1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse EID Special Edition - Akando / Evan / Kamau / Gentle Akando

Aug 29, 2009

    1. Look what I found in one of the threads:

-Iplehouse EIDs can't sit up very well unless they have no pants on.
      - by JennyNemesis
      and
EID AKANDO (Frederick): Has the extra-mobilty body type. I looked forward to the range of poses as advertised on the website, but this body is a nightmare to pose. The joint in his torso is useless. No locking mechanisms in his knees (well, there's something there, but it's absolutely useless) makes him horribly, horribly unstable. The double joints are really hard to use because they keep popping out of place every time I want to bend his libs that far, then it's a nightmare to get 'em back in place. It takes me a good 15 minutes of struggling to pose that guy. A pity too. He's so goregeous and picturesque, but the hassle of trying to pose him prevents me from giving this boy the photoshoots he deserves. - By Nollyn.
      Ah :(

    2. I kinda actually already knew about that. Thanks to this thread: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...le-House-EID-Super-Hero-vs.-Model-body-(NUDE) I knew the EID superhero body is not the best at posing sometimes, but I honestly couldn't give a monkeys myself. XD

Merely because there is no other company that makes the body I need for my boy and the face too. But then again people say the ResinSoul dolls are horrible to pose and they don't pose well at all. Well I have tons of proof that they do! Yes it takes a little patience sometimes, but I'm ok with that. My dolls are here too look how I want them to look, and they WILL hold the pose I want them to, because I'm good at getting them to do that. So it's not really a bother to me.

Is it putting you off alot? I've never really heard that many complaints about the posing of the EID boys.

    3. You know, from all of my 4 dolls (floating head is not counting XD ), only one can pose good. Other three is floppy and asking for a lot of time from me to make them pose )) Well, ok, you can't get everything in one doll, right?))) It's like a human being, everyone has pros and cons. And if someone is handsome as Kamau, I'll close my eyes on small imperfections of him) I myself not a perfect doll owner (my floating head lays without body for more than a year!)

    4. lol Hear hear! I have one doll who's strung really well and one who is in need of a completely restringing again due to floppiness and I've found just taking my time and fiddling with their string helps my boys pose just fine, so I'm willing to give it a try on my Kamau too. And like I say he's here to look good to not really so I can take pictures so it's ok with me. lol

But like you say, not everything can be perfect all the time. If he looks perfect to be my boy then that's what counts to me. XD

    5. Actually I find the EID guys to be the best posing of any of my guys including my Spinel or Yukinojo. They stand rock solid on carpeting and the elbow joints allow for some some nice posing. While putting the elbow and knee joints back together is kind of a pain, the unintentional popping out does lessen in time. And my guys sit in Iple jeans without a problem as long as the chair is high enough for them.

    6. See! I knew there would be someone out there who could fortify what I'd been told. I'm happy with my EID boy whatever the case may be. He may not be here yet, but I know I'll be super awesomely happy and content and he WILL pose how I want him to. All my dolls give in and do it in the end. lol

    7. I don't think the EID boys are particularly bad posers either. But they do take some getting used to. I think some of it is just learning what works and what doesn't and some of it is just people being afraid to muscle these guys around as much as they really need to be in order to do what you want them to. As for standing, mine sometimes wants to and sometimes he doesn't. Some days it doesn't matter how much I try to balance him, it won't work. Others times I don't even have to try at all and he stands perfectly.

    8. I have to agree with Patrice..........I think the EID guys pose just fine. Does it take patience at times to get them to sit on a surface without a chair back? Yes, it does, but, they can do it. (And as Patrice said, if they are sitting in a chair that's tall enough for them, there are no sitting issues at all.) All dolls have their quirks, the Iple big boys are no exception. The double knee joint not wanting to fit back into socket is the biggest quirk they have IMHO, but I"m used to it now, and it certainly isn't a deal breaker for me enjoying mine. Mine stand rock solid too, and the beauty of their sculpts (both face and body) certainly more than makes up for the fact that you need to have a little patience with them when posing their knees, or getting them to sit.

    9. See that's what I thought. Until recently every one of these big boys who was posed seemed to do it quite well so I didn't really know there were any issues. But I'm with you JinCIncy, the sculpting and beaty of the faces makes up for any faults. And I'm used to dolls that are supposedly notoriously bad to pose and I do just fine with them so I'm sure I'll get used to my big boys quirks perfectly easily. XD

    10. I've a problem with login on their site - registered, but no notification in my box(( And later, I can't login(( Says "login is not right" :? and if I try "password search", says "information is not accurate", even if it is((( Strange :(

    11. Yeah, I had the exact same problem when I registered. I managed to login one or two times to ask questions eventually, but then I logged out one day, and went to login about a week or two later and it wouldn't let me and it said there was no password recognition for that name or anything either...

My only advice is to create a new account, and it should work. I never recieved a notification email the first time I joined, second time it was BAM! Email notification, thanks for joining up with Iplehouse kinda thing. Frustrating and annoying I know but hey if it works it's gotta be some kind of good right? I hope that helps at least a little bit.

    12. The thing is, I asked about one month layaway on Q&A board, and they answered, and now I can't login((( can u imagine how stupid do I feel?))

    13. *pats* Yeah same thing happened to me. I asked quite a few questions and this was the only solution I could get for my problem too. I know it doesn't really help, but I had no idea what else to do. And like I say the minute I re-registered I got a notification via email which I didn't get the first time to say it had been successful registering.

I think that possibly sometimes it goes through enough to let you login in and stuff but once you log out, the login wasn't actually proper therefore it won't work. That why you don't get the join notification the first time. I don't know how that happens but it appears to be happening somehow anyway.

I'd suggest keep on trying, but since I did that a million times and it never worked, then I'm going to say it likely won't work for you either. I mean I was able to register with the exact same email I used the first time. Most sites don't let you do that unless the email you are using has not already been used on their site, so that's why I figure it never truly connected properly the first time I joined up. Sorry....

    14. Did you change all the information about you in the new registration form? Every time something like "this person is already registered", "email already used", "address used" and so on popping up. Doh :doh Not my day, definitely :|

    15. Um I didn't change my real name or anything. But my old name on there was I believe ArcaneDesires which actually is too long to fit into the name thing now... Weird, but anyway I just changed my account name to ArcaneDesire and used the same email and all personal info as before.

Huh, see it never did all that stuff with me. Perhaps emailing them and see if there is anything you can do to rectify this situation then. Hopefully they will be able to resolve this weird issue because that sucks otherwise.

    16. Thank you) I ll email them, cause I just can't get thru((( They do everything to keep me away from their dolls)

    17. How mean of them! *pokes Iplehouse for you* I hope they can figure this out for and fast!

    18. I think you should kick them for me XD
I registered with different name and email at least, no notification again, log in, click on Q&A and my old ID comes up! I managed to post there, but I still can't open the answer for my old question "wrong password" :?
They didn't reply yet, but I hope they gonna do something((
oh. I would never do all this for the real guy, but for the resin one - here we go!

    19. I found the problem out - their site cut the last letter of my password))) That's why I couldn't log in. But no notification yet.
So guys, count ur letters when register on Iplehouse!)

    20. Ahhh, well at least you found that out then. So can you login now even without your notification or can you still not?
