    1. Congrats Starzzz! SE Akando is a gorgeous sculpt and I am so jealous! I really want him so bad, and the RealSkin Kamau too. They call to me so bad! But anywho congrats on your order and paying most of him off already, that's great news!

      Congrats to you too Kazuki! Kamau, one of the great wonders of the world. Ohh you have a DZ Hong, I bet they'd look handsome in a photo shoot next to each other. I'm sure he'll look ok with your boys.

    6. Thank you so much! He'll be my first resin boy, & I've had a crush on Akando since the Pierrot version came out years ago, but I couldn't afford him then...naturally, this only adds to my excitement now! <3 <3 <3

      I'm reading through the old Akando Discussion/EID Boy Discussion threads & it seems like there was a super long wait for dolls to arrive when the EID boys were first released. Is this still the case, or has IH smoothed out the process by now?

Right now I don't think the wait has anything to do with the manufacturing process- but they are a bit behind- they posted and said that basically in the last month or so they've been overwhelmed with orders so it'll be at least the stated wait on the item description pages. They have so many they had to change their order fulfillment process- layaway dolls don't get started upon order any more, they are going by the day you finish paying them off to try and clear up the backlog.

      They put out two new EID woman sculpts in real skin before the JID real skin release was closed, then they released the RS EID men during the Asa and Ashanti ordering period.

    8. Akando was the first EID and indeed one of the first 70cm dolls I fell in love with too. His face is just totally gorgeous! I wish I could get an Akando. I want one so bad, there's just something about him that totally calls to me.

      But as for the wait, yeah what Kadepie says is right. Kinda a back log from releasing them all so close together. But I still have 2 months to finish even paying my boy off so the wait doesn't really matter to me.

    9. ah yes...it makes sense that the wait will be affected by how many *other* dolls they have to make...and they did release quite an assortment there, didn't they? :D

      It's funny; I ordered clothes for Akando with Summertime in mind, but it's starting to sound like he'll need a Winter Wardrobe by the time he actually gets here! XoD XoD XoD

    10. Well shoot...my husband was looking at my car today and adding up what all the parts are going to cost and well, I guess now isn't a good time to get Evan :( I didn't pay yet so I was able to cancel my order. Maybe next time they have a RS even otherwise I'll just get him in normal skin.

      Bummer.

    12. swazini: Keep your eyes on the marketplace around Christmas/Thanksgiving. You never know, one might come along in RS just for you! Some folks buy them, then quickly realize the EIDs are just too big for them. So you might get one yet! :)

      I know he's not on the list, but I put a RS Chase on lay away around the 10th. :) It was a tough choice between the Light Tan Kamau and him. Before they popped up, I was all for an Ashanti. But the boys will always come first for me.

    13. Aernath that's totally true. I've seen quite a few people selling their EID boys not long after getting them due to them being too big and things.

      Eh Chase totally counts! He's one of the Special boys. I am soooooo in love with the RS Chase, but Kamau I think he'll always hold my heart along with RS Akando. But then you already have one gorgeous hunk of Kamau don't you. Stalker? Me? Noooo never... XD

      Anywho congrats on the layaway! I can't wait to see pics of him when he eventually comes home.

    18. Goodness me, lucky you! :3 Congratulations.

      And those EID's are quite easy to carry around, I spent years as an art student doing weight training with my art stuff... so now I'm super strong and can carry 5 dolls (2 Supergem on SSDelf an SDelf and an EID all at once.) Heavy lifting of boxes also helped with that since I do deliveries too.. Muscly armmmsss!!

      Gawd I want my Kamau...

    19. I dont if someone can answer to my question but I want to know if EID fit in the Mecha angel clothes?
      I know the pants will be too long but for the top??
      I have some top for my mecha so I will be happy if my Kamau will fit on it.

      That's quite a bit of difference and that's just the more slender EID body. If you are looking at the Super Hero body, I really don't think there's any chance at all. The Mecha Angel stats don't appear to have some of the stats of the Iplehouse stats, but that should give you ideas of most of it.
