1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse EID Tedros

Feb 4, 2010

    1. @Biggy: Remo and Luther also have to stay bodiless a while, 'cause I'm going to buy the second Dutch Tedros. Do you want him with or without his beard?

    2. With beard, without chimera parts and without walking stick. But I will buy him on layaway so it might be july if he finally arrives at my place. That is if the customs over here work a little faster by then, otherwise it will be august I'm afraid. But he sure is well worth the wait.

    3. I love this guy, the bad thing is having to wait for my husband
Aque tell me if I buy one or layaway:ablah:
curse so much waiting, I love your beautiful face:drool:drool:drool
congrats to whoever is expecting :aheartbea

    4. I'm so on the fence right now. 6 lbs. is a lot of doll for my poor wrists to handle. But then again, I'm not going to be holding him all the time, right? I showed him to my hubby, who thought he has a nice face, but hates the outfit. He said, "He's ok...show me the girl dolls you were waiting for." So I showed him the Oasisdoll Linglan and Natalie, and he said, "Yeah, I like them better." Well, natch...of course he does. But at least he didn't burst out laughing when he saw Tedros, like he did when I showed him some other male dolls I'd considered over the last year or so (who will remained unnamed!) So if I decided to go through with getting the swarthy one, at least I'd know he wouldn't be shunned at home. :sweat Hubby said, "You'll have more fun with a girl doll, anyway." I wonder if that's true - I mean, do I primarily play with only my female dolls? I know their clothes (well, my Naraes, anyway) get changed a little more often. But often times I'm waiting to shoot another part of a story before changing clothing, and lately that can be a half a year or so. *sigh* I'm very conflicted about Tedros now, and am glad there's a little time to think about it. I worry about struggling with the mobility joints, and getting him to sit so he looks comfortable (like my Hound can do), or having him stand all the time....and just dealing with that gigantic body. Ach - I seem to be talking myself out of him! I go back and forth... *_*

    5. StephG, in the model body stats it says that model body EIDs only weigh 2.6 kg as opposed to the super hero body EIDs who weigh 3kgs. Doesn't that sound much better for your wrists? *enabler in training*^^

    6. I'm going to buy him with beard and walking stick, but without outfit and chimera parts. Have to wait until the next salary comes in, though and see if I still want to go through with it then. But your right: this guy is worth the wait.

    7. Waiting for default here - I had to q & a Iple, but was assured there will be a default. I'm hoping he'll be out in time for the realskin release, so I can order him in a darker skin because I think I wouldn't like him as much with light skin. I also hope they'll offer the Noctarcana faceup with the beard for default dolls...*hopes* :D

    8. Steph, I was surprised by how much lighter my Yur with medium breasts felt than my Luna with large breasts so I'd imagine if Iple says the Model body is lighter than the Superhero, I bet it will feel a lot lighter too. And I haven't had any problem getting either my Luo or Even to sit on a chair in Iple jeans although I thing it would be a problem with my chaise because that sits lower to the ground.

So I would say go with what makes your heart sing.

    9. I've been debating about whether to get him with the beard or not. I love him with the beard but I also love how the beauty of his jawline and chin shows without. Oh well, I won't order him until early March so I've got a couple of weeks to decide.

    10. Well, that could make a difference to me, so thank you for that information! I wonder what 2.6 kg is in lbs. - I'll have to go find a conversion for it. My Hound is 4.9 lbs., which is doable for my wrists - probably because he's not terribly bulky.

So her breasts made that much difference, eh? Well, that's a lot of resin in that cleavage! :>) I really am wishing I could see pictures of the Model body, sitting in a chair, leaning elbows on a table (as much as possible), or looking like he's lounging. Most of my posing is in at-home situations, with kitchen tables and chairs, couches and armchairs, and if that body is going to look crazy big and uncomfortable, then having a gorgeous face isn't going to help. I'd love to get him, because his face HAUNTS me. :sweat

    11. Life lesson learned, #1,437: Never pass up anything that haunts you now. :aheartbea Haunting is not known to decrease over time.

    12. *sigh* I want this boy so, SO badly, but I don't think he's in the cards. I think I might try to just get his outfit and see if I can get him as a standard version later or hope they re-release him in Realskin sometime in the future. T_T

Sadly, like everyone who's running a split is keeping his outfit, so I'm not even sure I'll get that much. *goes back to stalking the MP*

    13. Truer words have never been posted. I have to figure out a way to get this guy!

    14. Gah..I wanna order him now. I dont wanna wait. O_O

    15. hey quick question. If I were to put him on a 5 month layaway but managed to pay him off after 3/4, would I still have to pay the full fee for 5 months or just 4? I know I can defo afford him over 5 months, even if that means paying an extra $100, but I think I might be able to do 4 though. However, I dont want to agree on 4 and not have the money read in time.

    16. Nuff said! Steph, if you don't get this guy, he's going to start haunting your dreams!

    17. I can only wish I could afford him. He (and so many other dolls) are out of my reach right now.

    18. You are very wise (and we knew that!) - and I know exactly what you mean. Every time I look at pictures of grey skinned Onyx I kick myself. I swear I have bruises...

:>) I'm leaning towards getting him this morning...we'll see as the day progresses. I seem to be having some good luck selling some things, so maybe it's meant to be? :sweat

    19. We're not allowed to post WTB threads in the splits forum. I tried and it was deleted. It's against the rules to start up a thread there unless you're running a split. You also can't post up a split and just buy the outfit because it's not considered keeping a significant portion of the doll. The waiting room can't be used to negotiate splits, either. I'd try for a split and keep his head, but I don't think I'll find any takers on the body and I think I only have enough money for the outfit.

So for those of us holding out for the outfit about the only option is to wait and see if more people post up splits in the Splits forum. But it looks like right now everyone who's not getting his outfit is just ordering the doll and not posting up the option for the split. I've still got my fingers crossed that some more people who aren't getting the outfit will start splits.

I'm so heartbroken over not being able to get him or his outfit now...it's terrible. T_T I'm saving my nickles and pennies, but unless more splits go up, I don't think it'll be happening.

    20. You can work to try and find a split as you've noted, I've stalked the Marketplace before for hard-to-get splits (and of course not always suceeded). Or you could go and set up a new split. I believe the current rules are that you need to take the head, the body, or parts totaling 1/4 the price of the doll you're ordering. The animal parts + the outfit should qualify for that even if you end up ordering everything. Apart from that, yes, there's not much you can do, rules are the rules. Good luck everyone!
