel your pain, Lace. Don't know if this helps at all, but since we've pretty mch agreed Arvid takes part of his lineage from the Tedros sculpt, does seeing him in light brown help? Granted, Iple's darker resins flux in tone batch to batch (Bichun's always seems a bit darker), but overall recent photos show a subtle change between real skin and light brown.

Dream_of_Isi: Which body did you order?
Now I can't make up my mind about that. My Libra indecisiveness is getting the best of me over this guy. I want him to be a "Rouge Native American cowboy", so my mind says he would be muscular. My romantic heart says he should be tall and statuesque. My Tedros has model body so do I do the same or different???? Running off to bang head against wall some-more!!!!!
Any opinions from anyone welcome!

 

Tough decision! I got him with the model body. :b My friend has the superhero body, so after seeing it in person the model bod seems like it will be plenty enough hunk for me to haul around without all that extra resin. LOL.

 

I'm purchasing Arvid in the model-body, because I will already have an Evan in a super-hero body. If I find that either one isn't working, I can always change their heads. So, that's how I came to my decision. Hope you can make up your mind soon... Korea is 24 hours ahead of the US. So you really only have until February 26.

 

Thanks for the help guys! I bit the bullet (well all 33 of them to be exact) and ordered the whole "blanking" mess. Arvid Lt brown super-hero body and every other possible extra on the order sheet. Now I need to figure out how to replace the $500 of my house payment I used to start the "Layawake". Well, one week for that magic trick~

 

Honestly, guys, I 've seen super hero in person and I own a model..I like the veins around the groin area and the less thick Model body. But to each his own. Congrats on everyone ordering their Arvid. I want one, but I'm waiting it out. ^_~
