Iplehouse EID Tedros

I kind of like the head after it's painted... though I think I'd be disappointed too if I'd wanted it to actually represent a specific animal. To me it looks like a fantasy creature.

I kind of wish I could see a Tedros in a Beauty and the Beast photostory - because that's what the chimera face looks like, really: an unspecific fantasy beast-thing.

I like him better without facial hair, I think... or maybe with just stubble on the jaw, nothing on the upper lip... His leather jacket is gorgeous.

 

Thanks so much for the information. The greened resin doesn't look too bad, more of an olive-tan sort of color so I think I'll ake my chances with this boy. All my dolls live in the closet anyway away from the sun (I really need curtains).

Did I just decide to buy him. Oh boy.

 

I'm tempted to get the animal bits & then dremel off the sculpted mane, sculpt the ears in & hair with mohair, I think that would look really good

 

Wow, I am glad those Chimera parts got captured before they took them down. I wonder why they did that? I like them much better than Chase's. I like his outfit as well. Its like, Australian Outback meets Circus Tophat. The staff is awesome. I absolutly love this doll! His face is so awesome.

 

Dang I just realized it doesn't say UV real skin on his page so they are offering the non uv which is worse? ._.

 

Oh - Tedros is really, really good looking! What a gorgeous costume he has. I look at the special edition costumes Iplehouse is capable of making and wonder why their regular clothing lines are so unexciting!

I think Tedros has an over-all much more manly appearance than most of Iplehouse's male dolls. The only thing that disappoints me a bit about him is he has quite a narrow jawline that doesn't really balance the strength of his other features.

 

His profile is faaaabulous. The nose, the jaw, eeee. I am loving that thick shaggy wild wig on him, too; it sets off that romance-novel-cover-model profile perfectly, and complements that bodice-ripper blouse+vest combo.

I have Iples' first run of tan resin from 2006 (Soo Ri), he's lived here for 4 years, and he still hasn't turned green or faded to any bizarre colors. None of the '07 or '08 Tans (Lion or Soo Ri 2), nor the '09 Brown resin (Luo), shows any trace of green yet. And Realskin Akando has been home for 1 year and still has perfect skin. I do live in a very dim place, so I don't even need blackout curtains, but I guess not everybody can live in a fogbank. ^^ Get curtains, don't put fluorescent lightbulbs in your doll room, take 'em to indoor or evening meetups instead of noonday beach-parties-- your tawny men will probably be just fine.

(Or, just keep keepin' em in the closet like you do. Safer than anything!)

Thanks to those of you who put the chimera pics up here before Iple took them down so that at least there are those of us in the Southern Hemisphere who weren't up all night waiting for new pics to be posted who still get to saw them (5:56am here) ...even if they weren't much to talk about. I did like that cane though....hoping they'll still go with that either way. Argh... wishing I could scrounge up the money some how...he's just gorgeous!

 

I'm in love with him; he's perfect for a character I've been writing about.

Oh gosh... Not only is he gorgeous, he has a lovely leather coat and bag (hat's a bit much in my opinion)! If he were paler, I would be in big trouble... Not that I don't like his tan skin, I love it, it just doesn't fit the character I have in mind for him.

I'm thinking Iple should've stuck with what they did with tamer Evan: release the "chimera" heads as a mask of whatever animal.

Could you imagine what Evan Tamer would've looked like had he been a Chimera panther? Might've been hearing-impaired too. XD;;;

I would've totally gone for Chase if they had given him a wolf head mask. Tedros's chimera head would've been great if it was just a lion mask, too.

 

I want I want I want I want!!!! Lol He's so absolutely perfect in every way. I love his outfit, I love his face, I love him with or without his stubble.. God I hope I can figure out some way to get him.

 

Here is my private Option Parts Fantasy = Instead of a choice of the animal head & parts, offer the option of a second regular Tedros head with the beard faceup option on. That way, (a) he could grow stubble or go clean-shaven, as the mood takes him, and (b) no more bizarre impersonations of the rare and elusive Fubar Lion. Hee! Well. Just a pipe-dream...

(Srsly, though, I love my Pierrot fullset for that reason; Akando can wear his makeup or not, depending on mood, & there's no silly Furry bits to take up space. Those were the days.)

 

For those of us who LIKE the chimera (although I do wish for ears, LOL!) . . . I hope they're not reconsidering offering those parts as-is, I would like to buy Tedros, but only if I can get him fullset as a chimera/therianthrope!

I really like that idea. Even a dreaming Tedros, or angry face Tedros would have been nice too.

I'm still getting him with the stubble for my yummy renaissance faire BLACKSMITH (leather apron anyone?) I need a blond wig for Elidyr...

 

He's so pretty. I wonder how much he will be...T_T I just want him and the model bod..no chimera parts..I have no need for them. Though it will be tempting. I'd hvae no need for the outfit tho. But I like the wig he has on. ;D
