Iplehouse EID Tedros

Oh, I know. I just don't have the money to get anything other than his outfit and maybe MAYBE his head, but even then I'd need to find a buyer for his body.

So yeah. I guess I'll just have to keep hoping that some more people are willing to do splits with the rest of us. I'd run the order myself but I don't have the money to do it as per the rules right now.

 

Darn. Could very well be I'm not going to be able to buy him. Suddenly the coming months are going to be a little too uncertain for me and well... a doll is just a doll. Not worth getting in trouble over.

 

I fully intended to not buy anymore dolls for a long while since in one year's time I have bought 14 dolls. However, I almost passed out with giddiness when I saw him. I'm going to have to put him on lay-away. Must not show my daughter though. She can't afford him and I know she would want him badly.

 

What a bummer, Silk. Im sorry to hear this. Hopefully, Tedros will come out as a standard EID later, and you will be able to get him then.

 

Did that a couple of days ago - when he had just been released. Got deleted. I'm gonna recruit my aunt to help me sew an outfit. I really don't want the Tedros one anymore. Too much annoyance and thus, too many negative memories associated with it. But he is a gorgeous guy!

 

I wouldnt give up on the outfit just yet because there is still quite a while until the end ordering period ... something might pop up in the splits. Either way, i think its a shame that there isnt a way to announce if you want to join a split for a certain thing.

Silk, it's too bad that you cant get him. Like Rabbit-moon said, he'll be released in standard and then unboubtedly in real skin too. Or im sure that you might be able to find him again in the MP.

 

@Rabbit-moon & Bexii: Thanks. I'm sure there will be other possibilities to get him in realskin (it will remain a limited-only skintone, am I right?). And it's possible to ask for a custom face-up with facial hair, so I will get Tony Velez eventually.

 

Sorry, I had seen lots of WTB threads for Luna's outfit when she was released, and made my own (unsuccessful) WTB thread for Chase's outfit, so I didn't know they were no longer allowed.

I wish Iplehouse would consider selling limited outfits for a period of time, the way they re-release limited realskin dolls after the initial release. Some of them I could live without, but there are a few I would pounce on if given an opportunity.

 

I was actually wondering about this myself. Iplehouse says that you can have the NC face-ups, as long as it is not the current one. So, does that mean that you can have the Tedros face-up on the Tedros sculpt when it is released? I was tempted to do this myself, but the outfit - in fact the whole Tedros, is just perfect the way he is.

 

I guess so, otherwise they wouldn't say so. But it is also possible to ask for a custom face-up and pay extra for a tattoo or facial hair, so even if it isn't possible to buy a Tedros in the future and ask for his NC face-up, you could still have a doll with a beard.

 

Or even if they offered it in the clothing line at a higher price than the introductory piece.....

I am slowing climbing on the fence about this guy that I "just had to have" a few days ago. Every time I think that they can't come out with anything more striking... they do! So maybe if I skip this one, I can get someone else later or order him when they do a LE.... and actually I think he would look even better in a slightly darker tan - which is what he looks like in the pictures, darker than the real skin, more swarthy.

Like everyone else, it is the outfit that would be soooo hard to replicate.

Wow, I wish I would have waited before ordering my Tedros. I didn't want the outfit but if I would have known that someone wanted it I would have ordered it for them. My doll is on layaway still but I don't know if Iplehouse would allow me to add to my order since it's an LE.

 

We should all write to Iplehouse and ask them to re-release some of the outfits that came with the limited dolls.

(Yeah, I didn't know you weren't allowed to post WTB threads in the splits forum either, and my post was deleted as well... now we know... oh, well. As soon as they start shipping,we're all gonna have to post a WTB in the clothing sub-forum and cross our fingers ...and pay after market prices.)

 

They're actually usually really good about letting you add to the order. You could always post up a thing in their Q&A board and ask. I'm SURE you'd find a taker for the outfit if you did. *raises hand* >>;

 

Yes, there's quite some people out there who want the outfit - saw several requests to join splits for the outfit before they got deleted.

Actually, it's a good thing I've given up on the outfit. Cos, to be honest, I could pay for it but I spent so much money on doll-stuff in December (Minimee head) and January (Unidoll Ark) that I wouldn't really be comfortable with spending over 100 USD again on doll-stuff this month ... So I'll just buy the eyes and wig for my Minimee and be happy with that.

 

Thank you so much for making me feel better about the 5 dolls I've bought in 1 year. I have put Tedros on layaway as well. I think I'm totally going to be broke soon. I'm a student with no job.

 

Wahh. The wait is killing me. I want to put Tedros on layaway now but have to wait until March 4th because im waiting for someone to send me the rest of the cash for a doll I sold. I just have so many fears, a) what if tedros ends early and b) what if this person doesnt send me the cash until after the order period.

Anyway. Im defo bringing him home and I've figured that I will just be able to afford it on a 3 month layaway if i cut back on ALL spenditures He'll be my only doll this year but he's worth it

LOL! I am glad that I am able to assuage any guilt about your doll purchases. The way I look at it, I just passed the one year mark last month, so it's a whole new doll shopping year, right? Yeah, that's it.

Anyone know how long after the ordering period is over when IH starts shipping? They're pretty quick aren't they? A month and a half, I thought?
