1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse EID Tedros

Feb 4, 2010

    1. Yep. :) Just place your order, and then use Paypal to pay 1/3rd of your total within 3 days. You then have 3 months to pay the rest. If you end up needing more than 3 months, there's a service charge that increases the longer you take.

    2. Btw... those resin problems Iplehouse had in the past (realskin turning green): They were solved, weren't they?

    3. Gosh.:sweat I hope so... I just got myself the RS Jessica.... I'll let you know if she turns green on me. God forbid.

    4. A moment of laughter. My sister saw a pic of the 'lion' and asked "What the hell blew up in his face?" I realized a second later that she was right. He does look like one of those cartoon characters after a bomb goes off in their face with the blown back 'mane' and lips. Then her little one pointed at the pic and promptly declared. "Bad monster gonna eat her!" Guess he's not quite Disney's Beast even if IH is trying to make the comparision. ;)

And to answer the greening question: No the problem wasn't solved. The IH real skin sill goes green, just slower with the UV formula and the normal skins fade. So keep them out of the sunlight and the wrong indoor lighting or your $$$$$ invesment is going to turn on ya.

    5. sherri1993, if I remember correctly, the SID will be smaller than the EID.

    6. Miss Ally - Thank you <3

    7. But it also might not. There are no definites - there is only the eternal gamble of buying colored resin.

I would suggest scrolling back in this same thread, by a few pages, and reading all the posts that have already addressed this question... the whole UV/greening thing has been hashed out extensively, and I don't feel like copy-and-pasting that many posts.

    8. If anyone is concerned about the color changing - Iplehouse did an exposure test and the results are posted on their site under the heading of Data Room. It is a very thorough explination.

    9. Thanks Genesblues. I love him and boy do I want to buy, but I am still unsure (must try to be practical, it might kill me though- I'm bad at it).

    10. With regards to resin colouration, as long as you're careful to limit your UV exposure you're going to be fiine. One way or another, 10-20 years down the track the colour will change slightly either way and no matter what the colour...such is the nature of synthetic polymers. It just pays to take care of your dolls....especially if you live in an area prone to harsh sunlight.

    11. When did Iplehouse start to use the UV resin? The comparison pics of the new resin when it greened was not all that bad-, but the non UV were bad. I have an Iplehouse I sword dance in real skin. I have a sinking feeling she came out long before the resin change. If so, maybe they will re-release with the other JIDs in real skin staring Feb. 12th? Any thoughts/opinions would be helpful since I would rather re-purchase her now and look for Tedros later (I think).

    12. The UV protection realskin started last summer with Jessica. Both my Evan and Luo don't have the UV protection and have not greened. I'd say if your I is OK now and you're careful she'll probably be fine.

    13. I mean..I'm sure I'll want to take my guy out once in a while..but then again he is 6 lbs. Soo...How often are we going to be want to carrying a 6 pounder around outside? I dont even think my Mecha Angel weighs that much. O_O

    14. Patrice S- thank you. So far she has not changed color. It is re-assuring to know that your guys are ok.

    15. Which is why I was asking. I'm going to buy him anyway (realskin is such a pretty colour), but want to treat him properly. Since I don't take my dolls outside anyway and keep them in boxes/closets when I don't work on them, I think that this guy will be fine.

    16. Hmm... I keep going back and looking at him, but I think the final decision is going to be up to my husband and how much he wants a boyfriend for our Luna. I do love that beard on him, though... and I'd even be tempted to get the chimera parts and make a big fake-fur mane to cover up the sculpted one (which I think does look just a tad silly). And maybe a more accurate lion-tail too... :kitty2

    17. Heheh... well, of course I want him! But if I could (money and room-wise) buy every doll I wanted I'd probably end up on a "Hoarders" show! (It's just so easy to obsess on BJDs! --and all you ENABLERS don't help much!!!) ;)

Problem is, I love him in that outfit and with those eyes and wig... gah, he'd cost a fortune to bring home... I'll have to think... Probably up until the last day, and maybe even after that, although it'll be harder to get him after... *sigh*

I've managed to resist the EID boys so far... almost went for Kamau, but got a Euclase instead... Oh... I should do some work and stop angsting over this, at least for a while!!! *_*

    18. Yeah, me too, until now! Actually, I was dead-set against getting a big, huge, muscle-bound EID boy, and then Tedros showed up. :o One look at that hot, gorgeous face, and there went my resolve.

I knew Iple House was going to get me...it was just a matter of time.:doh

    19. I never for once thought that I'd ever want want EID either  But as soon as I saw Tedros I wanted him ... I don't even like facial hair on my dolls but he is PERFECT for a character of mine. EVERYTHING about him is just perfect.

Is it sad that I keep on going back at the page just to look at his pics? I'd love to bring him home but even with layaway I cant :...(:...(

    20. See, this is what I get for purposely avoiding Iplehouse ... I miss out on the new release. Of course, it keeps me from drooling over NS Kamau, sooooooooo hope they release him as a brown skin.
Tedros has a wonderful smoldering gaze (and yes I like him hairless too-I see that is an option) but his chin is too narrow for my character. Guess that's a good thing as I don't have $ for an EID right now.
