Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.       And he is breathtaking, really a work of beauty. But when I unveiled him, I made this odd gasp of shock instead-- his eyebrows are completely different from the other faceups I've seen so far, and his expression is something completely else! I had braced myself for his general intensity, but this I wasn't expecting. He has sorrowful eyebrows. ;;

      They're extra-bushy and beautifully painted, and perfectly in-line with those slight little puckers that are sculpted into his forehead. (Have you noticed those? It's adorable. Really masterful. Here, they're showing here.)

      And, Luo does have a sad back-story. So the worried/soulful look works. ^^

      Except I have this problem with sad-faced dolls. They make me sad! I can't even look at the adorable Volks Okita without getting sniffly, and now this beautiful man is making my chest ache. It's terribly embarrassing. A big savage thing like me, too. ;;

      I had been hoping for the wolfish expression he has in all those straight-eyebrow pictures. Did anyone else get a sad Luo? I'm curious if they changed faceup styles/artists mid-stream, i.e. is there an assortment of eyebrow-types among the 50? ...or if this lad is an anomaly.

      He is a complete stunner, though, brooding or not. Just a lot to absorb at once, and no more daylight to do it with. I have to go assemble a few photos for the gallery!

    9. Oh, JNem, he's GORGEOUS. You have to share LOTS AND LOTS of photos of him. And compare him to Bijan (clothes completely optional). Whew!

      I think the sad look is the default - I might be wrong, but it looks like everyone who ordered faceups with him got eyebrows like those (though yours seem even more gloriously bushy that most). I think all the straight-eyebrowed/"wolfish" boys have custom faceups by the owners.

    12. I'm talking that look he has on the very first pic of the sales page! Or when he's modelling the 'crack turtleneck'. Those brows there have definitely less caterpillar shape & less fluff. (So to speak. ^^) It is possibly just a bit to get used to! His expressions are different on site. But if the faceups people /received/ are more consistently like this one, then that'd make more sense.

      So far in pics, I do see a lot more home faceups than defaults, overall-- I'll have to just look for more defaults.

      Also, he has been here less than 24 hrs. There is time to get used to him! And yes, lots more spam required. How better to get to know a man, than by taking tons & tons of nude photos of him. "Clothes completely useless", you mean.... This toffee-colored resin is just to swoon for, so I can't wait to get that costume off & the camera on. /And/ yes, Abbie, more of that profile...

      I looked up 3 more faceups, and saw the straight-brow look that was shown on the site. Like check out Ainy's boy in the arrival thread, he's a dead ringer for the model. It looks like we've got 2 very different artists at work...

      (Actually, I'm quite fond of the ridiculously-long ruffly bottom lashes. :love Not that this feature helps him look any less soulful, mind you. ^^ I just think it's charming.)
