I agree, his nose is fantastic. I love a doll nose with personality . But then Luo's got that sad furrough to his brow going for him, too.

 

Dang he purdy. I wish these companies would STOP it with the beautiful dolls for just a little while... gimme a chance to catch my breath and get a paycheck under my belt here.

And if it's not the big ones it's the little kill-me-with-your-cute ones. Argh.

Arvid. Hate the name, LOVE the little quirk in his mouth. Abject desire in the worst possible way for that outfit. I'd put it on Higuma (my Tedros). Seriously.

And you know... I could just see taking one of these guys and one of the Soom Vampire Hunters out to Pawnee Buttes and doing a photoshoot... Perfection.

Um, I love everything about him, his face and outfitt, but no money...buaah

 

It's not that I think the cost of the outfit is unreasonable. It's that while I think it's a great outfit, if it's the only thing standing in the way of getting the doll itself or not, the outfit can go. And that amount of money for the outfit is significant. I can get my own costume made for that much. However, for the seamtresses and taliors, I will point out that the hat and the coat are wired, so yeah, if you can swing the clothes, do.

I've asked Iple if it's possible to get a picture of Arvid in NS before the order period is up, and if he'll be available via CDS. We'll see what they say.

I'm not crazy about the name either, but that's why we rename them, no?

I agree with you. PLEASE let us know what he looks like in NS. I want him in real skin...cuz I love real skin..but bc of the price I may settle for NS. I actually may have to wait til he's in basic to get him.but I will be getting him..whether it be now or in the future.

 

Ditto on wanting to see different skin tones! I'm wondering if I should also ask to see the blank head, although Iple did show good pics from different angles. I noticed they changed the 10mm eyes to say 12mm now. That makes more sense.

I'm still trying hard to talk myself out of getting him. It's an uphill battle.

 

Ditto this. *whimper* I look at this guy and start hearing Knights of Cydonia playing in my head. This is not a bad thing.

 

I've been fawning over him so bad that I'm starting to incorporate him into this character world in my head One day baby, you're gonna be MINE.

Isn't it though? I want to get him just to ride off into the sunset with Cuprit on a magic unicorn now. I'm waiting to see what Soom does to us this month before making up my mind, but... caving fast.

 

I know I'm on a losing battle too, but unfortunately my monies would only let me get MSD for now. You can bet as soon as the CDS pops up for him, I would be first in line ^_^

 

How often do they do the CDS?

 

I find him an interesting option as a full-set, and that's an expensive option, otherwise I'm not really into him since the most important part of he's personality it's the cowboy look...even so, I like him much more over the other latest releases of the factory (I'm talking about "Elemental Guardians")...but that's just my taste.

 

Not sure how long it would be between the end of the LE and the CDS, I'd say at least 3 months away

 

Iplehouse just keeping knocking 'em out! They are such a superb company. His outfit is amazing, but I prefer the faces of some of their other EID hunks. Thank Lucifer for that or I'd be in trouble; I'm saving up for a real skin Soo or Asa and I only have the willpower of a demented gnat.

 

He really is yummy. But no way Í can swing this now.

However, I do not see him on a magic unicorn...but on a good quarter galloping into the sunset. The cowboy just needs other boots.

 

More like a Percheron, if you ask me (yes, she is a silly Baakay). But absolutely.

I've never been so tempted to buy someone based on photo ops before. I mean this area is LOADED with ultra-perfect old-West type spots that would just lend themselves to the "off in the sunset" idea.

And I don't even DO photoshoots very often!

But... not this time around. Too many big expenses recently and in the near future to afford him. But it still makes a pretty thing to think about!

 

Got my reply. I think they're knocking out a lot of the queries before they go off for New Year's.

-They don't have a NS head made up at this time and aren't planning to post one right now
-He will be released as basic and CDS. It actually says "basic or custom doll later," but I think it's the challenging English at work

They also mentioned it'd be cheaper to get him in RS during the ltd ed period. No duh. For the doll and face up I think it's $50 less, but better that when you can afford it than not. I think I'll just have to wait. Maybe he'll be one of the rare dolls I like in both RS and NS and he won't cost as much in normal. I've replied asking if they'd ever consider a longer layaway plan in teh future (without the penality fee).

Timing wise, Felix just was released in basic in Dec? He's not on CDS yet, unless he's added for Feb.
