Iplehouse EID Fashion Show/What Fits?

Jun 15, 2009

    1. It's obvious I've not learned my lesson but I recently order this stool from LUTS on a GO. They also sell it at Nine9. Will post pics when it arrives.

    2. Good find on the chairs and table, particularly table. Those are difficult to track down.

Chairs are a lot easier, but you need to be vigilant. Scour eBay for "doll chair" or "bear chair". The scale is determined by the floor to seat height, which needs to be approximately the length from bottom of the foot to the back of the knee, so about 8-8.5 inches for EIDs. Most sellers will measure for you, if you ask. I have managed to nab quite a few in the right scale over the years and have never paid a fortune for them. Tops, about ยฃ20 (c $30).

ETA: dollswest, I didn't see your posts. Thanks so much for those patterns. Those trousers look 1:1. Great cut and fit. Not my girls' style, but they will be so useful for many, I am sure. I will certainly make use of the pencil skirt pattern, though.

    3. Took pictures and some measurements of the chair. It really is 21cm and there's enough space for him to wear shoes. His feet is actually not touching the floor.

    4. lol I bought the LUTS SSDF chairs... waaaaaay too tall. those LUTS boys have stupid long legs lol. Some day I might try the next size down ;p but your wood seat and ironwork chairs are so cute! I am a bad judge of chair fit since I myself have never fit them ... except the 1950's "hostess" chairs, they fit me perfectly.

    5. Serious? Dang! :| Maybe I can saw some length off the leg? We'll see how bad it is when it gets here.
I was also going to get the SSDF ladder chair but by the time the GO leader went to place orders, it had already sold out. Those things are hot! Now I'm thinking maybe it was a good idea I didn't get it. I have a feeling my boy's bum would probably get stuck.

    6. Not 'fashion' but regards 'fit to EID's' ^^ This is my EID Luna and my headless EID (model) man sitting in the LUTS SSDF ladder chairs. You would think they'd fit but nope... with the man I put on leg with the knee joint pulled out for any extra length... still no dice. There are several more shots if you follow the stream in flicker... I didn't have a tape measure but a can of tuna (in another pic) is used like a foot rest and shows relative size/height. Technically you could saw off the legs but the wood is very soft you would have to be careful & I would want to add more cross bar supports further up the legs, but totally doable for anyone handy ^^.

    7. oh man....I guess I'm kind of glad that it ran out before I threw away some more money?

here's a picture of the Bambicrony bench I took a while back. It's rather small for him.

    8. that would be a perfect fit to a JID wouldn't it? What size did you 'order' from them... I might just like one if it fits a JID lol I did find one like that for my EID size (like only about 5 mm to rest feet on floor unless you endlessly fuss with the legs/feet for the men)... ladies are a tad more too short but not bad if in heel feet... It doesn't look out of proportion but more like how most ppl fit them lol. I will have to find out where the girl who sold it to me found it...

with my EID luna, EID model body and a SoulDoll zenith (ignore the one leg, I forgot to fix his knee so his foot set down) Luna's one foot can almost rest on the base of the doll stand next to her so just a hair more than 5 mm off the floor?

    9. oh wow~~that bench is just perfect. Would love to know where your seller got it from! And I love how all your dolls evolve around your one headless god in that picture! :XD: And despite not having a head, still looks like he owns everything! haha

As for that Bambicrony bench....if you go to this link. The pictures at the bottom shows (clockwise) SD17, MSD, YOSDs, and SD13??
JIDs are around MSD size, no? It would fit her pretty good.
Basically, it fits all the normal dolls...just not beefy giants. :|

I was surfing our local ebay and came across this seller who does orders for these sofas. needless to say my eyes lit up and the gears in my brain started churning again. I just don't learn. I really like that recliner though, and at 81cm long, that's a good length!!

    10. that's Dexter for ya!lol... and ya everyone in the club has gone 'online' silent... prolly classes/work but when she resurfaces I'll defintely ask... I "think" it's a yard/garden decoration .... it weighs more than the dolls!

ah ha... I did see it ... at nine9style!

don't forget that the 81 is outer length.... the seat is only 50-ish

    11. More baby clothes for my man-baby. It's 3-6 months size, the first born coats fit better on the body but the sleeves are way too short. Shane has a model body so again I think the SH body would be a better fit but it's not too bad. The back would have to be altered, maybe take about two inches out but it's ok. At least he has a rain coat now. :)

    12. omg... That is awesome! Just the excuse I needed to go to the baby section XD lol. I think after my Douglas gets home, I'm gonna have to take a trip to walmart :P

    13. hey Jaco!! wow~ that's a cool jacket!!
Dunno why...but there's no cool stuff for babies where I'm living.

Lady Tiku~ here's the pictures I promised. Sorry it's so late, but Chinese New Year has been hectic!
The hat is 24cm which is the same size as the largest head. If it's 26cm, I think it will fall right down past the forehead unless you have them wearing a really boofy wig?

    14. omg lmfao I soooo needed this ^^ (woke up to the beginnings of a sinus infection *_*:ablah:) The last ones in the rows (hat mashed down & real live "hat hair") just killed me lol... and yes this is perfet! I even have the 'sword' hands coming! Technically I will have a set of each kind >< lol. I also saw where the hat and cane are to be regular stock! So I can wait a few months (I'm in the process of selling FT my soul as it is lol), I will definitely get the smaller one when I do and only if I can spare it get both sizes. ^^ But a place to start is best. Thanks for the perk up ^^.

    15. I had some newborn white "sport" socks here that fit both SID and EID. They are very easy to find but a bit thick.

    16. he guys- I found this topic for SID-Men and EID-Women but not for EID-Men

so what about collecting some outfits here for your EID-Hunks?

I have a freedomteller-jeans that fits very well and my Tedros can sit it this trousers. Often people say the guys can not sit in Iple-jeans. No idea if this is true or not

    17. It's true. I got the washing blue jeans in model size and my guy cant sit down at all. not unless it's completely unzipped and he's exposing himself. His bumcrack will be hanging out the back as well.

    18. I would have to buy one and see for myself how the scale is, but it seems that Ikea is selling chairs meant for small children that could be close to the scale of dolls in the 70cm range. On their website it says that the height of the seat is 11inches, so a bit taller than the 8-9inches MadamMauMau mentioned, but hey, wood can be cut!

    19. Often I make stuff on my own. Took the pattern of the freedomteller-Jeans to built my own made of stretchy fabric :-) but some basics like a leatherjacket would be great to have without paying the price of half a doll

    20. The irony of FT's prices is they almost match, not super rich, but definitely, high quality human size stuff... think about the fact that the high price of the doll items is balanced by the facts that, 1. they are tailor made for these dolls with the same or higher standards ... and 2. they are hand made... not mass produced. Imagine trying to make a fully lined suit with real pockets everywhere.... now imagine making it on a tiny scale... I own 2 FT 3pc suits and I've actually had in my possession a real "Armani" 3pc suit... trust me FT stands up very well against them ^^... They really are worth every penny.
